It's on the BBC news website.

What an utter prick.

I'd my dcs did this at the dinner table there would be words.

Shows his complete and utter contempt for parliamentary discussions that aren't going his way.

I like JRM. He always seems to entertain when on LBC and Question Time.

People may not agree with what he says, but fair play to him for being able to answer every question. I don't remember anyone being able to put him on the spot and catch him out.

He is very well read and is able to support what he says with numbers.

Imagine he is disliked more for fact that he is worth over 100 Million as opposed to his political views.

Snowjive2 · 04/09/2019 04:19

Er, no, he’s widely disliked for his political views. Which are odious. Most of us can see past his casual fluency and ‘entertaing’ (really?!) but in fact completely manufactured, crassly eccentric persona.

alwaysthinkingofsleep · 04/09/2019 04:39

@MysteryTripAgain JRM didn't Answer any questions in the snippet I caught...eloquently talked his way out of answering any question! He's a joke.

Gingerkittykat · 04/09/2019 04:56

Poor guy looks tired. Maybe nanny had a night off and he had to care for a teething Sixtus.

Or maybe the haunted lamp post is just an arrogant shit.

Mummyoflittledragon · 04/09/2019 05:05

@MysteryTripAgain

Really?? JRM is a misogynistic twit, whose exclusive education was totally wasted on a mediocre brain. His attitude and general sense of entitlement toward most eschelons of society, which he considers beneath him - ie not just the hoi polloi - belongs in the 19th century if not before.

A pp said he normally had more decorum. Well yes, maybe. The mask is finally slipping. Poor little Boy Scout is finding it hard to keep up the pretence.

Egghead68 · 04/09/2019 05:07

Not as bad as Ian Duncan Smith.

bellinisurge · 04/09/2019 06:02

I can't forget what he said when asked at the airport (on the way back from Balmoral) if the Queen was pleased to see him. He said " You'll have to ask her". Not some faux deferential shit about Her Madge being respectful of her constitutional duty. It was like some Love Island contestant being asked about some other Love Island contestant and giving some crappy petulant comment to OK magazine.
In other words, I think he got a bollocking from the Queen.

countrygirl99 · 04/09/2019 06:13

JRM doesn't answer questions, he just tries to hide his emptiness with big words. He thinks dropping in a bit of Latin makes him sound clever. He is all show and no substance, he embodies everything that is wrong with this country.

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 04/09/2019 06:16

Actually last night's events at the HoC were pretty exciting and definitely loud so he can't use boredom as an excuse.

I don't think EU negotiators find all this funny - more bewildering, tiresome and sad.

TheBigBallOfOil · 04/09/2019 06:20

“He is very well read” pity he doesn’t understand what he reads.
And with all the money you’d think he could buy a fucking suit that fits.
Knobhead.

HerSymphonyAndSong · 04/09/2019 06:39

He’s an absolute phoney, I can’t believe how many people are taken in by him! He revels in being seen as an eccentric but he is completely banal.

“Wouldn't any of us 'spread out' if presented with empty seats on a plane/train too?”

Not at work I wouldn’t. And he was at work. What is the opposite of professionally offended? Wilfully excusing people’s deliberately offensive behaviour with tenuous explanations

bellinisurge · 04/09/2019 06:41

If I did that at work, I'd be disciplined

Hirsutefirs · 04/09/2019 06:45

They don’t make me work up to 11 at night, so I won’t judge.

StealthPolarBear · 04/09/2019 06:45

In fairness of I did that at work depending on the day no one would know (often wfh) or at worst I'd get some odd looks. But I still wouldn't do it (as I'd fall off my swivel chair :o)

RuggerHug · 04/09/2019 06:56

@MysteryTripAgain pity he's never answered why he's so hateful towards women who've had abortions and so against it in all circumstances while being comfortable with profiting from abortion pills. Or why he has such faith in brexit when he's moved his funds to Dublin..

Bookworm4 · 04/09/2019 07:03

Still mystified who voted for this thing 🙄
A multi multi millionaire will most definitely have the ordinary persons interests at heart, eh no he’s lining his own pockets.

JadeBigBum · 04/09/2019 07:10

So bloody disrespectful. He’s in the House of Commons not his sofa at home waiting for the butler to bring him a sherry.
Shows just what respect he has for things he considers beneath him - y’know like democracy in action.

I cannot bear him, he makes my skin crawl.

JadeBigBum · 04/09/2019 07:13

Anna Turley has it spot on...

Kokeshi123 · 04/09/2019 07:15

And yet he is apparently so "polite".....!?!?!

Stupid horrible man. I'd rather see the Downing Street cat in charge of government than that Mogg.

catsmother · 04/09/2019 07:22

It is supposed to be an honour and a privilege to sit in parliament FFS. Make no mistake, this was a flagrant display of contempt for proceedings.

We have all seen MPs 'dropping off' at various times. Not ideal, but many of us have been there - struggling to stay awake during a long presentation or similar. This was nothing like that .... this was deliberate, pointed, rude and arrogant. His smug superiority makes me want to slap him at the best of times - last night's childish display probably has millions more wanting to do the same. Disgusting, but not surprising more's the pity.

cherin · 04/09/2019 07:28

I read it as a good sign. They’re losing their cool. BJ was furious and flustering yesterday and nothing at all like a confident statesman. Tories policy was put in a corner multiple times and exposed for the indefensible waffle it actually is. The Mogg surely upset not only you, but a thousands Tory grannies that are now thinking they’d slap his wrists if he was reachable. That’s a thousands Tory grannies that still have a vote, and might think again.
The king is not naked yet, but the cape is definitely off, and he’s wearing a flimsy chemise on knobbly legs and an old, fat tummy

NoWordForFluffy · 04/09/2019 07:35

If I tried this at work in the office, I'd fall off the chair! If I tried it on a day I was in Court? You'd hear the bollocking from the other side of the world.

It's disrespectful at best. He clearly holds his peers in contempt.

cherin · 04/09/2019 07:35

These people (Bj, JRM, mark francois) have a massive ego. They’re narcissists. And maschilists, I think.
Nothing better than ridiculing them. Always.

EllebellyBeeblebrox · 04/09/2019 07:37

I fucking hate him. He is a waste of skin and an absolute piece of shit

JadeBigBum · 04/09/2019 07:49

Cherin - I do hope you are right about the grannies!
