I can see the point if it's medicines or medical supplies, but I've seen a few threads here where people are stashing tuna, toilet rolls and sweets!?

Are you all fucking mad?

I'm a total remainder but come on, I know it'll be shit but you'll still find asda and tesco will be open

FTR, I used to work with the former CEO of Sainsburys, and he is EXTREMELY bright.

MigorRortis · 08/08/2019 00:20

Of course you did @yolofish 😂✌️🇬🇧

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 08/08/2019 00:23

Will autocorrect work better when we crash into sunlit uplands?

MigorRortis · 08/08/2019 00:24

Standard answer from remainer mumnetters @AutumnCrow

AutumnCrow · 08/08/2019 00:32

I was being generous, Mr Rortis, as my sex, social position and training in China requires.

yolofish · 08/08/2019 00:38

oh yes I did migor and he was also very very handsome as a young(er) man.... but that is off topic.

BlackeyedGruesome · 08/08/2019 01:40

Trusting in God and stockpiling tying up my camel here.

Particularly pleasing that I am using your hard earned taxes to do so. Grin

I haven’t read all the responses here but just had drinks with my friend who works for dhl. She said it’s likely not going to be good when brexit finally happens, as they can’t figure out any logistics until they know what’s happening, but that it’s definitely going to be bad for at least a little while. (Dhl apparently handles nhs logistics btw).

Stockpiler = probably a lib dem
person more likely to live close to London with links to other EU countries and kids who would previously have benefited from Erasmus.

notangelinajolie · 08/08/2019 02:11

And DH who works at a major airport says that business (airfeight) has never been so good. His company says bring Brexit on.

bellinisurge · 08/08/2019 07:24

@MigorRortis has discovered emojis. It's something else to do with their fingers at least.

TheElementsSong · 08/08/2019 07:34

Ah, you mean (See also: POSH ELITES, CEO OF SAINSBURYS):

^REMAINERS:
(1) Non-existent, insignificant, effectively 0% of the population who should be silenced and have no effect on anything at all.
(2) A powerful elite fifth column of traitorous saboteurs in vast numbers, tainted by some form of foreign connection, who can kill Brexit fairies by sheer power of thought (See also: EXPERTS, POSH ELITES) and who are to blame for undesirable bad things happening that aren’t/weren’t happening but also are happening and are desirable despite being bad (See also: PROJECT FEAR).^

Oh, and [emoji][emoji].

SistemaAddict · 08/08/2019 09:22

If it wasn't for the disadvantaged, ill, and vulnerable that will suffer most then I'd be inclined to think that brexit is some kind of Darwinian challenge.

Aw Mr inflatable hot tub has been banned again 🤣 I'll miss his emojis Grin

TheElementsSong · 08/08/2019 20:24

Aw Mr inflatable hot tub has been banned again

Surely not? Shock I mean, he said he was a newly registered arrival sent by the Daily Fail, so that must have been the truth, right? I have it on good authority that it’s only Remainers (all one of us) who namechange and sock puppet Wink

AutumnCrow · 08/08/2019 22:20

The previously banned tedium has been shown the door I see.

www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/bookmakers-taking-bets-what-government-18861706.amp

Bookmakers are taking bets on what the Government will ration first after Brexit

The betting firm are offering 12/1 that food rationing will be officially introduced by the end of 2019.

SistemaAddict · 09/08/2019 09:12

Surely not TheElementsSong. The shameless non BeLeavers. Where is their can do attitude?!

TheElementsSong · 14/08/2019 08:19

Thing is (based on my personal thoughts):

By the very act of stockpiling, Remainers are effectively acknowledging that No Deal Crash Out Brexit is going to happen at the end of October. This, according to most Leavers on here, is their dearest wish and fondest desire, and has been since 2016. Leavers have also been demanding for 3 years than Remainers "get over it" and "accept that it's happening." So why then are the same Leavers so bizarrely enraged by Remainers doing precisely what they were told by their new superiors? Confused

Mamamia456 · 14/08/2019 09:07

The Elementsong - What do they mean by Government Rationing, issuing ration books, can't see that happening. Supermarkets sometimes "ration" products now especially if there's a deal on limiting some things to only 2 per customer for example. I think it's just a way for betting shops to make money.
