I'm going to vote for an MP that supports Brexit and leaving the customs union and single market. What about the rest of you?

Anna I'm inclined to agree with you somewhat. I'm in my late twenties early 30's age bracket. The majority of my friends and cousins of a simar age have all come out and said similar, "I'm not voting again there is no point" and I genuinely feel like they are being honest.

One said why should I bother to go out of my way to a polling station, vote for it not to even be counted.

I think we will see reduced voting numbers.

RedToothBrush · 04/04/2019 13:33

I can negotiate on fracking if it will win your support

The80sweregreat · 04/04/2019 18:42

The depressing thing is whatever happens with Brexit ( deal no deal another vote or whatever) I bet the Tories still win.
Their normal voters might be gnashing their teeth now but give it time for the dust to settle and people will just say ' they are the best of a bad bunch' and get them back in again.

Anyone on a revoke ticket.

Live in a Tory rebel constituency, but won't vote for him as he supports Gove for PM.

PhilomenaButterfly · 07/04/2019 22:57

Green.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 07/04/2019 23:40

If a Remain candidate who knows that women exists stands, them. Not that it would make any difference because I live in one of Labour's safest seats even though it's pretty much universally acknowledged that the various MPs returned here over the last few decades have been atrocious. A real donkey with a red rosette would have been infinitely better. We need urgent change but we won't get it.

Mistigri · 08/04/2019 06:51

The Anything Has Got To Be Better Than This Party.

I preferred the "a bit less shit party" idea that some wag was talking about on twitter.

TatianaLarina · 08/04/2019 08:19

As an erstwhile Labour voter, I will not for Corbyn or Brexit. Would never vote Tory. So LD. Our MP is a Tory rebel who votes against the government, so it’s possible she may retain her seat in a 75% Remain borough. In some ways I’d rather have a Tory MP prepared to stand up for Remain than a Lexiter. Not to to the point that I’d consider voting Tory though.

I don’t believe that Labour’s Brexit is stance is fear of alienating their Leave voters. You can equally argue that of their Remain supporters - whom there seem to be more of. I think Corbyn and Milne actively favour Brexit and don’t give a fuck what the country wants. Milne is the equiv of JRM - rich, Winchester + Oxford educated, won’t be so financially affected by the fall out. It’s a shame has he used to be a good Guardian columnist.

Their normal voters might be gnashing their teeth now but give it time for the dust to settle and people will just say ' they are the best of a bad bunch' and get them back in again.

So true its all I hear from friends and colleagues 'best of a bad bunch' 'anything but Comrade Corbyn'.

Brexit seems like the big issue but it pales into insignificance compared to the horrors of the current Labour Party running ruining the country.

The80sweregreat · 08/04/2019 09:45

Labour with a new leader and a different manifesto ( centre left )!might give the tories a bigger headache.

UnPocoLoco2 · 28/04/2019 23:22

Not voting period. They are all a waste of space and as bad as each other.

bellinisurge · 29/04/2019 06:02

Red's Party sounds like the kind of thing I could vote for. Grin

frumpety · 29/04/2019 17:28

Are we talking about local/EU/GE elections ? Because I wouldn't necessarily vote the same way for all of them.

bellinisurge · 29/04/2019 17:32

I think I'll be voting differently in Local Elections and European elections. As for GE, not sure. In all cases it won't be Labour. Despise Corbyn and our local MO, while quite a good bloke has severely pissed me off on an important local issue.

bellinisurge · 29/04/2019 17:32

MO? MP Grin

hdh747 · 29/04/2019 17:41

I'm voting None and doing it like this.

Redlocks28 · 29/04/2019 17:43

In a GE, I’ll vote for whoever will support Remain. Locally, I’ll vote Labour.

saganorenscarandcoat · 29/04/2019 17:44

Spoiling my ballot

frumpety · 29/04/2019 18:16

What does spoiling your ballot achieve saga , ? that's a genuine question as I have never considered it before.

prettybird · 29/04/2019 21:55

The number of spoiled votes gets recorded and a high number of spoiled votes is indicative of dissatisfaction.

Dh used to spoil his vote with "None of the above" until we were doorstepped by Nicola in 1997 and she persuaded him to vote

Holidayshopping · 30/04/2019 15:22

I have never seen anything published anywhere about spoiled votes-I’m not sure that even if the press made a big show about them, anyone would care. X thousand people are dissatisfied? X x 100 couldn’t even be arsed to vote.

bellinisurge · 30/04/2019 15:26

I seem to recall high numbers of spoiled papers in the French Presidential elections such that is made the press here. The Macron vs Le Pen election. Voters disliked her but didn't feel they could hold their noses and vote for him.
