Everything about Brexit seems to have been done wrongly.

Setting red lines to rule out a compromise

The attempt to use executive power to trigger A50, that resulted in a court case

Triggering A50 before knowing what the UK wanted

Agreeing to the backstop before any Tory MP understood the GFA

Appointing a Brexit minister before checking he understood where Dover was.

May going on about NI and pissing off the DUP before they were just about to climb down.

Having a Meaningless Vote repeatedly with a gun to head.

Contempt of Parliament and just general fucking up.

Tonight, 3 days before we were due to leave the HoC finally sat down to decide what Brexit outcomes they thought would be a good idea - more than 2years after that should have happened.

And we now we are told the meaningful vote might be may even more meaningless by being wrapped up in the illusive Withdrawal Agreement Implimentation Bill.

Farce doesn't even cover it.

Anyway Indicative Vote results incoming in approx 15 mins.

The confirmatory second referendum, had Grin 48% for, 52% against!

TatianaLarina · 27/03/2019 23:03

So if I understand the situation, Theresa May doesn't have enough support to resign successfully

Derpess · 27/03/2019 23:03

It's been pointed out on twitter that if it goes to deadlock on X Factor it always goes back to the public vote. 😂😂😂

I really don’t think tonight was too bad.

I did not expect as many to vote for PV

I think Ind group, SNP and LD played it right.

I now believe we will get a PV.

Thank you, Random18. Initially dismaying that there was no majority for anything, but it's a process and hopefully something can be sorted out next week.

AutumnCrow · 27/03/2019 23:12

Stephen Kinnock reportedly abstained on PV.

RevokeRemainRebuild · 27/03/2019 23:15

Alan Duncan voted for No Deal???

ThereWillBeAdequateFood · 27/03/2019 23:19

My stupid bastard MP voted for no deal. He’s a dickhead that never writes back.

Angry
HazardGhost · 27/03/2019 23:23

Belated ta red

everythingisginandroses · 27/03/2019 23:26

Mine too, ThereWillBeAdequateFood. Total and utter tosser, I loathe him Angry

cherin · 27/03/2019 23:26

Mine did vote for revoke. Which is amazing but would put me in a difficult situation at GE because I can’t stand JC but can’t fault my labour MP...

LoonvanBoon · 27/03/2019 23:27

My MP showed his true colours tonight. Had no idea of his Brexit views as he keeps his head well below the parapet and has never defied the Tory whip.

Today he voted for the Barron no deal motion and against literally everything else. Had actually emailed him for the first time this morning asking him to vote for anything to prevent a no deal - clearly that had a huge effect! Grin

WhatWouldScoobyDoo · 27/03/2019 23:28

cherin Me too - also can’t stand JC. But my labour MP is ace, could not be better.

BigChocFrenzy · 27/03/2019 23:29

Queenofthorns MPs don't choose the actual wording - the Electoral Commission does that

However, MPs did state the basic choices for the 2016 ref - Leave or Remain
and they would have to state the choices of any new PV

BigChocFrenzy · 27/03/2019 23:33

îmo, the individual MP is important
We shouldn't just vote for / against rosettes* - that's how the country gets led by donkeys

(*unless we disagree with the guiding principles of the party, e.g. BNP or UKIP)

Pilcrow · 27/03/2019 23:36

My MP also voted for No Deal.

This does not surprise me one bit, as he is a Brexit fanatic who hates Europe with a passion. Fancies himself as a straight-talking salt-of-the-earth type. What's WRONG with these people, ffs? Why are they so vitriolic in their hatred?

SingingBabooshkaBadly · 27/03/2019 23:37

Pickle Jadziz Mine’s Charlie Elphicke Sad. He voted Remain but this constituency was 62% Leave so he gone full-on gung ho wiilodapeeps.

LouiseCollins28 · 27/03/2019 23:44

How your MP voted on the 8 options, from the Guardian

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/ng-interactive/2019/mar/27/how-did-your-mp-vote-in-the-indicative-votes

Yamayo · 27/03/2019 23:44

My MP voted Revoke! I feel all warm inside.

We are 64% Remain in the referendum so should be expected, but considering everyone's voting record there are no guarantees.

woodpigeons · 27/03/2019 23:44

According to the Guardian May’s emotional resignation speech convinced quite a few MPs to back her deal.
Wouldn’t it be funny if she did manage to get it through and then decided not to resign.
