Put it to the People March 23rd March

OhYouBadBadKitten · 16/02/2019 22:58

www.peoples-vote.uk/march

While it's cutting things rather fine, the next People's vote is on March 23rd. It's clear the politicians have no clue. They still can't agree on what brexit should look like. Time to take it back to the people.

To people who respond to tell me things like 'we won, get over it',
I'd like to thank you in advance for bumping the thread.

Take what back to the people?

The withdrawal agreement. Do we want it yes or no?

That is an impressive list of places putting on transport. I hope we get a good turnout.

There's going to be nowhere to put the people as London is going to be full of coaches Grin

I'm starting to struggle to keep up now and probably missing some out as they keep adding them onto random pages :-/ I feel like I'm in some crazy version of the Generation Game now remembering them all so definitely keep checking the page if you can't see your local area on here!

I do remember TV programmes about the Jarrow March in the 1930s, so why not the Great People's Vote March? Especially if we manage to get a million people.

I will be there! Went on the October march. I am a bit less convinced about the idea of a PV but am of the same view as other posters in that I want Westminster and the world to understand just how angry I feel.

Yes, we need to at least show the world and any future family that we may have that we didn't passively watch this happen.

For any Cornish remainers:

I've just had an email from Cornwall for Europe. The coaches are filling up fast, but they are also going to be arranging something local for people who can't make it to London. I will update when I hear what it is.

I am beyond excited because I can actually do something. DS is up for it too. He could manage something local. Grin

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/02/2019 18:22

I've emailed the campaigners for anyone who is worried about taking young children and received the following response from them

"All our demonstrations are family friendly. They are all defined by the positive and festive atmosphere that defines the majority of our supporters. On October 20, over 700,000 of us marched through London without a single police incident.

Having said this and to ensure you have an enjoyable day, we would encourage you to march with our accessible section. There will be a dedicated team of stewards who will be able to support anyone who requests it. A page about the accessible section is being prepared and will be online in the coming days. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions.

We look forward to welcoming you at the march. "

:) Hopefully that alleviates any concerns. Let me know if you want me to ask anything else once the accessibility comes up.
