Put it to the People March 23rd March

www.peoples-vote.uk/march

While it's cutting things rather fine, the next People's vote is on March 23rd. It's clear the politicians have no clue. They still can't agree on what brexit should look like. Time to take it back to the people.

To people who respond to tell me things like 'we won, get over it',
I'd like to thank you in advance for bumping the thread.

I think you will find that the Police will keep an eye on the Tommy Robinson types. I recall that during the October demo there was a side demo on part of the route with about 20 Brexit types surrounded by what looked like twice as many Police.

The last spring March we had was lovely, people took flowers, left them on the Cenotaph and gave them to the Police also, so there is no reason why we can't do the same again.

PortiaCastis · 28/02/2019 12:36

I'll be coming up from Cornwall on the night train as can get some sleep on that, pricey but well worth it as feel I need to do something
See you all there

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/02/2019 14:01

Lovely to see so many of us going :)

We will all be there - slightly nervous about bringing children so may have to review it nearer the time

Thanks for checking about bringing children kitten. The accessible route sounds like a good idea. I'm off to check the website to see if more info is up yet.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/02/2019 22:30

You're welcome :)
I'm checking regularly and I'll pop the link in here, if you see it before me, please can you do so.

Coach from Carmarthenshire: www.carmarthenshirelibdems.wales/put_it_to_the_people

We're going, bringing the kids... slightly nervous!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/03/2019 06:53

Well done Slurpy, you'll be grand :)
I'll add the coach in a bit.

lonelyplanetmum · 01/03/2019 07:04

It's actually quite uplifting to see lots of people who feel like you - it's a friendly crowd and it's not a marathon - we have dipped in and out to get a coffee for DH and an ice cream especially for youngest DD before.

durgha · 01/03/2019 22:54

On earlier marches, there was the idea of bringing pots and spoons as percussion to our vocals. I was too shy to bring then, but I'm happy to do it now. Anyone else?

SandAndSnow · 02/03/2019 08:16

Good idea durgha! We'll being DD's drum.

SandAndSnow · 02/03/2019 08:16

*bring

SandAndSnow · 02/03/2019 11:26

Where are people getting their flags/t-shirts etc from? (If you're getting them!)

I'd quite like to festoon the buggy in Eu flag bunting!

Peregrina · 02/03/2019 11:51

Sent off from various places on line - I don't remember which now, but google brings up loads.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/03/2019 14:20

I'll be bringing a placard, just need to get cracking on it! Thing is, with the way things are moving I don't want to commit to a theme yet.

OP posts:
Quietrebel · 02/03/2019 14:28

I don't think I'll be able to attend but if I were I'd focus on a theme around " We already have the best deal".

SandAndSnow · 02/03/2019 17:16

"Stop pissing about" would probably cover anything which is likely to happen over the next few weeks kitten. Wink

BlackeyedGruesome · 02/03/2019 18:23

I wonder if mentioning the £350 whatever for the NHS promise turns out to be medicine shortages?

Someone has paid for a billboard near the supermarket with some advertising saying something Brexity.

I wish the promises were true.

Just a blank placard will be sufficient as it reflects T May's plans for the UK's future.
