Brexit

Put it to the People March 23rd March

www.peoples-vote.uk/march

While it's cutting things rather fine, the next People's vote is on March 23rd. It's clear the politicians have no clue. They still can't agree on what brexit should look like. Time to take it back to the people.

To people who respond to tell me things like 'we won, get over it',
I'd like to thank you in advance for bumping the thread.

Maybe a collection of the broken bits of britain all heaped at the bottom of the placard, with a 'Listen to the People, don't break our heart.

OP posts:
LonelyandTiredandLow · 19/02/2019 08:32

Never was so much broken for so few

British people don't want to Brexit - we want our country back.

We marched against the Iraq War - History will remember this.

Britain - giving you food banks and the working poor in 2016, stockpiling and job losses through Brexit in 2019. The only Tory Plan.

Nope, can't do humour today.

wheresmymojo · 19/02/2019 10:20

Where did the red toothbrushes come from?

will purchase one as I've been on Westminsterenders for a while now (previously Umpteennamechanges)

Sostenueto · 19/02/2019 10:43

I would live to come to march but need a mobility scooter. Dd is trying to see if she can book a hired one for me. No way I can come without one.Sad

SusanWalker · 19/02/2019 10:45

Cornwall for Europe are putting on a coach. I wish I could go. If there was a regional march in Plymouth, Exeter or even Bristol I could manage it. But DS isn't at all well at the moment and I know he couldn't cope with the coach trip and the march itself. It would just be too much in one day.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/02/2019 14:14

I hope you can find one Sos.

I'm wondering if they don't do many concurrent local marches in order to make the London one as big as possible.

If anyone wants to go one step further then they are looking for volunteer marshall's. I'm considering it.

Has anyone got any recommendations for wearables? I'm looking at 'scarves' on Red Bubble. No red toothbrushes but some fabulous, huge EU flag adorned wraps. And an EU passport design.

Peregrina · 19/02/2019 16:13

Blue and yellow, predominantly....

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/02/2019 16:26

Maybe an EU umbrella?

OP posts:
GeistohneGrenzen · 19/02/2019 19:36

they're out of stock of the umbrellas at www.wordupdesign.eu/shop
but there's other stuff!!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/02/2019 19:40

I did try and stick yellow sticky-back plastic stars to a blue umbrella for one march. They wouldn't stick. I tried lots of ways,

OP posts:
OhYouBadBadKitten · 19/02/2019 19:42

quite like the bollocks to brexit beanies.

OP posts:
GeistohneGrenzen · 19/02/2019 19:51

well I've ordered a 5ft x 3ft EU flag which I shall drape tastefully over the back of the settee when expecting visitors... I feel very sad to realise that physically I couldn't cope with the march, but I have donated towards it and will be there in spirit - without boundaries Grin

Peregrina · 19/02/2019 21:08

Got a small flag already. Just ordered two Bollocks to Brexit badges and a mug.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/02/2019 10:03

and a mug Grin

Grenzen your support will still help.

I’m not sure if this link will work, but it’s a post on the ‘Glasgow Loves EU’ Facebook page, a few posts down with the yellow march poster as the image. Need to message the group to express interest.
