Put it to the People March 23rd March

www.peoples-vote.uk/march

While it's cutting things rather fine, the next People's vote is on March 23rd. It's clear the politicians have no clue. They still can't agree on what brexit should look like. Time to take it back to the people.

To people who respond to tell me things like 'we won, get over it',
I'd like to thank you in advance for bumping the thread.

"The blockage has been scheduled to take place on Saturday to coincide with a March To Leave protest in Westminster."

Not exactly hot on facts there. Hmm

Are they deliberately going to try and prevent people making it to the march??

I'm sure that anything like that will make us all the more determined to exercise our democratic right to peaceful protest.

I imagine that’s at least part of the intention. But as their headline blurb contains the sentence “bring the country to its knees” I think there’s a general wreck-and-burn everything sentiment underlying it too.

Silly sods.

If you can't get to the march, please email the Supreme Leader to let her know she does NOT speak for you in pushing for her/no deal: [email protected]

CardinalSin · 21/03/2019 13:39

Sorted out my diary - definitely going on the march now.

Colourpencils · 21/03/2019 13:41

So I have just had 5 parents and 8 children at school pick up ask to join me on the march! Yay!

Bunnyfuller · 21/03/2019 17:50

Sorry if this has already been covered. Thinking of going with my 2 teenage DD. What time would be good to join march from trafalgar sq? Don’t want to push my luck with full march!

Colourpencils · 21/03/2019 18:07

Lonelyplanetmum oh that's brilliant!! I really think this one will be bigger than Octobers .

Can I just mention, sorry if repeating, but we stood all the way from Park Lane before and you couldn't really get anything to eat down there, so glad I took sandwiches and a bottle of water. Also hours later all the restaurants had locked their loos - fortunately it's going to be quite cool on Sat so hopefully will be able to get away with not drinking too much and then needing a 'comfort break'!

Colourpencils · 21/03/2019 18:07

Bunnyfuller good idea to join further along. We didn't move for hours.

Front of the march leaves around 1pm, I'd be at Trafalgar square by 2pm I think, but it's a guess.

We're planning to come but with 2 DSs who are easily bored - can anyone advise on a good place to join and duck out of the march? Thanks. Never done anything like this before!

sweeter · 21/03/2019 23:20

Just want to triple check it will ok to go as a mum with a young child - don't want any trouble

SleepDeprivedCabbageBrain · 21/03/2019 23:25

@sweeter I'm still planning to take my baby and 4yo. It's the most important march of our lives I think.

I was going to follow the accessibility guidelines here unless anyone has other tips?

SleepDeprivedCabbageBrain · 21/03/2019 23:26

It would have been cool if they had a family guide too.

sweeter · 21/03/2019 23:29

Thanks sleepdeprived yep I am going to do it.

As long as I can escape if it gets too much.

SleepDeprivedCabbageBrain · 21/03/2019 23:32

I'd like to hope they wouldn't kettle a load of wheel chair users and buggy-wheelers.

SparklySneakers · 22/03/2019 07:45

I wish we could go.

Please pm me if you can add our names to a placard or banner!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/03/2019 07:56

It would be SleepDeprived.

So this time tomorrow many of us will already be on our way. Hooray!

(sorry Sparkly)
