Put it to the People March 23rd March

www.peoples-vote.uk/march

While it's cutting things rather fine, the next People's vote is on March 23rd. It's clear the politicians have no clue. They still can't agree on what brexit should look like. Time to take it back to the people.

To people who respond to tell me things like 'we won, get over it',
I'd like to thank you in advance for bumping the thread.

No doubt there will be lots of flags and banners - if you are marching please would you also consider wearing a yellow rose? This is to be a symbol of our support for the 3 million EU citizens living in the UK.

Flobochin · 20/03/2019 11:43

@BonnesVacances

Very amusing.

WomanDaresTo · 20/03/2019 12:11

Am London based and TERRIBLY excited to see you all.

There are people coming from all over the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, from Orkney and the Western Isles, from Sutherland, Rosshire, Moray. Many are leaving home already to make it to Inverness for the 12 hour coach journey overnight on Friday (and then 12 hours back!). You should be able to watch their journeys on twitter.com/hashtag/ScotsMarchingPITTP?src=hash

Littlespaces · 20/03/2019 13:00

I will wear a yellow rose.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/03/2019 13:03

Thanks for the twitter link Woman :)

I was on the first march last Oct but can't make it to this one, I'm very disappointed as I think it's going to be awesome in the truest sense of the word.

To those going, many many thanks & give 'em hell from me!

Peridot1 · 20/03/2019 14:01

I’ve read that a group calling themselves Brexit Direct Action are trying to organise blockades and go slows of motorways and major roads this weekend from Friday to Sunday. It does seem to have had too much publicity but came up on a local news FB page. Some Twitter posts too.

Really hope it doesn’t happen - it’s likely to cause mayhem generally but also will massively impact travel to the March.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/03/2019 14:24

While it's impossible to say for sure, if it's anything like the Farage March it will be hardly noticeable. It looks very disorganised too.

bellinisurge · 20/03/2019 14:26

If anyone tries to demonstrate without seeking approval they commit a public order offence and take the consequences.

Peridot1 · 20/03/2019 15:11

Doesn’t seem to have much publicity my post should have read!

OYBBK - lets hope so.

Bellini - yes but idiots don’t tend to care too much and even causing delays will have a knock on effect. They definitely wouldn’t get approval I wouldn’t imagine and I would suspect that any attempts to try anything would be shut down quite quickly.

Kittywampus · 20/03/2019 17:14

Oh no, I was hoping to come to the march but have just seen that the train is cancelled and has been replaced with rail replacement buses, which I don't fancy with an overtired child in tow. And also I have been offered a job interview next week and Saturday would be the only day I have to prepare. I really wanted to come but I don't think it is going to happen Sad

CruCru · 20/03/2019 21:04

Problem is, the petition is due to run until 20 August.

sweeter · 20/03/2019 21:11

Hi quick question -

I am in zone 2 London - is it likely to be ok to go by myself and a young child (under 5)?

I just would like to know what people think who marched last time?

Thank you Smile

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/03/2019 21:19

I wouldn't have any concerns about that Sweeter. I've only ever found friendly people at these marches.
