I'm guessing surfer won't start another thread as the questions were getting a bit difficult on the last one. 😂

Thought this was worthy of discussion though

So it turns out those pesky EU immigrants actually contribute more than the average UK citizen.

Who knew 🤔

I've missed a lot of the thread

Bold fail again

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2018 22:03

*Just like Leave wouldnt win the first time! You have failed to answer my question though. Would you stop whinging?8

Yeah i would 'cause i 'd move abroad only this time stay there, the screw up is if property falls in value, the plunge in sterling is another issue too, i'd have less money.

But the idea of staying in a backward introverted country would make it an easy decision, paying taxes to support morons who would vote twice to shoot themselves isn't an appealing prospect.

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 22:09

jasjas1973 Well I know a few first time buyers who will be biting your hand off if you are selling. If that's how you feel, bon voyage.

Moussemoose · 27/09/2018 22:11

I thought the demographics meant that if everyone followed the same voting patterns remain would win.

Voters at the older end of the spectrum have died and they were more likely to vote leave. Voters at the younger end entering the electorate were more likely to vote remain.

No one needs to change sides for remain to win.

And no I don't think we should have more referendums but we need one to resolve this referendum based crisis.

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 22:13

Well I think political predictions have been proved as worthwhile as a chocolate tea pot based on the last outcome so excuse me if I don't faint with anticipation of a landslide remain vote Hmm

Fawful · 27/09/2018 22:16

🤦🏻‍♀️

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 22:25

And why has no one given a proper answer to my "will you stop complaining" question? I would be happy to have another vote if it get you lot to stop bleating on and on endlessless. And no backsies (I'm looking at you bellini&co.)

1tisILeClerc · 27/09/2018 22:30

Apart from you leavers having stolen my money I am not moaning.
You don't seem to have appreciated that you have actually 'lost' big time but hey, fabulous new blue passports made in the EU.

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2018 22:34

knickers The UK can ill afford to lose higher rate tax and higher skilled workers, it was a big problem for the UK in the 70s and 80s, we ve already super high rates of emigration.

Though by the time the morons have finished screwing the country, everyone will be on 40%..well done!

Hopefully, we 'll have the sense to remain.

Moussemoose · 27/09/2018 22:35

It's not a political prediction its demographics. And I certainly wasn't suggesting a landslide just a slight shift in the majority.

I have answered the "will I stop complaining"point twice.

I don't think there should be a third referendum no matter what the outcome although I think it is vital people continue to complain. Complaint and opposition is vital to democracy. If remain won then leavers would need to keep on reminding politicians of the problems with the EU so they would work to resolve them.

If leave won then we will all have a lot to complain about.

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 22:36

1tisILeClerc Who has stolen your money? Is this what this bitterness is about? I didn't think we had left yet so how has your money been stolen by brexit?

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2018 22:37

...i told you already i would stop "moaning" if the result of a 2nd vote was to leave, the fight to save this country would have gone.

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 22:38

jasjas1973 I thought all the rich people were tory scum who voted for brexit in the first place? Why would they be leaving? You can't have it both ways.

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 22:42

Moussemoose the fact remains the same. These predictions are worthless. There is clearly a very quiet majority who keep their views to themselves and make their feelings known on voting day. Also the predictions about the elderly dying off and making way for the hip young europhiles does not answer why young people don't vote in large numbers, historically and recently.

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2018 22:42

Can you point me to the post in which i said that? you are imagining things now?
The majority of wealthy people voted to remain, the majority of poorer people voted to leave, there are exceptions of course.

1tisILeClerc · 27/09/2018 22:46

Money that is currently in the UK belonging to my family has been devalued by around 3% or more. 1.5% because Mrs May had a rant after the meeting in Salzburg.
Not particularly bitter. Bit pissed off that Leavers still can't find the sunny uplands or unicorns.

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 23:00

jasjas1973 I have no idea if you said that or not. It's quite a popular remainer line to trot out though.

1tisILeClerc I have no words. Really.

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2018 23:08

I ve never heard any remainer saying tories are scum or the rich voted for this mess, sure the individual leave campaigners like BJ, Gove are wealthy and Tory but not joe public, takes all sorts, brexit divides all political parties.

Its pretty obvious that if the UK goes through a period of upheaval, those that can may well choose to leave e.g Aussie, NZ Canada & USA will as said, only take the brightest and best, these are the very people we need the most.

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 23:08

1tisILeClerc Quick question, how does your families cash sitting on the money market equate to leavers having stolen my money? Presumably you will be sending hand written thank you notes to each of us if it rises again?

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 23:13

jasjas1973 but I thought the woe betide youth would have no opportunities to travel or work abroad in the event of Brexit?

jasjas1973 · 27/09/2018 23:24

@Thevicarsknickers ....not really adding much now are you?

Thevicarsknickers · 27/09/2018 23:26

jasjas1973 I think offering a rebuttal to your claptrap if fairly worthy.

jasjas1973 · 28/09/2018 00:00

Again since when did i say no one will be able to work abroad in NZ, Auss, Canada & USA (amongst the most common destinations for professionals seeking to emigrate) after Brexit?

You are just making stuff up now.

Try to be more constructive Wink

10degreestostarboard · 28/09/2018 06:47

Vicars

You are wasting your time: they don’t like their blinkered views challenged

frumpety · 28/09/2018 06:49

If leave won another referendum would I stop whinging? Define whinging ? if pointing out the downsides to leaving is whinging, then no is the short and polite answer.

I personally believe we ( as in the UK as a whole) are currently better remaining in the EU than leaving. Nothing over the last two and a bit years has changed that belief.
