Of course not all medications are suitable for stockpiling. They only have a shelf life of weeks - or even days. Thats before you consider any special environmental considerations.

Meanwhile, the cunty scum that are drawn by the blood of the vulnerable are already setting up fake websites to scam people scared, frightened, and feeling abandoned into spending money on "genuine" medication.

I wonder how much money 'A Brexit Cull' would save the NHS in the long term?

And whether indeed certain circles actually support this in reality.

The medication issue is critical imo and if effectively communicated could help turn the tide.

200 to be stockpiled.

I wonder how many different types of medication the NHS uses?

I'm hoping my ex's anti-psychotic is on there or he will be in serious trouble. I'm hoping my antidepressants are too, mainly for the sake of my kids...

I would be amazed if some government department somewhere hadn't been tasked with the job. Cardboard coffins anyone ?

And you know there are elected MPs who would privately support a very British Action T4. Even if we had to import the vans.

www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/aug/23/madness-northern-ireland-firms-on-ask-dublin-brexit-advice?CMP=share_btn_tw

Almost all of the 85,000 businesses in Northern Ireland have an element of import or export trade across the border.

The government’s instruction to Northern Ireland businesses to “ask Dublin” what they should do in the event of no deal on Brexit has been described as “madness” by manufacturers in the region.

Hilary Benn, the Labour MP and chair of the Brexit select committee, described the guidance as an “abdication of responsibility”.

In what is being seen as a deliberate attempt to put pressure on Ireland’s prime minister, Leo Varadkar, the UK government has recommended that businesses trading across the border “should consider whether you will need advice from the Irish government about preparations you need to make”.

colouringinpro Flowers dont know your wider circumstances or if you have already but contact your MP and let them know your very reasonable concerns. They need to know this is not the will of the people.
Really hope everything works out okay for you and your family.

Hazardswan · 23/08/2018 16:28

Hope Leo sticks his two fingers up to us, doesn't do a jot of work and embarrasses us. This is our mess we should sort it.

colouringinpro · 23/08/2018 16:28

Thanks Hazard, I will be writing for her but despite her constituency voting Remain, she us a staunch brexiteer Angry

Hazardswan · 23/08/2018 16:29

colouring What a bellend she is! Bravo to you if you can contact her without kicking off Wine

DGRossetti · 23/08/2018 16:29

I would hope that posters here have been regularly harassing contacting their MPs since the GE ...

Apparently now the UK government has deigned to issue these notices, the legal bods at my last employer have started due diligence. Seems quite a few people have been woken up today Hmm.

DGRossetti · 23/08/2018 16:34

Hope Leo sticks his two fingers up to us, doesn't do a jot of work and embarrasses us.

Not sure what he could do, really ? And not sure he needs to do much anyway. It's a given that the EU - on a point of principle - will do it's utmost to mitigate the effects of a no-deal on Ireland. So that'll be 26 countries and the better part of half a billion people. Quite a safety net to have.

If there is to be a no deal (and it's hard to avoid the feeling it's a dead duck now) then hopefully Ireland can emerge as unscated as possible thanks to it's EU membership while the UK continues to lose friends and embarrass itself.

The thing is, if no-deal is dead, along with the Chequers breakfast .... what next ?

colouringinpro · 23/08/2018 16:36

Thst is my challenge Hazard Grin

Hazardswan · 23/08/2018 16:42

What next?

A revolution! Grin

What annoys me most is if the EU was this horribly controlling entity that ruled us why is it allowing us to do this? The simple fact we can self destruct in this slow, disorganised and painful manner is proof of our freedom.

I'm off to write my third email to my MP who has yet to respond to my second rude

DGRossetti · 23/08/2018 16:43

Prof Brian Cox weighs in ...

Hazardswan · 23/08/2018 16:45

colouring your not alone with it. Mine was a remainer yet he's so lacklustre it's difficult not to scream in his face He's all business talk but hasn't considered health and social care.

Hazardswan · 23/08/2018 17:04

Anyone have any pointers for mp writing?

I'm cracking on with it but I either sound like I'm lecturing a child or I'm passive aggressive and suppressing the desire to punch him in the face Grin

Also what am I asking him to do other than "stop this madness you idiot" or how do I phrase that nicely?

Onegative · 23/08/2018 17:04

Anyone elses employer started to look at downsizing to be able to absorb the costs of this ?

Chancellor letter to Chair of Treasury Committee on ‘no deal’ Brexit economic analysis

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/chancellor-letter-to-chair-of-treasury-committee-on-no-deal-brexit-economic-analysis

forecasts compiled in January were that GDP would be 7.7% lower over the next 15 years
and borrowing would be £80b higher.

but ... this analysis has now undergone some 'refinement' and as a consequence, 'for scenarios in which we have higher barriers to trade with the EU, there will be a more damaging effect on the economy and public finances'.

So, Treasury now thinks no deal probably worse than that
