Did you ask her to explain why?

I'm afraid I didn't. When someone says something so appalling it's pretty hard to marshal your thoughts into anything like a coherent response.

Besides - what could she possibly say that could defend that position? She could only have made me hate her more.
It was the 24th June 2916. I was a woman on the edge. She's lucky I didn't hurl a chair at her.

Icantreachthepretzels · 28/06/2018 23:30

2016
I wasn't 900 years in the future Blush

CardinalSin · 28/06/2018 23:36

Oh dear, Brexit Time is still as bad as ever. Mr Gammon was the quintessence of the pig-ignorant Quitling.

lonelyplanetmum · 28/06/2018 23:37

Also huge respect to MrsRRR for the Foodbank. On the accommodation point, hopefully the church can help but if not ... perhaps worth the mention to the local press as discussed previously.

MrsRRR · 28/06/2018 23:44

It's gonna be an uphill struggle tbh

BUT

They have pissed me off. So gloves off.

In my weaker moments, I pity them 😡😂

Lico · 28/06/2018 23:56

This is really getting bad. Why are these people still around? Duncan Smith compares the CBI to Nazis!!

In these worrying times here's the absurd news story to start the day..

Defence Sec Gavin Williamson has a pet tarantula Cronus which, as I understand it, was kept on his desk. Anyway a senior woman at the MoD apparently complained to HR about having meetings with the spider there. Williamson allegedly replied: “I’m the Secretary of State and Cronus stays.”

According to this article the PM herself had time to intervene and said Cronus had to go home.

lonelyplanetmum · 29/06/2018 06:36

The spider is old news apparently.According to other reports May insisted it was removed last Christmas.

This news is more current...

Apparently the cost to replace Galileo will be around £100 million. So that needs adding is to the Breakshit cost. Very irritatingly, the Times' spin is

"Britain is serious in its threat to walk away from Galileo if there is no agreement. "

Ha ha ha- our 'threat', as we are Oz the great and powerful.

Rather contradictory with the accompanying comment that the mean EU insist that the UK will have only limited access to Galileo after Brexit.

Why not just report it accurately that once you relinquish membership, you are no longer a participant in many projects.

OhLookHeKickedTheBall · 29/06/2018 06:40

lonely Not that I often ever talk about Nadine Dorries in a positive way but apparently one time she was called to meet with Williamson and he tried his usual intimidation trick with Cronus out on the desk. She looked at in and said I ate worse than that in the jungle Grin

mrsr KOKO you're doing a wonderful thing

frumpety · 29/06/2018 07:01

Sorry to hear the Parish council were unwilling to support your request for two hours a week usage of the 'community' hub MrsRRR. Does the Parish council own the property ? Do you know who your local borough councillor is ? were they at the meeting ? Parish councils don't tend to have large amounts of money so where is the funding coming from for the community hub ? Sorry for the derail Smile

Dell Cameron @ dellcam
NEW: The Capital Gazette shooter, Jarrod Ramos, was the subject of a Capital article in which he's described threatening and harassing a woman on Facebook.

According to the article, he had pleaded guilty in 2011 to a misdemeanor harassment charge.

Kim Bellware @ bellwak
Gutted about the shooting at the Capital Gazette, but am reminded in 2018, not everyone will be universally horrified that journalists are hurt or killed

Note: Milo Yiannopoulos just 2 days ago: “I can’t wait for the vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight”

I don't know if this story will get much coverage in the UK.

It's HUGE.

It's about violence about women and their status in society, and the culture war for liberty and democracy in America right now.

Blink and you might miss this story. Or not understand it's significance.

When journalists start getting killed, it's BAD. Seriously bad.

This does not bode well for all our futures.

Milo Yiannopoulos said this to the New York Observer this week, just before what happened in Maryland:

“I can’t wait for the vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight,”

and this earlier.

^you can get quite hung up on this child abuse thing”.
.... sex between “younger boys” and older men could be a “coming-of-age relationship … in which those older men help those younger boys discover who they are^

He is now a ukip employee, and neither he nor that organisation are proscribed.

And why is this country in thrall to these specimens(ukip/tories)?.

Looking at BBC news this morning. An interesting 'spin' by Mrs may that the EU are endangering people in the UK.
No you daft bat, the UK will be a third country and you CANNOT have free access to all the EU security information, you are OUT of the EU, the same as Japan and the Philippines. OUT means OUT, sort your own security. Since there were reports of the UK 'acquiring' security data from SIS then 'leaking' it to the USA there is even more reason for the EU not to hand you more info.
I am very relieved that talks overnight have at least got a rough approval to start to sort out the immigration issues. A few years late but better than never.

woman11017 · 29/06/2018 07:54

@adampayne26
Exclusive: The EU will reject any UK proposal to stay in the single market for goods, a source close to Michel Barnier told me. With just 6 weeks of Cabinet negotiating left, the Brexit proposal May has reportedly been considering is dead prior to arrival.

Who's surprised.

Cherrypi · 29/06/2018 07:58

Is there sleepover weekend to discuss when to walkout of talks?

woman11017 · 29/06/2018 07:58

An interesting 'spin' by Mrs may that the EU are endangering people in the UK
Repeat the lie until it becomes a truth.

54321go · 29/06/2018 07:58

A van was crashed into a newspaper office and set alight in Holland a couple of days ago too.

54321go · 29/06/2018 08:04

@woman, exactly.
Maybe the 'sleepover' might be like an Agatha Christie novel, half of the mugs of bedtime cocoa have cyanide in them?

MrsRRR · 29/06/2018 08:10

Meh I'm over it

We we get premises - just not sure where yet!

lonelyplanetmum · 29/06/2018 08:12

Well it's ok to encourage targeting journalists when we live in a world where millions of people elect a grabbing POTUS. One who regularly talks about his status enabling him to grab women's pussy, and advising about grabbing others "by the neck" and "throwing" them into "the paddy wagon."

When that person is at the top of the tree, pretty much anything else goes.

woman11017 · 29/06/2018 08:23

Jarrod Ramos, was the subject of a Capital article in which he's described threatening and harassing a woman on Facebook.

Yup.

When the Ukip People's Security Services of the FLA/ EDL/BF/ UDA are patrolling our towns this time next year, and we are counting out the remaining tins of baked beans, here's a picture of what did pass through Dover, on 29.6. 2018.

This looks promising. Irish state broadcaster RTE and Brussels correspondent Tony Connolly have just launched a new weekly podcast called Brexit Republic.

Each week Brexit Republic will assess the unfolding developments, explain the complexities, and explore where and how Brexit will have an impact.

Looking at that picture Woman - if those 8,564 lorries take one extra minute each to process post Brexit, it will take 6 days to process them Shock

frumpety · 29/06/2018 09:28

Pretty 6 days !

woman11017 · 29/06/2018 09:37

I know prettybird! It's from this fellow's twitter feed.

@donnyc1975
8564 vehicles in 24 hours = 357 vehicles/hour currently. If in the brave new Brexiters world each vehicle takes 20 minutes to process, then for 8564 vehicles to be processed in a day would require 119 customs checking lanes.
