Where have all the Brexiters gone?

Just that really. 52% voted to leave. I know Mumsnet isn't completely representative of the electorate but you would expect at least a few people to be banging the Brexit drum. The ones that were quite vocal seem to have lost their voice. Perhaps they're just bored with the whole thing but their silence really is deafening.

*hasn't given us peace in Europe.

SleightOfMind · 11/10/2017 12:50

We have a veto.

RhiannonOHara · 11/10/2017 12:51

Good to hear a remainer admit that there was and is no need for a political union to be able to trade with out European cousins.

The real question, which you seem to be dodging, is not whether there is a need but what happens if and when trade terms change.

M4Dad · 11/10/2017 12:51

Elites like Boris Johnson, who will be fine whatever the outcome? James Dyson, fabulously wealthy, who benefits from cheaper manufacturing by having his products made in the Far East? Paul Dacre? Nigel Farage, public-school product and ex-stockbroker

Not those elites, the real Elites.

RhiannonOHara · 11/10/2017 12:51

Not those elites, the real Elites.

Who are they?

M4Dad · 11/10/2017 12:52

I haven't dodged anything. I asked Cardinal Sin a specific question about whether a political union was needed. She answered no. You've just added a question into that debate.

SleightOfMind · 11/10/2017 12:54

Oops sorry, wrong thread!

RhiannonOHara · 11/10/2017 12:54

M4Dad, you're either being very disingenuous or genuinely not comprehending the conversation.

M4Dad · 11/10/2017 12:54

Who are they?

People like George Soros. The people that managed to get Macron into power despite them never having held any real kind of office before.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 11/10/2017 12:55

*The one thing I love about Brexit is that we've given the Elites a punch on the nose and I love that.

FFS.
Honestly words fail me and I'm quite literate.

M4Dad · 11/10/2017 12:55

Rubbish. Scroll back to where I asked Cardinal if I could ask her a question.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 11/10/2017 12:56

Oh let me guess you are some sort of illuminati freak.

M4Dad · 11/10/2017 12:57

Oh let me guess you are some sort of illuminati freak

No. I consider George Soros to be an elite, not Boris fucking Johnson.

themueslicamel · 11/10/2017 12:58

It’s getting goady now.......

MsHooliesCardigan · 11/10/2017 13:00

I'm with you M4Dad. I mean that Jacob Rees Mogg is just an ordinary bloke right?
And that Public school that Nige 'geezer' Farage went to only costs around £40,000 a year. How could anyone possibly think they are part of the elite?

Melassa · 11/10/2017 13:00

Oh ok, it's just the forrin elites that are personae non grata and needed the punch on the nose, the homegrown ones are just lovely, obviously.

You have your knickers in a twist about France again M4 Bot Dad. Are you Marine Le Pen?

M4Dad · 11/10/2017 13:01

I'm going out for lunch now, I wanted to let you know before I get accused of not answering any questions or believing in the chuffing illuminati.

M4Dad · 11/10/2017 13:01

Oh ok, it's just the forrin elites that are personae non grata

Jesus. You have obviously no idea who George Soros is.

RhiannonOHara · 11/10/2017 13:02

I have, M4Dad. If you scroll back a bit, Cardinal says However, if we don't agree those things, it's will be far more costly and time consuming, and those European countries will find cheaper and quicker alternatives.
There are also no agreements about services outside of the Single Market (even inside there are no proper ones, but they are fully allowed pending final agreements), and guess what our major exports are?

I'd be very interested in your thoughts on this.

Melassa · 11/10/2017 13:03

Yes I do, he's a Hungarian born US citizen

Yes I do, he's a Hungarian born US citizen - with the ability to bring down entire currencies. Ask Thailand.

Of course Boris isn't part of an elite. I mean just look at this average bunch of teenage lads.

They could all be covered in a TRADE Union. No need for a political one.

You are aware that this is what the EU originally started out as, yes?
