Are there are some very sore losers after the EU Ref result?

Should we now challenge parliamentary elections too if we don't like the result on the basis that some people are too lower class/poor/stupid to make a proper first time vote?

Or could that be a tad arrogant and patronising to the the section of the electorate that cast their vote and won, 'ignorant numpties' or not?

Yes. I'm quite happy without testicles thanks, real or metaphorical.

originalmavis · 27/06/2016 15:51

I have a pair of boobs.

MotherOfBleach · 27/06/2016 15:53

I'll be happy to "grow a pair", Hell, I'll grow three pairs, if someone can just explain to me what, precisely, this long term gain I can look forward to is?

And if anyone mentions wonky bananas, I'll stick one up your arse.

Myusernameismyusername · 27/06/2016 15:53

Please post more meme's too. Using someone else's words instead of your own isn't annoying.
If I see that Winnie the Pooh one again I will go burn some teddies

JudyCoolibar · 27/06/2016 15:58

Gah, yes, what on earth is the point of the Winnie the Pooh one? Let's all be friends again and pretend nothing's happened?

Myusernameismyusername · 27/06/2016 15:59

Yes! Let's all be friends but once I have told your that you are an over emotional anti British idiot

MrsJorahMormont · 27/06/2016 16:05

I think anyone describing Remainers as sore lovers is fuck stupid. Too stupid to even comprehend what they have done.

I don't even know why I am bothering to write this. I just know that I wake up every morning feeling vaguely anxious, knowing that everything has changed for the worse. Everything. If you can't see that then you should never have been given a vote.

MitzyLeFrouf · 27/06/2016 16:07

'sore lovers'

Grin

Some loving would bring some blessed comfort at this grim time!

Highlandfling80 · 27/06/2016 16:09

Cornwall too mother*

Myusernameismyusername · 27/06/2016 16:10

I wake up anxious too. I have stopped looking at the news or Facebook too as I find it very stressful and just not sure what to expect. I don't see how that's 'exciting' in any way shape or form

Oysterbabe · 27/06/2016 16:39

I've been thinking it over a lot and I've only just put my finger on why losing hurts so much.

I know that all leave voters aren't racist. But all racists are leave voters. It's impossible to see the likes of Farage, Griffin, EDL and Britain First celebrating a win without feeling sick. A leave result is a huge jump towards the far right, the bad guys have won. Just because a lot of good guys have won too it's doesn't take away the sadness and the feeling that I just don't know my own country anymore.

I suspect that if immigration wasn't part of the debate, it was all just about EU law and spending etc, I'd still feel sad about losing but it would be easier to take.

BertrandRussell · 27/06/2016 16:40

What specific long term gain am I looking forward to?

MotherOfBleach · 27/06/2016 16:46

I keep asking that Bertrand, I've been asking for weeks.

When I ask online I am ignored.

When I ask people in RL they tell me the EU stops us buying wonky bananas and eggs in packs of 5.

Apparently I should pleased about swapping my employment rights for wonky bananas and an odd number off eggs Hmm and wonky fruit is well worth another recession.

ThanksForAllTheFish · 27/06/2016 16:47

List of sore losers:

  • The pound
  • The euro
  • British banks including Barclays and RBS (73% of the latter being owned by the UK government)
  • The global stock market

But hey, at least you got your country back.

tabulahrasa · 27/06/2016 16:52

...

Are there are some very sore losers after the EU Ref result?
BertrandRussell · 27/06/2016 16:56

Yeah, me too, MofB. But I get told about "getting control back" and
"sovreignity" and "red tape" which I suspect means employment rights. Oh, and sometimes stuff about the European Court of Human Rights, which is, obviously, a different thing.

Janecc · 27/06/2016 16:58

What long term gain? Getting BOZO the clown as PM. And then getting royally shafted.

The only gain and saving grace is that my DH is French. We are in the uk. Our Plan is to get dual nationality. But that's just us. I'm really sorry for the rest of you and your families. Sad

allegretto · 27/06/2016 16:59

Tabulahrasa Grin

Even more than being told I am a sore loser I object to being told that we should keep calm and carry on, remember that our grandparents had it worse in the Blitz etc Well our grandparents hadn't just voted for the Blitz had they! Angry

JudyCoolibar · 27/06/2016 17:07

Ooh, tabulah, is there a link to that? I really want to post it to FB in response to all the idiots who inflicted the original meme on me.

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 27/06/2016 17:07

Exactly allegretto and the other side who did vote for it, well they spent a generation regretting it didn't they...

tabulahrasa · 27/06/2016 17:13

"Ooh, tabulah, is there a link to that? I really want to post it to FB in response to all the idiots who inflicted the original meme on me."

That's where I stole it from...I just saved it and posted it, if you click on it you should be able to, I think?

IAmTheWhoreOfBabylon · 27/06/2016 20:10

I'm so impressed with the leavers putting you faith in ??
Who. It appears there is nobody capable of handling such a mess
But who cares you won and that is the most important thing
Relish in your win

Myusernameismyusername · 27/06/2016 20:44

Yes. Politicians are climbing all over one another to take on the challenge aren't they

Ineedmorelemonpledge · 27/06/2016 20:59

www.theguardian.com/business/2016/jun/27/property-and-financial-shares-slide-as-referendum-fallout-hits-stock-markets

So we've just lost our triple A credit rating.

ThanksForAllTheFish · 27/06/2016 21:03

I posted about that on another thread ineedmorelemonpledge but it appears everyone is choosing to ignore it.
