Yes I watch the news. That's why I voted remain.

SpringingIntoAction · 24/06/2016 10:40

surfer Mark Urban from Brussels had said milling around the word is the other 27 member states want to trigger article 50 straight away.

If they do then they will be breaking the terms of the Lisbon Treaty - but we are used to the EU changing the rules at will. That's why there is so much instability in the EU - you cannot trust them to stick to the agreed legal framework.

We don't get to decide this stuff anymore, we voted OUT

We are still in the EU. We, not the EU, has the right to trigger Article 50. It is OUR decision if and when to trigger it.

There may not be time for dust, markets, political parties or anything else to settle.

The markets are settling already.
Look - you need to wake up and realise that all the scary Project Fear stuff was just scare tactics. watch the Remain Tories back-pedal as fast as they can. Hammond has already admitted that NATO, not the EU provides our defence. They are liars. can

BertrandRussell · 24/06/2016 10:43

Voting "leave" doesn't make you racist or thick.

But refusing to explain why you think that it's a good thing, or that it means we've "taken back control" does start to point a bit towards the second..........

ICanCountToOneHundred · 24/06/2016 10:45

No wonder the elite have been told to go fk themselves. but they haven't they have been told, do what you like from now on with no restrictions at all in place.

smallfox1980 · 24/06/2016 10:47

Fitch and Moody's have indicated downgrades are to come on UK debt.

Stock market has lost 300 points, but it did raise yesterday so sounds worse than it is.

Interestingly some firms celebrating, but calling for more deregulation.

Surferjet · 24/06/2016 10:56

No I'm not thick, I just don't waste my time talking to people who claim to be sensible, nice, intelligent, & accepting, yet at the same time write off 52% of voters as thick idiots.

Well, I'm not sure about ordinary people. That JCB guy will be feeling he got his vengeance wrt his fine for price fixing. "Ordinary people will not get such good bargains as they might have done and JCB guy stays richer.

Dyson probably happy too. Although no ordinary British person working in the manufacture of his products. Happily, he does give employment in Malaysia 'cos they provide cheap labour.

squoosh · 24/06/2016 11:05

I'm an ordinary person. I feel anything but victorious. I feel angry.

GoudyStout · 24/06/2016 11:06

37.3% of the UK electorate voted for leave the EU.

Hardly an overwhelming example of democracy.

IrianOfW · 24/06/2016 11:06

surfer - the only arguments you have posted her are about how horrible the remain campaign were. But that isn't important right now. What is important is that we be right royally fucked. Was it really worth it to get one over ?

rogueantimatter · 24/06/2016 11:18

I've heard of being a good loser - try to be a good winner please OP. There's no need to rub this decision in the faces of all those people who weren't 'decent' or 'ordinary'.

And to be pedantic- the opposite of decent is indecent. I didn't see anyone voting to remain behaving or looking indecent.

How insulting of NF to imply that remain voters are neither ordinary nor decent.

rogueantimatter · 24/06/2016 11:20

The total number of the electorate who voted is approximately half the population of UK.

rogueantimatter · 24/06/2016 11:21

NF is very rich - he's not 'ordinary'. As for BJ....

squoosh · 24/06/2016 11:23

The numpties that think Nigel is 'one of them' are such an embarrassment.

A Victory for Cretins

Hodooooooooor · 24/06/2016 11:27

Look at the breakdown of ages: 75% of young voters voted to remain.

You just sold their future to fucking Farage and Boris. They've already admitted that their main campain promises were outright lies.
£350 million a week that goes to EU will now go to the NHS, they said. Except now they already admit that its nowhere near 350 mill and it won't be going to the NHS.

Well fucking done. Positive everything will be fine....how can you tell with your head buried so far in the sand?

We've turned our currency into the Zimbabwe dollar

That deserves some kind of award for services to hyperbole.

Snog · 24/06/2016 11:35

The £ always weakens in times of uncertainty so this was inevitable with the out vote. As we settle down and plan our exit the pound will recover. No need to panic.

I am pleased that the government has listened to the people for once and hope that this will result in better engagement in politics for the masses who will now see that their vote can make a real difference.

Hodooooooooor · 24/06/2016 11:39

It was a very narrow margin, and this is utter bullshit. Make what difference? Nothing will change for most people, and then they will eventually be worse off. The stupid were listened to, but unfortunately the 48% of the population who hadn't been swayed by the Leave Lies were NOT listenened to.
This is no victory, its a dark day.

This

Costacoffeeplease · 24/06/2016 11:40

I'm positive everything will be fine

Phew, thank fuck for that, panic over everyone - everything will be fine Confused

Costacoffeeplease · 24/06/2016 11:41

The pound may recover - it's not certain it will

HopeClearwater · 24/06/2016 11:55

I think the queen will put her foot down and not let it go through. It's disastrous and she's worked so hard she won't let the country go to shit.

Oh dear. Did you fall off your unicorn and bang your head?

SonicSpotlight · 24/06/2016 11:58

'Oh dear. Did you fall off your unicorn and bang your head?'

Grin That's the first time I've smiled today.

My DH is pretty ordinary and he's going to be out of work.
