Just thought to start an active thread to support one another on the 11+ journey. Some results are out this week. How are you feeling? Any plans on how to communicate outcomes with DC?

Thanks for starting this thread @pembatheart ..I've been wondering when ISEB results are expected. Never posted before so hoping I'm in the right place! DS has also applied to Habs, WUS, St Paul's and MTs. Not super confident so appreciate this forum for support.

vjceqgub · 10/12/2024 23:42

We applied for City and Westminster. We've got invited to the interview of City, and are waiting for Westminster. Good luck!

LalAnaar · 11/12/2024 06:33

@vjceqgub congratulations! And yes good luck!

SamPoodle123 · 11/12/2024 09:19

We are waiting to hear back from St Paul's. I suspect emails will come out today, as it conflicts with interview at another school.

It is nerver wracking, as with ISEB or any adaptive test, it is difficult do know how they did.

How did yours do with adaptive prep? Did you use Atom? It was always up and down for us, so makes me nervous!

But I guess, with any test you can never know. ds did not sound too confident on one of his exams, but we found out he made it to interview. Same thing happened a couple years ago with dd...she thought she did terrible on the first exam, but did well.

LalAnaar · 11/12/2024 17:29

We have heard back from St Paul's and ds has been invited back for second stage! Fingers crossed for everyone.

Congratulations!

LJham · 11/12/2024 18:30

Congratulations both! My son is through to the next stage of St.Pauls too 😀
Do you think we’ll get Westminster’s results before Friday?

vjceqgub · 11/12/2024 22:05

@LJham Congratulations. Re Westminster, I guess telling us by Friday is very predictable because nobody wants to work over weekends!

LJham · 12/12/2024 10:20

Very true!

BarqsHasBite · 12/12/2024 11:55

Slight derail but may I ask if any of these schools is having some sort of assessment day on 7 January? Our DS is sitting the St Albans School exam on that date and they are offering an alternative date of 9 January because it apparently clashes with an assessment at another vaguely local school. I just can’t work out which one it is! MT and Habs were the most obvious but I don’t think it’s either of those. Thanks

LetItGo99 · 12/12/2024 12:32

@BarqsHasBite yes, it's the St Paul's assessment day.

WiseGreenBee · 12/12/2024 21:49

We’ve got through to the next stage of CLS and St Paul’s too, no news from Habs or Westminster yet. Does anyone know how many get shortlisted for CLE interviews and St Paul’s stage 3. Would be good to know the odds.

ASahut · 12/12/2024 22:55

Hello, everyone. Do we know if Highgate announce the first round outcomes before Christmas?thank you and good luck to everyone!

DagaDiga · 13/12/2024 10:22

WUS 11+ results are out, good news for us 🙂

LJham · 13/12/2024 15:07

Congratulations! We got positive news too. Waiting for HABs now. Good luck to all those waiting for results x

pembatheart · 13/12/2024 15:49

Congratulations to all those whose DC have gone through to the next stage. Keeping fingers crossed for those still waiting. Hope they get the best school that will help them flourish!

News from St.Pau's disheartened us, Just wondering what was the cut-off scores and other factors may have palyed a role? We have EAL, SEN and do not have permanently settled status, but has right to stay here for the time being and mentioned possibility of boarding at some point when his visa status change. Can these issues make the school not to go further with his application despite of him academically outperforming? Does ISEB release the test score to gurdians/parents?

Did anyone do Alleyn’s today? The English text sounded quite unusual

pembatheart · 10/01/2025 18:45

Bumping this message- no I didn’t but wishing your DC the very best.

Anyone done the St Paul’s call back exam? How did your DC find it?

Mamba3026 · 11/01/2025 16:54

Hi Pembatheart,
My son found English more difficult than Maths, but manageable. It would be great to hear your feedback on all 3 papers. How did your boys find it?

Does anyone have an idea of how many boys sat the stage 2 exam and how many will be selected to interviews?

Oh I just saw this. I don't know the details if the English. Why was it unusual? He seemed ok with all of the papers

SamPoodle123 · 12/01/2025 07:07

@pembatheart how is going? Curious if you also applied to Kings or just the schools mentioned? Are people still waiting for results for all of the above? We are just waiting for Kings...we find out Monday.

Crabtree001 · 12/01/2025 19:03

My son found the same at St Paul 2nd stage. English is more difficult… math last question very difficult also.
