Justa- well- I strangely enough have thought about reporting him on numerous occasions, but , he is a great advertisement for the anthroposophists weirdness and desperation. He really does the anthros more good than harm. You notice there aren't droves of his "supporters".
There aren't droves of any Steiner waldorf supporters actually.....

I don't really care about him to be honest.
He's a total nutjob, and is pathetically sad.

I would rather he didn't plaster what he thinks is my name, or threaten me with how he sees me all over the place, watching and stalking, but it just goes to prove he's a madman really.

The only thing I am considering , is asking a legal person about the threads blocked and deleted on other chat boards- ( I have copies of everything), because threats of this sort are damaging to free speech.

When it's exposed about how many have been blocked and deleted, (and how many people are interested in this stuff and have been denied free access) it will be interesting.
Legal threats are one thing, but whether they hold water is another.

I wonder if action can be taken about empty threats?

I, for one, think it's a good thing to not block him or try have his stuff deleted (unless it's completely outrageous). It's better, in that case, to ask some administrator to erase only a name or a particular something that is bothering, but leave the rest.

Regarding the blocked/deleted/closed threads on other boards, I'm afraid there's nothing much to do. Sure, the effect of that practice hinders a discussion that really should be there, in the open. However, what stays and what doesn't is always entirely the board owner's decision. I'm afraid there's no right to free speech on a privately owned board. Board owners may set up their own set of rules, and we can't say anything about it. Except we can choose not to visit that board, and their membership numbers dwindle if they enact unpopular rules.

Legally - the government can't stop you from saying what you want about anthroposophy and waldorf - but private subjects like discussion boards don't have to grant you any rights at all on their boards. If that's what you meant, I don't know.

Oh thanks Zooey- so we could publish that whole discussion somewhere, and ask if people think the origonal board should have stopped it for legal reasons?

It could get quite a lot of interest that couldn't it?

This is an intriging area, because the internet seems quite grey about it, and people are definitely interested in this sort of thing....

For anyone following this, there have been many discussions at chat boards which have been stopped, after arousing phenominal interest, some definitely because they have been threatened with law suits or some such threat...

You can, but you'd have to ask every writer who participated for permission, since they own the rights to what they wrote. I mean, if you want to be on the safe side. But the board owners/aministrators idea that there was something wrong/illegal/rulebreaking about the thread won't apply elsewhere... obviously!

Jesus, if Thebee used MY real name I would go absolutely APE, for reasons other than issues with their former school. Northern, do you want our support on this at all?

Chances are , they will then block him.
As at one point he was talking about my maiden name and where I live( said he wasn't trying to find out where I live, which freaks me out as much as saying he was, it was on his mind...)
He's so fanatical, there's no knowing what he'll do if he's blocked.

As Diana says- it's the fact I have asked him repeatably, and I mean alot, and every time he's losing an argument- which is most of the time, he puts what he thinks is my name...

I think really that he's just a complete desperate saddo. Really, I pity him.

No. Isn't it the case though, that in order to protect yourself from becoming a serial threatenr, you email others off list and have them make the threats on your brhalf?
I'm thinking here specifically of young 'Alex' (aged 17 I think)on the critics list who was doing his/her level best to engage in meaningful discourse until you intervened and had him/her divert into twaddle about copyright violations?

I don't expect any straight answer, but whoever acted as agent, might want to be aware that you are not the first and won't be the last to be so used, and then probably dropped like a hot potato once you are outed, and so lost your usefulness.

As are ideas about deception, lies, openness, The Whole Picture, science, spiritual.
