Why not start a Steiner school thread here at MN to describe what you have said that you are happy with at Steiner schools, as a former Waldorf pupil and present Waldorf mother?

You think you will survive long with all the comments by Northern, barking, Diana, Zooey, Margaret, Easeonline, PeteK and other WCs just waiting to put their teeth into you?

I'd wait and watch to see how it develops.

No, you aren't good enough at writing at least in English to convey irony or much of anything else, other than mental turmoil. The reader has to struggle laboriously through your tortured syntax and misuse of ordinary words and there's no way to gauge when you maybe think you are being funny. Most of your attempts at humor have been quite unsuccessful (like the time you decided to use what you must think of as "street talk" in English).

Here's a small tip if you want to imitate me or make me think I wrote something later - don't split infinitives (I wouldn't write "to in secret indoctrinate humanity"; that is, unless I was impersonating you).

I don't need to start a thread. They all know what I think.

And have pretty much all agreed that I know what I'm doing and have made a decision that is right for my child, with plenty of knowledge and thought.

I'm not trying to defend Steiner or say how great it is. I'm just saying you and your posts are not really doing it any favours. Let them have the thread to themselves - they don't make Steiner seem any worse than you do. I haven't seen you say very much (if anything) positive about the schools. Just endless negatives about other posters, and ramblings about Anthroposophy that explain pretty much nothing.

Thebee - you are quite wrong. Those of us who are former Steiner parents have been friendly and respectful towards stripeymama because she is honest and straightforward. We are in no way out to get her. She could very easily be one of our friends. I still have many friends whose children attend Steiner Schools and I would hazard a guess that the same is true for Northern and Barking.

Since nobody on here wishes to suppress free speech, may I make a suggestion.

Thebee - you can start a thread of your own entitled 'WHY WALDORF SCHOOLS ARE GOOD'.

We could have a separate thread for former
pupils and parents of Steiner schools to exchange views and experiences.

We could agree to stay off each other's threads and see what happens!

I'm not here to promote anything. I leave that to others. Though no Waldorf parent seems to dare to do it here, in the presence of you, Northern39, who has been banned from several forums discussing WE, and some others

Why the witch-hunt against Northern? I completely understand where she's coming from and I haven't been banned from anywhere!

You keep talking about the WC crowd - I'm not on that list, Northern has said she's not on it, I believe Barking's not on it...We're just mums wanting to talk about our experiences.

Moreover, it's not as if the people he refers to as the "wc crowd" are evil people, or anything. It just happens to be people who disagree with his cult, which is actually quite legitimate and necessary. And the wc list has members that are pro-anthroposophy.
