The steiner waldorf thread ran to a halt because apparently a 1000 messages are a maximum. Let's continue here!!

You have stalked me bee, and gone to every site, blog, chatboard you think I've visited, and then posted names on here, which you think are the same as nicknames. You are guessing because you don't know that northernrefugee39 is the person you think she is.
You give no reason for doing this.

Then you start using some name farawaysomewhere, and I must be missing something, because I have no idea what you're talking about. It just confirms to me that you really are mad.

All this is totally irrelevent to the discussion in hand and as Barking says.

There seems no other reason than intimidation.

You posted this the other day

"Not to worry, xxxxx, I see you. All over the place."
That is freaky and way out of line.

You are treading very dangerous water here I would say; and the sad part is, you seem so divorced from any sort of normal life, sentiments or emotions, you simply cannot see it.

Janni · 13/04/2008 11:25

Good post, Stripey

zzooey · 13/04/2008 11:30

"Zooey:

"You don't know anything about who works for Plans and who don't,"

The board members of the WC are named at its site."

But that's YOUR web site. If you want people named, at least have the honesty to refer people to the real web site of PLANS.

zzooey · 13/04/2008 12:10

Robert Smith-Hald, who grew up in a Camphill-village writes about the Michael-myth:

"There were no pictures of Jesus in the houses in Camphill. No crosses. But there were many pictures of St. Michael slaying the dragon, and a stern, black and white photo of Rudolf Steiner. That icon had place of honour.

Anthroposophists believe they are reincarnated spiritual beings who have received enlightenment and training from the archangel Michael in the heavens. They believe that Jesus was a man, a man like you and me, and that the spirit of Christ was a wandering spirit reincarnated in Jesus for a short time. They also believe that the spirit of Christ was later reincarnated in Rudolf Steiner. Therefore, Rudolf Steiner was the second coming of Christ. And that is why there are no pictures of Jesus in the houses. That is why there are pictures of St. Michael and Rudolf Steiner. The followers of St. Michael are the disciples, and Rudolf Steiner is the Christ. And the Silent Supper is the communion with Him."

OP posts:
zzooey · 13/04/2008 12:14

Though, I never heard Steiner was the returning soul of christ, but that his earlier incarnations were S:t Augustine (I think?) and Aristoteles. Then again, I don't know if these stories are consistent. Maybe they vary some?

zzooey · 13/04/2008 13:59

Davy,
If you add thebee's name on the twisted truth-section of your web site, then we can write: look here for a presentation and names of A4W!

No, just kidding. But that's exacly what he would do.

I second the opinions of Stripey, Janni and Davy.

And let's say, Michaelmass in itself isn't the problem. I don't think it's directly harmful (I think it can be, taken into context of all other weird things in waldorf, though). What is harmful is the inability to discuss it and be honest about it. It's crazy to try to avoid the obvious facts: Steiner, and anthroposophists today, believe very specific things about Michael. It's actually very far from the ordinary S:t George-myth (that really isn't anything more than an old fairytale that nobody bothers much about).

OP posts:
Thebee · 13/04/2008 17:22

Farawaysomewhere quoting me:

"'Not to worry, xxxxx, I see you. All over the place.

That is freaky and way out of line."

With "place" I referred to this forum and all the threads you have posted probably several hundreds of anti-Waldorf postings in here at MN.

With your postings all around the horizon, it is difficult to see anything else or any other places beyond all your postings.

zzooey · 13/04/2008 17:32

Now you're being pathetic. And very confused.

Why do you keep adressing Faraway? Whoever s/he is, it seems obvious s/he's not guilty of what you accuse her/him for.

Is it an attempt to silence another critic before s/he has even begun participating? Make the critic uncomfortable? Tell her/him that you're tracking her/him?

Your own postings are everywhere, despite them being absolutely void of content.

Anyone wanting to post several hundreds (or thousands!!) of anti-waldorf posts has the right to do so.

OP posts:
Thebee · 13/04/2008 17:34

Farawaysomewhere:

"Who is reacting as a normal caring human being, and who is hysterically defending their cult?"

You sound somewhat like Christopher Hitchins:

  • "Is Religion Child Abuse?"
  • "The Nightmare of the 'Old' Testament" and
  • "The 'New' Testament Exceeds the Evil of the 'Old' one*

(from "god is not Great. How Religion Poisons Everything", 2007)

But then, he is one of your idols and role models, of have I misunderstood you?

zzooey · 13/04/2008 17:41

Christopher Hitchens:

www.hitchensweb.com/

I also recommend watching Richard Dawkins web site. There's a great movie of a 2 hour discussion between Dawkins, Hitchens, Daniel Dennett and Sam Harris.

god is not great is a great book. Have you read it, thebee? Do you know what Hitchens writes in the chapter on religion and childhood?

I think it's probable that you have no idea? You were just shocked by the title. Which, again, does speak of your cultish mindset.

OP posts:
zzooey · 13/04/2008 17:42

why doesn't the stars make the text bold?

I wanted to have god is not great

OP posts:
zzooey · 13/04/2008 17:42

god is not great

OP posts:
zzooey · 13/04/2008 17:43

there has to be * around every one of the words, that's the solution. I've been thinking about this for weeks now, but couldn't figure it out

OP posts:
zzooey · 13/04/2008 17:46

and stars are of course plural... gahh.

OP posts:
Thebee · 13/04/2008 17:49

Zooey quoting someone:

"They also believe that the spirit of Christ was later reincarnated in Rudolf Steiner."

Some more of the endless nonsense from the WC, where you participate as its latest wildly furry, and irascible Scottish Terrier mascot;-)

Thebee · 13/04/2008 17:55

Sorry about the Farawaysomewhere. It should have been Northernhysteria39.

zzooey · 13/04/2008 17:58

do you know the expression 'arg som ett bi'? (angry as a bee)

OP posts:
zzooey · 13/04/2008 18:04

Well, the person who wrote that (the text I quoted) happen to have grown up in an anthroposophical village. I hardly think it's fair of you to reject his first-hand testimonies as 'nonsense.'

Your own experience of the actual anthroposophical world seems much smaller, in comparison. Obviously this person, who wrote that, has extensive knowledge about anthro practices - and he had this knowledge long before he knew about plans (or before plans even existed).

It's a joy that you don't reject the idea that Steiner's soul previously came from S:t Augustine and Aristoteles.

Interesting. I'm sure some think he may have posessed the Christ Impulse - whether he was a reincarnation of Christ Jesus or not.

OP posts:
northernrefugee39 · 13/04/2008 18:05

Who is farawaysomewhere? I have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about.

Thebee · 13/04/2008 18:06

Zooey:

"But that's YOUR web site. If you want people named, at least have the honesty to refer people to the real web site of PLANS."

Ah! You mean PLANS!

easeonline · 13/04/2008 18:07

"Scottish Terriers were originally bred to hunt and fight badgers. Therefore, the Scottie is prone to dig as well as chase small vermin, such as Squirrels, rats, mice and foxes."

That'll do for me.

barking · 13/04/2008 18:14

easeonline - love your work

zzooey · 13/04/2008 18:22

Still your web site, thebee!!

easeonline finds a quote on fierce and brave terriers ;)
"hunt and fight"

That's unnecessarily nice put, terriers kill vermin!

OP posts:
northernrefugee39 · 13/04/2008 18:50

You tread on very thin ice by not sticking to the discussion and getting personal.
Is your cult worth so much?

northernrefugee39 · 13/04/2008 18:58

"you have posted probably several hundreds of anti-Waldorf postings in here at MN."

I have posted experiences of my kids Steiner school.
Here in UK we call Waldorf , Steiner.

That's what this board is about.
It is for MOTHERS ( predominately- there are Dads welcome) to discuss issues like education with other mothers.

Not for old men, with no children, to promote their cult. Understand?
