hi everyone, i wanted to start a new thread with a NEW topic heading here, as the active one at the moment with over 700 posts looks like it is all about the Cambridge school. This may confuse newcomers.

Let's continue the debate here !

antignome, I have no idea wtf a steiner school is or why they cant use black crayons or even what anthros is or weleda or some of the otehr words I picked up whilst skimming.
Please explain.

Like black felts, people always use them for outlines and they run out quicker than any other colour.

eh, i am sorry, i don't have a clue who tilda is (isn't it a brand of basmati rice ?), but just becuase she is a celeb. in the public eye it does not prevent us from attacking her lifestyle, unless it is libel or slander. she has publicly admitted to sending her children to a steiner school, so where is the libel/slander ?

people take the piss out of mr & mrs Cruze and mr & mrs Madonna and their strange lifestyles, so why not ms tilda ?

Steiner schools are really not for people who are serious about their kids learning or having a fair start in life.

A close childhood friend went to one but he was dentally retarded (i.e. his second teeth came in very late). Steiner does not beleive a child is physically mature enough to learn to read until their second teeth arrive. This is totally tosh. Said friend was very bright but did not start to learn to read until he was 10. His education never recovered, he nver got any qualifications and his talents were wasted. All for want of a few teeth. Tis witchery.

victorian, ah, you have arrived a few weeks too late

anthros = anthroposophy or anthroposophists (don't look it up on Wiki it has been sanitised/sanctified by the anthros themselves so it tells you nothing valuable)

weleda = is a brand of natural/organic skincare that the anthros own or have a large shareholding in, etc

the anthros are also the people behind biodynamic agriculture and a certification body called "demeter"

black crayons/paint = are banned in steiner schools (the ones those of us have personal experience of any way) - there are different theories as to why black is a no no colour (or shade) - i will let one of the experts here elaborate on that one.

i started off with peter staudenmaier's work, which sums it up nicely for me. i have also read rudolf steiner (the founding father of the anthros) although i don't recommend that unless you wish to disintegrate into a hell-hole of nonsense !

i wouldn't rely on Wiki for ANYTHING, it is not a peer-reviewed, academic journal, it isn't scientific or accurate, anyone can go in and alter any entry, which is what the anthros have done with the stuff relating to them.

reading Wiki is a bit lazy, IMO.

ah when i capitalise i am not shouting, i just can't be bothered to do my text in BOLD LETTERS

can't you tell ? that is why i type everything in small letters, no caps at the beginning of the sentence or for names, etc. so when i need to emphasise i use caps.

I read about your thread on another thread yes, but it doesn't mean I don't want to know what the heck it is all about.
There are a million and one links on here, and goodness knows how many messages on the threads.
All I'm asking is a quick summarisation of who/what the anthros are and why they are so bad, oh and what they do at steiner schools.
