Thought I'd go ahead and start. Found the old threads really interesting and would welcome ongoing input from those who've been through the whole process.
Ds in Year 5 and we are looking at a mixture of grammar schools and indies for 11+ Whitgift recommended this year - we've been told there is a drive to raise academic standards. We're going to the Open afternoon on 10th Nov.

We got offers from both W & T full paying offers for both. No scholarship or bursary though. Congratulations to those of u that received offers.

W envelope is A5 and has a letter for parent and DS and decline or accept letter.

T envelope is A4 with letters for both parent and DS
Decline and Accept offer letters

Ahmed did u get offer from W?

T told me also abt the reserve list too I doubt if anyone would reject bursary offers.

I guess that it all done now just have to try grammar schools at 11 plus.

Yes we also got an offer from Whitgift too - full fee offer.

We are eleven plus. Am going to find out what I can from T regarding reserve list. Otherwise it's state school option for us - not very great ones at that! But let's see what's meant to be will be!

supermummy - congratulations on the offers.

Remember, a lot of people will have applied for 2 or more schools. So if they have been offered bursaries from more than one school, you might get people turning down a bursary offer. You never know...

supermummy I couldn't work from home today due to some stupid meeting so DS and I wont see any envelopes, if they've arrived, until whatever time I can get back - probably 5.30 at the earliest. I am living vicariously through you all :) We are hoping for full fees offers from any/all 3 schools and would be delighted with that. We (well I) do have a secret favourite.

Most parents will have got their post so not an issue. They know parents will not want to wait until after half term. Just say your post has arrived, you've had the latter from another school, but not this one, would they mind giving the results over the phone please.

Presumably you'll be gutted if you get home and the results actually haven't arrived, and it will be too late to phone?

Still no post here I am hoping that is because my postman is so weighed down with our big a4 / a5 offer letter envelopes.

My DH has called W - our DS offered the place! We don't know about scholarship and will find all details in the letter in a 5 days!

In the letter it says ..before accepting an offer at another school please contact admissions to discuss the likelihood of a bursary.. So that's what I will be doing, need to know our chances before turning down a place. What I don't understand is they need to know whether we are accepting a place by the 7th March - we are on the bursary reserve list and unfortunately not able to send our son without a bursary so what do we do? My only thought is to try and establish where we are on reserve list. Please anyone with any thoughts on this!

Just read T letter carefully it says "Although you have not been awarded a Whitgift foundation at present,you are on a reserve list.what dose this mean for my Ds
