Withington Girls School Entrance Exams

We have registered our 10 year old daughter to write the secondary school entrance exams in January 2013. Can anyone please recommend any private tutors who are specialised in this particular entrance exam? Thanks.

No new messages just pick my dd up from a other exam and non of the mums there had a call or text from withington.... :-(

No call for me yet. I know of two who have had one so far. It was ony yesterday though. But no letter either so don't give up hope. Did your daughter do Man High?

Hi. I'm brand new on here (first post!), but I've been looking at this thread for a few days, nervous, just like everyone else! Just wanted to say Wotsit123, not to give up hope yet. I only just got a call very late afternoon today, so they are still being made. I heard that it does take them some time to get through them all and i know of someone last year that got a call a good two weeks, almost three weeks after the exam. Fingers crossed for you and your daughter.

Thanks :) It's a nervy time all round isn't it?! Not sure this phone call system is the best way I must say. Wonder why they don't do what the other schools do and just send out a batch of letters?! At least everyone knows where they stand at the same time rather than having the drip drip of info coming through! Good luck. x

@Papagei 13 thanks. Fingers crossed for you too! I am certain there are more calls to come. Everything I have heard and keep hearing suggests it takes quite a while for them to get through the whole process. Keep the faith!

I rang earlier and they said calls are being made and we should hear by tomorrow if we've got an interview. So I'm thinking keep the faith until tomorrow afternoon! Good luck to those still waiting! I much prefer man high's letter system! Much less stressful!

@wotsit123: thank's a lot for the information.... We will see.... But I think game is over to be honest-fokus on the other schools.... i prefered the Mhsg system too, everybody at the same time..... My dothers best friend had a call yesterday, now she is really upsed..... Poor little girl.....
