correction I have bids on 2 items listed this afternoon (wonders if that was a MN the second one.......)

tortoise · 08/11/2008 22:59

guyFAwkesreQuiem I get so excited when i have watchers! Even though, like you said, watchers doesn't = bids. Watchers on buy it nows make me shout at the screen 'don't watch it, buy it!'

jimjamshaslefttheyurt · 08/11/2008 23:00

I'm watching the finger puppets

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 08/11/2008 23:00

I get excited just by "hits" - I used Andale counters and permanently have a page open and refresh every so often to see how many more hits I've had

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 08/11/2008 23:02

hehe Jimjam - there used to be about 10 of them - all different animals - don't know where the other 6 went (probably up the hoover at some point lol) - don't even know where they came from ! (well I never bought them and I don't remember them being passed onto us.........)

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 08/11/2008 23:05

actually I can't believe how much stuff I have - I've got about 10 boxes of stuff upstairs to get rid of - the stuff that I've listed this last week and today is less than 2 boxes of it !! oh and I think I've got a few more boxes in the cupboard under the stairs.

Done it! Sold DHs Peugeot 306 for £900 this morning on Buy it Now. Sadly, £650 has to go to landlord for rent, but it leaves just shy of £250 for a push bike for DH to get to work.

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 08/11/2008 23:07

yay well done Lou

Right, have added more items to turbo lister. Am bored of it now and tired. They better sell after all this effort!

Housemum · 09/11/2008 12:40

5p listing ends today girls!

Have sold 2 items (£38) so far and have loads ending today...

yes it's selling!

Everything has at least 1 watcher except for 2 of the leotards and the cream McKenzie top, so hopeful..

Wow Aimsmum, that is good.

Will leave it a little longer before i upload from turbo lister. Is it better to list a few at a time or just upload all at one time? Easier in one go lol!

tortoise · 09/11/2008 22:18

added 13 more items.
I keep checking to see if i have anymore bids or watchers!

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 09/11/2008 22:35

I haven't added any more today - with 30+ things listed, even with the postage within 5 business days it's going to be tricky getting it all out on time (presuming it all sells)

my 2 items I'd relisted which finished this evening didn't sell, so they've gone back in the car boot box.

Will probably add some more stuff tomorrow night.

Got quite a few watchers on my stuff added Friday/Saturday and bids on 2 of them

tortoise · 09/11/2008 22:39

Thats what i always have trouble with. The postage! I am pretty slow at sending because i often don't have the money spare to post!
I won't be listing anything else for a few days now.

I've started putting on the listings 5 day dispatch - which gives me time

a) to make sure I have some money in to pay for the packaging

b) buy the packaging

c) wrap the stuff

and

d) get into town to post it

Aimsmum - with regards to your phone - I would leave it - just had a look at completed listings and I reckon you'll easily get over £100 for it look

yes I find the 5 day dispatch gives me a little leeway in terms of posting, then if (like today) it's pissing with rain and I really can't be arsed to go to town it doesn't matter. Also means I don't have to keep sending apologetic emails to winning bidders for the delay in posting as the listing quite clearly states that it will be dispatched within 5 business days of the payment clearing.

I've got 3 bids on stuff I listed on Friday/Saturday - totally...........wait for it £2.97 lol - still got a couple of days to run so hopefully will get more bids on other stuff.
