They had a guitar there today and yest. I think it was the same size as DS2's 3/4 one. Will see if it is there tomorrow. Think it had about £8 on it.

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 14:10

tortoise ooh yes please but can't really pay anymore than that as postage going to be heavy!

Did you get anything ?

tortoise · 14/11/2008 18:11

The guitar was £9.99 and didn't look brilliant. Ebay is probably your best option and one in your area.

I got a few bits for my DC plus a Peppa Pig and family push along car, click clack pull along dog (looking on Ebay seems it is a m&s one), a BN game called The big Taboo(of which 3 have sold as BIN on Ebay for £9.99! and a mixed collection of happyland stuff.

Will probably get them listed tonight. Going to have to get very organised and get it all sorted ASAP. Have been told today that i can have gall stones op on the 9th Dec. Not 100% sure i want to go before xmas though.

tortoise · 14/11/2008 18:12

Oh and a ELC tractor which makes noises!

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 19:10

ohh good stuff thanks anyway!
How much do you want for the peppa car ?

not a good time for an op suppose it depends on how much you need it !

tortoise · 14/11/2008 19:14

Erm i dunno lol! Don't like to make profit from a fellow MNer!

No not a great time for op but means i will be able to eat xmas dinner without worrying about too much fat setting off an attack.

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 19:24

Just seen this thought of you

LOL i expect you to add a few pound dd has wanted one for ages although she has far too much for xmas already but can put it away for her birthday in Jan!

tortoise · 14/11/2008 19:39

That looks good. Prefer to spend less if possible. Not keen on seller not taking paypal on such an expensive item though. Thanks.

I paid 99p for the peppa car. Make me an offer?

Ally90 · 14/11/2008 19:41

I'm up for it...a) need money b) need garage and understairs cupboard and loft freed up

Just have to get motivated...bit scared about ebaying it...what happens if I get a difficult customer??

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 19:59

ooh didn't see that thought you HAD to offer paypal will keep looking for you!

I don't know hate making offers!

shopaholicDIVA · 14/11/2008 20:00

hi all, i havent hit shop, instead i ordered stuff from boots, spend 125 pounds and got 2890 points back so it actually cost me under 100 pounds shame they left cashback sites.
ally, you betterstart listing as it takes at least 7 days for auction then buyers pay at least withing 3-5 days. you pack post 2 days.
soon will be xmas, royal mail always struggle at xmas anyway.
anyone have strawberry shortcake house? im desperate for one?

shopaholicDIVA · 14/11/2008 20:04

tortoise, was it you had vsmile games? i suppose they all gone by now? im sorry i totally forgot

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 20:06

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 20:07

Ally they few and far netween but agree get started now it will soon be xmas esp toys!

tortoise · 14/11/2008 20:09

Diva Yes and yes Sorry.

Have set all the Happyland stuff up and take photo. There are 70 pieces inc the track! It better make more than i paid for it.

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 20:19

Was someone on here not asking for happyland / littlepeople stuff ?

Wish i lived near this charity shop never any toys in ours!

tortoise · 14/11/2008 20:32

Oh i don't know. Was it on the for sale/wanted threads?

Happyland stuff was from the somerset hospice across the road from normal one. They charge more so don't buy from there very often!! This lot cost me £8.50 and they had tested the noisy bit and labelled it as not working! I tried to haggle but they wouldn't go lower.
Turns out it works fine! Hoping for at least £20 for it all. Or am i being to optimistic?

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 20:37

tortoise can only try i got nearly ten for ds happyland track with people all working!

But then my sis sold hers and got couple of quid maybe put it all on BIN!

Worth putting it on toys ad!

shopaholicDIVA · 14/11/2008 20:42

i have loads happyland too, but id ecided not to sell this year as ds have gargae and airport, so nay be next year will sell all as job a lot,
i sold loads bnew clothes, as im terribly addicted buying clothes, i have a few more pairs of boden jeans to sell

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 20:44

Diva love the Boden jeans but they are too expensive for me !

tortoise · 14/11/2008 20:50

I think i will start it at £8 (or should i risk starting at £5?) and just take my chances that i get a profit. Completed listings vary as to final prices.

Lilyloo · 14/11/2008 20:51

Would start at 8 what is your fancy dress costume someone on her looking for a sheep!

tortoise · 14/11/2008 21:01

Its a sheep dog . DD2 looked so cute in it.

Will start at £8 then. Just adding to turbo lister to upload tonight.

guyFAwkesreQuiem · 14/11/2008 21:02
