Hi i just recieved this job lot of nappies from ebay. When they arrived the nappy buckets are missing and all the nappies are for premature and newborn babies. I specifically asked the seller if the nappies were suitable for my lo and was told that there were nappies suitable from premature to 3 years. Now im out of pocket with no nappies for my dd. What can i do

it's just too far away to be right -

ebay is usually fab, so i woudl guess this is a mistake first...

Give them a chance to respond, then raise a Paypal dispute if you're not happy -- this certainly sounds like "not as described" to me.

OEM · 21/01/2008 16:12

Yes im hoping they respond soon, dp is not going to be happy when he gets home

when did you email them?i often forget some people dont/cant go on computer every day!
id say not as desribed.let us know what email reply says.

Pannacotta · 21/01/2008 22:12

Not good.
If you have no joy then you can raise a paypal dispute, this ought to mean you get your money back though you might have to return the goods to get the refund.

Dropdeadfred · 21/01/2008 22:14

raise a dispute now..it stops them being able to withdraw your money

OEM · 21/01/2008 22:16

Im not bothered about returning the nappies as they are no good to me and i really dont want the hassle of trying to sell them on.
I emailed them at about £.40is this afternoon, if they dont reply by tommorow afternoon i shall open a dispute, although they have had my money since the 15th .

Ok OEM, will have a look now.
Just had a thought on this, if the sizes of the nappies you bought weren't mentioned on the listing then it might be hard to say they are not "as described". You might need to use just the missing buckets as the reason for not as described IYSWIM.
Have you tried also posting on the ebay boards for advice? There are some really helpful and experienced folk on there.

OEM · 21/01/2008 22:25

Yes that what i was woried about, so i specifically asked, however at least i have the lack of buckets to fall back on.

OP posts:
moljam · 21/01/2008 22:43

but do you still have email from them?

OEM · 21/01/2008 22:45

No thats the bum of it, i might have to just cut my losses and steer clear of them again, not going to let the lack of buckets drop though as they were clearly listed and pictured.

moljam · 21/01/2008 22:49

would ebay have copy of email maybe?

Pannacotta · 21/01/2008 22:51

If you sent the email via ebay it will be in your messages sent box (look under My ebay/my messages).
