MadameWeb · 18/03/2007 14:50

im selling tickets to a fight,

this woman emails me asking me to put a 'buy it now price' on

i say how much?

then within 10 minutes i get 3 emails

1st- Ill give you £120 immediate paypal payment, but you now have to cancel the bid thats been placed on them, please dont wait as long to reply incase more bids are placed, im only offering you this because at least your listing looks genuine, there seems to be a lot of sellers selling email conformations and not alot of hard tickets.

2- Did you get my message?, please respond sooner rather than later.

3-rd saying ...
Your meant to discuss the matter with me not just ignore!. Do you want to sell the tickets? Im not sitting here all day, there are a pile of best offer listings

so i reply saying

im sorry but its mothersday and im not sat at the computer all day waiting for messages, im busy,
and i wont sell the tickets on the basis that you are quite rude

(which i think she was! - those emails were sent within minutes of each other - give me a chance to reply!!)

so then i get this ...

I dont understand? im sorry if ive offended you, im just trying to buy your tickets? I have to be better behaved to do so? I too want to give my mother some attention instead of emailing and waiting on responses. Your attitude is terrible and that of a premadona and now i have no choice but to contact ebay and have your tickets pulled and your account suspended. Have a nice mothers day. Of course if you want to apologies for talking to a buyer in a demeaning way, feel free

weirdo

what exactly is she going to report me for - saying she is rude - can she report me?? she hasnt even bought anything??

what a freak!!!

misdee · 18/03/2007 14:56

tell to go f herself.

whats her ebay id, can we flood her with emails?

satine · 18/03/2007 14:57

Gawd, he/she sounds like a right nutter. Just block any bids from them and ignore. Ebay must get masses of loony emails; if he/she does bother to try and complain they'll see straight away that they're mad.

indiajane · 18/03/2007 14:59

Def she's in the wrong - not you. she sounds like a freak!!

That has made me laugh, she must really need those tickets!

sixlostmonkeys · 18/03/2007 15:18

put her on your blocked buyers list!!
infact - could you tell us her name so I can add her to MY blocked buyers list?

oh, and when you've put her the BBL email and tell her so.

oh, and tell us what she says

fryalot · 18/03/2007 15:18

She's a weirdo allright! fwiw: You can only do a buy it now price if there are no bids and there is over twelve hours to run on the auction. So, as there are already bids on them, she was expecting you to break the rules.

Are the tickets for the Weirdo World Cup?

sixlostmonkeys · 18/03/2007 15:19

excuse me MadameWeb but it's been numerous seconds since I posted my response, why aren't you replying to me??

MadameWeb · 18/03/2007 15:24

pmsl

im not replying because you are rude

if you are logged in - type in

help

see ' Unwelcome and Malicious Buying '
and onm that page there is a link 'block buyers' you can add their user name.

wotzsaname · 18/03/2007 15:50

just paste "Unwelcome and Malicious Buying' in help and follow instructions. That might be a better way.

MadameWeb · 18/03/2007 15:53

right blocked her

how does this sound --- (about to send to her) ...

thankyou for your imput.

i have informed ebay of you emails and forwarded them to ebay for them to see.

they have also been informed that you contacted me through email in an attempt to buy these these tickets as' buy it now' instead of bidding on the auction as ebay rules require.

by contacting me and inquiring about 'adding a buy it now price' you have broken ebay rules.

i have also added you to my 'blocked buyers list' so you are no longer able to bid on any of my items,

thankyou

sixlostmonkeys · 18/03/2007 15:55

thats good - also tell her it is against ebay rules to threaten and harrass vis email or messages

sixlostmonkeys · 18/03/2007 15:56

actually (thinking on my feet here ) im not sure if its against teh rules to request a buy it now - only to request an off ebay sale

Spidermama · 18/03/2007 15:57

Very good madame web. Utterly reasonable and beyond reproach and thereby startlingly different from her messages.

Pixiefish · 18/03/2007 15:57

Not disagreeing with you or anything as I think she was very rude but she wasn't actually breaking ebay rules asking you to sell it on a BUy It Now. Had she asked you to sell to her off ebay that would have been a breach of rules but to just add it as a BIN option is ok
