I'm getting back into my eBaying, massive clear outs will keep me busy over this free listings weekend, wondered if anyone wanted to join me in making Christmas as cheap as possible and having the good people of eBay pay for most of it!

Business sellers will find this is a FLW (I think that's what announcement means).

22 of my items finished last night & no bids. They are 99p-ers so will relist this eve.

Another 10 or so finishing tonite but I don't expect them to sell, either.

Tortoise · 10/11/2012 10:33

I haven't had any messages saying FLW for business sellers. Would be amazing if it was. I've got loadsto list on business accountnt.

lljkk · 10/11/2012 10:52

It's in the announcements bit, Tortoise, go to home page & click on "Announcements" at the bottom. Maybe I misunderstood, though.

Mirage · 10/11/2012 18:39

I just knew it.I opened a case because of a NPB,after which he paid and I sent the item off.I had a feeling that he'd find something wrong with it,so hadn't left feedback like I normally would.I was right,he's left me a positive, but written that it isn't a tea towel but a traycloth and he's disappointed. It IS bloody tea towel,a linen one for polishing glassware.I've left follow up feedback saying that I'm sorry that he's disappointed and I'm happy to refund if he wants to return it.I bet he won't,he just wanted to get a dig in because I opened a case.Angry

Wanders off muttering.

Tortoise · 10/11/2012 18:58

Ah i see FLW for business sellers with Basic or Featured Shop subscriptions. I don't have a shop so that cancels me out. Shame though.

One of my items was bid up to £8 but at least 3 days since last bid the highest bidder has retracted their bid. It's now down to just over £6. So bloody annoying when bidders do that.

LineRunner · 11/11/2012 18:16

Had a really good day. Lots of people got bargains, but I got shot of stuff and some money (hopefully!).

Finishing listings between 6 and 7pm on Sunday seemed to be fine.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 11/11/2012 19:36

Mine are all finishing in the next 2 hours - roll up roll up buyers!!

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 11/11/2012 19:55

Erm. Fecking hell. Just started listing another aftershave we found after the success last week, when I went to load the listing on a timed start without pictures (so I could add them later) and it came up with a big eBay is this item genuine warning - this listing will automatically be investigated.

Did a completed listings search and think it might go for mad money Shock

MrsKwazii · 11/11/2012 20:22

Am seeing a few items sell tonight. Now need to schlep to the shed to get all of the packing stuff ready

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 11/11/2012 21:50

Sold 12 out of my 15 things for £54.81, fees to take off but 3 things will be collected with cash on collection so that saves a few pennies!

Need to get more things ready for the next FLW now!

amck5700 · 11/11/2012 22:18

I managed to sell 2 things that I didn't have currently listed today :o

My unpaid item case was closed so I 2nd chance offered it and the person bought it - despite it being nearly 3 weeks since the item closed. And a watcher on an other item that hadn't sold, contacted me to say they had missed bidding and offered a very reasonable BIN price so that's been re-listed and sold :)

Only another 12 quid to the pot but it's money from things I would have just given away.

We had visitors for the weekend and I was too tired to list anything else today so I'll get some more things on during the week. Got some boots, snow boots and winter jackets to go on - decided to shelf the shorts, t-shirts and school wear for now - that can be the summer spending money campaign!

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 11/11/2012 22:43

£36 from today. I'm up to £195.24 now... I'm running out of stuff to list now though! will have to dig around before next weekend.

CaptainKirksNipples · 12/11/2012 20:09

£35 early and That last lot got me £137 and I've sold my ipad1 for £170! Getting really excited about having space in the kids room and also not over spending at Christmas! Probably about £250 once you take off fees :-)

notcitrus · 13/11/2012 04:21

Zilch this week. Will put all baby clothes in a couple big bundles and give one last go, but then they're off to the charity shop. Even brand new with tags stuff and Boden not selling.

Was hoping to sell a massage table for decent money but someone is selling brand new ones from China for £60 so old ones aren't making much.

Will see if any toys are suitable to sell as that's the only thing that seems to be going.

LineRunner · 13/11/2012 07:58

Over the weekend I did sell quite a few soft toys; console games; and adult winter clothes.

On the other hand, I don't know how these buyers are going to like what's sent to them. I describe things accurately, and always as 'used'; but if they are buying used stuff for presents, it's never going to work 100% of the time.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 13/11/2012 10:26

I do wonder that sometimes. I've sold quite a lot of used but barely used stocking filler type stuff which would be totally fine.

OTOH, I'm just about to send off some obviously worn snowboots. They still work as snowboots, but still, I'm not sure I would've paid £8 for them. I do wonder if they will get returned - can only hope they read my description thoroughly!

ontheedgeofwhatever · 13/11/2012 10:44

:) just had someone bid £10 each on 3 items - war hammer quest miniatures. they've still got 4 days to go and all have watchers so hopefully they'll go for a bit more but we'll see. Including those my current profit is £205.75 so might manage the £300 by Christmas which would be lovely. Need to get some energy and get listing though as not many things left.

Got a Chalet School book finishing tonight. Its on £4.20 with 6 watchers at the moment so will see what happens

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 13/11/2012 10:50

Does anyone know how I can make a listing viewable on international eBay sites instead of just the UK?

lljkk · 13/11/2012 11:01

TEWI:

You know how listing is done on 2 different pages (3 if you count choosing pictures pop-up)? You fill in details on first page & the second page is like a review/overview page?

Offer international posting on first page & a tickbox option should come up on the second usual page, you pay 5-10p for listing on ebay.com & ebay.ca.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 13/11/2012 11:07

I thought that but couldn't see a tickbox when I went back to edit it, it just says international listing not allowed. Is it because I already have bids?

PurpleFrog · 13/11/2012 11:10

I had 2 re-lists that finished on Sunday with no interest. I have 6 things finishing tonight and 2 already have bids, with a couple of others having watchers! And I have 4 things finishing tomorrow night, 2 of which have watchers. [I made a conscious decision not to have everything finishng at the same time from the last FLW, as I always struggle to package everything up in time.]

I also managed to trade-in a book at the weekend on Amazon for £3.95... a book that I failed to sell a couple of weeks ago at an NCT NNS for £1.50! So I will send that off this week with my eBay parcels.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii - I know that when I put in postage rates for the US and Canada, I get a little box that I can tick to give visibility on the US and CA sites - think it costs 5p or 10p. I don't know about anywhere else, though.

lljkk · 13/11/2012 11:31

Ah, yes, I suppose you can't add international listing to an active auction, or one that has bids on it.
Better luck next time.

TeWiDoesTheHulaInHawaii · 13/11/2012 13:48

Never mind! I should have thought of it earlier.

lljkk · 13/11/2012 19:52

Ooh! Some of my stuff is selling.

SNOWBall4girlz · 13/11/2012 23:49

Well I have 28 listings finishing tomorrow.
Two items sold tonight do I am £5.50 better off before fees.
I have 8 watchers on a Peppa pig bundle. I am selling all my dd's 4-5 yr old stuff and have a bid on a set of three t- shirts and skirts and a bid on a black party dress age 12 - 13 but my pictures made it look gray :( so hope the buyer likes it :)
my stuff
