I'm getting back into my eBaying, massive clear outs will keep me busy over this free listings weekend, wondered if anyone wanted to join me in making Christmas as cheap as possible and having the good people of eBay pay for most of it!

Yay, the buggy has been paid for but I do have to pack it and send with a courier. Have just ordered 100m of bubble wrap so that should do it Grin!!!

I am all stressed out today, listing and selling and packing and worrying about couriers and last posting dates and I really need to stop this. Now. Xmas Grin

Tip: Sainsbury's "FRAGILE" tape is rubbish. At least, don't expect it to use in place of proper parcel tape. It only cost 24.5p/roll, though, so I'm not complaining.

One of my buyers sent me 2 messages about careful packing Hmm. I spent ages finding boxes that I thought would be up to her specifications (see, hoarding is a good thing).

I reduced my last BIN from £25 to £20 last night.

It sold today Xmas Grin.

Thats's it though, not doing anything else this year. I've just got too much else on to worry about packing and posting at his time of year.

I will tot up what I've made thanks to this thread and report back with a total. Not sure it'll be £300 after fees, but it's not a bad sum I'm sure.

I've put so much on ebay today, the DCs are worried about my sanity. (And their possessions.)

...I sold so many of the boys winter jackets that they are reduced to sharing one.......oops! :o

They actually have a new one each but they are still in the packaging, thinking if they can manage without, i'll sell them next year with tags still on :)

Eldest wont wear one over his blazer and younger wears a warm jacket to school as he is still primary and he wasn't feeling well enough to go out in the snow after school so eldest just put the same one on to go out in when he came home from school.....I just kept my mouth shut and prayed for the snow to go by the weekend!!

I'm another one hat doesn't take tags off now until something is about to be actually worn! Grin

I listed 9 items at the weekend - 3 re-lists and 6 new items - all for 7 days. I have so much to do before Christmas that I hope I am not going to regret spending so much time this weekend on something that wasn't strictly necessary!

I think I'm going to split the Wii bundle. The games that were selling for under £10 a couple of weeks ago are now selling for £25+ so I think I'll get rid of it all bit by bit.

Good idea, Hiccup. I am amazed what is selling for what, this week.

I got asked for a BIN price for man utd rug. I went for £10 and they snapped it up Smile . No idea how much it might have sold for on bids but that's one more thing out the house! Grin

OK, so how many of us have made £300 since the thread started (where is Benediots??) at the end of August?

I have made about £500 for me and the DC and I am amazed, and grateful to MN for kicking me up the arse to do it.

Me, I made over £300 in a single one of my very first sales.
Have made the same again in other sales (I think, can't be asked to figure out for exact certain).
Normally I am third class in these threads, though. I think I'm finally getting the hang of decluttering.

Must resist the urge to use up Paypal balance, though it's looking embarassingly large at the moment.

I think I am now down to only stuff that is "low sell" though: ie, it might have to be listed 20x before it sells. So back to third class in future.

I didn't dare sell anything worht more than a tenner until I'd got the hang of eBay, dealt with my first nutter (badly!) and knew the names of everyone in the local Post Office.

So here we are at Christmas ... sold a few 'high end' things and desperately hoping the buyers are happy.

Woohoo! Just sold one of the newly split Wii bundle games!! Fingers crossed the others go too...just off to list the last of it.

I've just transferred £250 from PayPal into my bank account.

Still not trotted everything up, taken off fees and postage but I'm happy and we're a bit less cluttered for a couple of weeks so that's fine.

I'm also more likely to use eBay again for similar things. Previously I'd only sold our big baby stuff, so thank you to this thread for inspiring me to do more!!

Hiccup, how did you split your Wii bundle?

Report
HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 10/12/2012 21:00

Wii fit board and game (sold already!!)
Wii Play with extra controller
Wii sports resort and motion sensor
Mario kart and 3 wheels

My friend has expressed an interest in the console as hers isn't working properly but if the other things sell for their current BIN then I'll be happy to get £20 for it. I've still got a nunchuck (in original packaging), a charging thingy for the controllers and a couple of other games which I might bundle together with the 2 which have been on fixed price for the last 3 weeks.

Report
LineRunner · 10/12/2012 21:29

Thanks, Hiccup. That's really useful.

I've got loads of console-related stuff still in the packaging, that I was sold as a 'Must Have' in the shop and never needed to open...

We're nearly at the end of the thread!

Tortoise · 10/12/2012 21:36

Hiccup Is it the wiimote charging stand? I've been looking to get one as our remotes eat batteries!

Shall I start a new thread? Could be a Christmas and new year one. Smile
