I'm getting back into my eBaying, massive clear outs will keep me busy over this free listings weekend, wondered if anyone wanted to join me in making Christmas as cheap as possible and having the good people of eBay pay for most of it!

Listings look good to me, like it where you've shown the crossings out on the jacket.

Just on the car seat and ISOFIX, I didn't know you could sell used car seats. I've got an ISOFIX base on and I put a start price of £10, I'm getting messages asking for a BIN price of £25 and I only put it on today. Price looks low to start and it is a free listing weekend. It'll probably rise anyway but you could increase it?

Could I ask ebayers, I'm thinking of rejecting the BIN price and and leaving the auction to run. WWYD?

kekouan · 22/09/2012 21:03

Thanks. I think it's OK to list car seats? Mine certainly hasn't been in an accident or anything. I just went on the other similar listings - the highest ones with an EasyFix were the ones that started at 0.99. The ones that didn't sell started at £20 plus.

Bongaloo · 22/09/2012 21:15

ooo I don't know about the BIN Blueberry. If you're getting messages it looks like it'll sell for a good price on auction.

I'm starting to lag a bit now. I'm on £90 odd (kerching) - and some of that was 99p ers - so you can imagine how busy I've been with it. A couple of household items boosted it a bit.
But I think the best stuff has gone now, and the idea of faffing about with more baby clothes and bundling them together, charging the camera, isn't very appealing.
I've got about 20 things on just now and hopefully a bigger item to be ready in a couple of days to give it another boost.
There just aren't enough hours in the day!
I'll get back with it in the week.

Iggly · 23/09/2012 09:08

Hi ladies I'm late to the party but wondered if I could join in? Will be rummaging later to see what I can sell!

LineRunner · 23/09/2012 09:42

Welcome to Faff Central!

Iggly · 23/09/2012 10:13

Thanks! So far I've found:

Baby boden coat
Bug in a rug to keep baby warm in a carseat (a blanket with feet)
A baby sleep positioner for reflux babies
An old digital camera
A couple of dresses for autumn weddings

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 23/09/2012 12:14

I must stop refreshing my selling page! The problem is, when I see a new bid it encourages me to refresh more frequently!! Grin

Welcome to new challengers Smile

I have a whopping 52 watchers on a cosytoes...a bit worried that people think it's more special than it is. Will be glad to see the back of it though, it's quite big and takes up lots of space in my drawer... I've already thought about how many things will replace it in the drawer and that has made me Smile.

Right, one more refresh then I'm off to start photographing.

Five items ending tonight, four with bids and all with watchers.

LineRunner · 23/09/2012 13:14

Odd, isn't it, with watchers? I've got 20 on a very ordinary jumper. Do they think it has magical properties?

I hate photographing stuff. I'm not creative. And I just got drenched going up the post office.

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 23/09/2012 13:26

I know...it'll stress me out until I know the winner has received it and isn't going to leave me neg fb for misleading them...it isn't even a branded item...it has no makers label so I couldn't even say where it's from!

good luck with the jumper...maybe it does have magical properties and you just aren't aware of them yet!

Envy that your post office is open on a Sunday!

Oh and I've only got three items ending today...all 99p starters...but I'm keeping everything crossed for a good end price!

LineRunner · 23/09/2012 13:37

I am really lucky being five minutes away on foot from a main post office that's open on Sundays. And that opens at 8.30am on Mondays, which I walk past on the way to work.

And when I get to work, there's another main post office right next to it.

I don't think I could cope with eBay otherwise. Grin

Just going to check the bizarre jumper frenzy. I expect it'll sell for 99p in the end.

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 23/09/2012 13:45

Actually, I'm also very lucky because my post office is just a few doors away. My problem is that it is quite small and cramped inside, I nearly always have a buggy during normal opening hours and it's a very busy PO. However, the post mistress is extremely helpful and lets me drop off a bag of parcels with an amount of money I estimate will cover postage then I pop back in at the end of the day or next day to pick up receipts/change.

I hope your magical jumpers fetches more than 99p!

lljkk · 23/09/2012 13:50

I put up 86 listings last night, 5 more tonite. About a dozen in total for someone else (charity, DC). I only expect about 9 to sell.

Remember I had a combined 69 or 72 watchers on 2 items, and only 1 bid at all. I don't think watchers count for much, now.

I made reductions on start price last night on quite a few of my recurrent listings, just want to see the back of them now.

LaVitaBellissima · 23/09/2012 13:52

I posted ages ago but have only just started listing, 6 items so far!

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 23/09/2012 14:05

lljkk - oh my goodness, 86 items? Shock

Lavita - well done...I'm yet to get the camera out Blush

LineRunner · 23/09/2012 14:17

86???!

LineRunner · 23/09/2012 15:40

I have listed four bloody items all afternoon.

Thank you to the cats for sitting in the boots I was trying to photograph.

PurpleFrog · 23/09/2012 16:14

Ahh.. so it is "Puss in Boots" you are selling LineRunner! Smile

2 items this afternoon. And it's pesky trying to get a decent photo in my place on a gloomy day - they are better with natural light.
HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 23/09/2012 18:07

4 hours later and I have 9 items sceduledBlush. It would have been 10 except I have chickened out of listing ds' baby snowsuit (he's now 10 years old HmmBlushGrin...I'm a terrible hoarder!). I got as far as photographing it but I can't quite take the last step to getting it listed!

Off to make some dinner then hopefully will have another hour to list a few more things before everything goes live at 9pm.

lljkk · 23/09/2012 18:42

Flog the snowsuit next FLW!
Set up the auction now but scheduled for some time almost 3 weeks hence. Then list it or reschedule as required, after you upload a pic.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 23/09/2012 19:37

Well all 4 of my listings have sold, but I've just been messaged by a buyer asking if I will cancel their bid as she was getting it for a friend and it's the wrong size!

It only sold for 99p, somi'm happy to do this and realist it, but I don't know how now thatbthe sale's ended.

Is it possible to do this?

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 23/09/2012 21:09

I used eBay chat! They were very helpful and as long as the buyer agrees, which they ought to as they requested it, the transaction can be cancelled.

Never used eBay chat before but it was excellent.

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 23/09/2012 21:40

Glad you got it sorted! Good to hear that eBay chat is useful for times when this section is quiet Grin

I just sold two out of three items and I'm up to £369.99 now Grin

Re-listed the unsold and have 9 new auctions just started.

The bids are creeping up on the cosytoes. The only other one similar to it on eBay is currently at £54 Shock ... I can't imagine anyone paying that much for this one.

McPhee · 23/09/2012 21:52

Another maternity top gone

Money is creeping up Smile
