I'm getting back into my eBaying, massive clear outs will keep me busy over this free listings weekend, wondered if anyone wanted to join me in making Christmas as cheap as possible and having the good people of eBay pay for most of it!

yes add them to your blocked bidder list and block buyers from countries you don't ship to

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 20/09/2012 21:19

Thanks, I think that I've done that.

Does it take a bit of time to come I to effect?
in the meantime I've messaged the buyer explaining the situation and asking the, to retract their bid.

Hopefully I'll get it sorted one way or another.

fergoose · 20/09/2012 21:27

you can cancel their bid - adding them to the blocked list should have done that shouldn't it?

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 20/09/2012 22:00

It doesn't seem to have cancelled their bid.

Can I do it? Perhaps I'll ask eBay if they can

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 20/09/2012 22:09

Brilliant! Thanks so much for that link. I've managed to cancel the bid.

I really struggle to find my way around eBay to find things like that Blush

McPhee · 21/09/2012 07:28

Two maternity tops finishing today, which each have 8/9 watchers. No bids on them as yet, but I'm hoping for a bidding war Grin

A couple of other items have bids on already, and aren't due to finish for a few days. It's a start!

PurpleFrog · 21/09/2012 08:49

Free listing again this weekend (21st and 22nd Sept). Usual conditions apply!

McPhee · 21/09/2012 09:07

Brilliant.

More clearing out to be done over the weekend I think.

Thanks for letting us know

fergoose · 21/09/2012 09:10

Iwish - rather than searching within eBay just google - if you just type in 'eBay cancel bid' the link will be there at the top - far quicker than trying to find within eBay itself

FreddieMercuryforQueen · 21/09/2012 09:13

Going to have another big sort out for this weekend as I need to boost my total!

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 21/09/2012 09:20

Bugger, listed a couple of things last night not realising it was gng to be FL this weekend Hmm.

Oh well, there's plenty more to list Grin. I'm doing an airport run in the morning then the rest of the weekend will be spent ebaying/sorting!

MrsKwazii · 21/09/2012 09:55

Hurray for more free listings! Need to get my finger out and get more bits on.

Am still chasing the last payments for stuff that sold last weekend. The excuses some buyers come out with for slow payment are rubbish. Oh well.

Mirage · 21/09/2012 12:25

Hooray, there is a towering pile of stuff for me to put on.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 21/09/2012 19:48

Thanks Fergoose.

McPhee · 21/09/2012 22:03

Two Maternity tops sold tonight!

I'm off the starting blocks with £19.40

LineRunner · 21/09/2012 23:09

That's good. Well done. I've got loads on 99p!

McPhee · 21/09/2012 23:15

Well I started listing stuff tonight, then I saw the free listing over the weekend.

Gonna hold off until tomorrow night now. I'm never sure whether it's better doing 5 day or 7 day listing?

What do you guys tend to prefer doing?

McPhee · 22/09/2012 08:47

Another Maternity top sold this morning...it's starting to add up now.

I'm feeling very spurred on Smile

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 22/09/2012 13:48

I have a few bids and plenty of watchers but am losing my nerve on two of my auctions. I started them at 99p to avoid listing fees and am now torn between ending the auction early and relisting at a higher amount or letting them run and knowing that they'll free up a fair amount of space at home when they've gone. Both have a couple of bids and a few watchers each but I'm pretty sure they won't reach the price I'd be happy with. I've previously listed them at the price I want a couple of times but they haven't sold so maybe I just need to accept that I'm not going to get the big bucks and let them go for less.

I need a rocket up my whatsit to get me off the sofa, up to my room and photographing my next lot of listings! Grin

kekouan · 22/09/2012 16:55

Just a handful or stuff listed to start tonight, I'd appreciate any feedback on my listings (note they're not due to go live until 8pm tonight)

LineRunner · 22/09/2012 17:07

I'm going to list tonight, but for 10 days, because I can't post out till the next Tuesday.

Hiccup, I have just let some things go for 99p. It hurts a bit, but I have just got to start getting rid of stuff in my house! Also, people who get a bargain are much more likely to give rave 5* feedback.

I only started eBaying in June but have now got up to 70 good feedbacks with only one nasty buyer.

LineRunner · 22/09/2012 17:09

kekouan, we can't see them till they go live. But I'll have a look then, and you can always revise them on the basis on any feedback you get on here.

kekouan · 22/09/2012 17:09

Thanks - I didn't think you'd be able to see them, just wanted to mark my place on the thread before I forgot about it Grin

kekouan · 22/09/2012 19:42

Listings are live - would appreciate any feedback :) TIA
