Post your listings and questions here. The purpose is to raise money for Christmas and I'll start by showing my (so far) meagre listings here

I am going to sort through my son's wardrobe and through his toys tomorrow so there will be quite a few things going. I know there will be a few Vertbaudet jumpers and some happyland things, hopefully they will fetch a good price.

I've still got two non-payers from Sunday night. One of them placed her bid 2 seconds before the auction ended Angry. I find that really poor show.

I'm really pleased though, today I sold a couple of books I didn't ever think I'd get rid of and I've got 23 watchers on another item! If these non-payers cough up I'll have made £65 already - thanks so much for the inspiration Dino :)

LaWeasel · 31/08/2011 21:28

Um. Wow.

Today is auction ending today - sold 15/16. We've made... £288.93

I am like ShockShockShockShock

DecapitatedLegoman · 01/09/2011 07:49

Well done LaWeasel! :)

nickelbabe · 01/09/2011 11:45

I wish i had some better stuff to sell.
We needed to clear out quickly, so all the good stuff has already gone to charity.

nickelbabe · 01/09/2011 11:46

fabulous LaWeasel! Grin

LaWeasel · 01/09/2011 11:49

We were deliberately looking for things we have which are worth a decent amount but that we barely use - the wii, ipod and ck bag all sold well, despite being well used in the past, so I'm pleased but I don't think we've got anything else worth really decent money left!

acsec · 01/09/2011 12:00

I'll give it a go, got a few things to sell.

Sunday is a good day to end an auction on, I've found, as people tend to be at home.

TheOriginalNutcracker · 01/09/2011 15:05

Sold all of mine in the end. Made about £80 which I have already spent on xmas stuff from ebay lol.

I am going to have a look for more stuff to list soon, but don't have anything that will make as much I don't think. Every penny counts though I suppose.

dizzyday07 · 01/09/2011 20:39

I have sold quite a few of my bits - not for very many ££ each - but just noticed that my Last 60 days total thingy stands at £84.44 which even after you take my sister's £15 off is pretty good! :)

bilblio · 02/09/2011 01:12

I've just had an email to say it's free listings again this weekend.

I like your scheduling trick dinosaur. I installed Turbolister ages ago to help me list and format things nicely. It's so much easier to use than the general ebay lister. But if you use it on free weekends you still have to pay.

I've sold a couple more things so far this week. Which means that so far I'll have sold £20.99 worth of stuff in 2 weeks and I've spent £10.00 Blush

Must get some more things listed this weekend. I'm going to have a sort out of shoes tomorrow (today) and list some of them I think as well as my Mum's vintage '60's handbags.

acsec · 02/09/2011 10:22

Ok, lots of stuff listed here.

I'm sure I can find more to sell but going out in 40mins and still unshowered in pjs!!

LaWeasel · 02/09/2011 15:38

Right, we're taking a load of bulky unsellable stuff to the tip tomorrow, only thing I'm unsure about it a car seat... it was in an accident and replaced on the insurance, no obvious damage but I know nothing about these things so happy to make sure no one else uses it.

Do you think there's any point taking off the straps/cover and putting them up as spares?

dizzyday07 · 02/09/2011 16:52

acsec - I love your Roxy trainers!

LaWeasel - If the car seat is a popular make then selling the covers is a good idea. Don't know about the straps though

acsec · 02/09/2011 17:09

dizzy so do I, but alas they squash my massive feet! I wore them for a couple of hours around the house and had to take them off :(

acsec · 02/09/2011 17:11

added some more things here. If anything sits in one place too long it's going on ebay! Watch out DP when you get home and on the PS3!

deemented · 02/09/2011 17:16

Free listing weekend this weekend when you starts things at a £ or more!

acsec · 02/09/2011 17:18

I know Dee I'm annoyed as I just listed loads of stuff today :(

dizzyday07 · 02/09/2011 17:45

Just realised that it's free listing too so going to upload DD's Rainbows Uniform (as I need to buy a Brownie one), her tap shoes and the Heeleys she got last Christmas and has never worn!

DecapitatedLegoman · 04/09/2011 07:09

Well I've got a few things ending today, some with bids and a pair of boots which I'm hoping will do quite well. I've also photographed quite a few other things but just need peace to list them! Need to get them on today while it's free.

To whoever said they rarely start listings at 99p, thank you. It's a good point and since taking that tip I've sold for more and had less faffing around packing and posting things for a pittance. I hadn't thought it through before now and I'm really grateful :)

dizzyday07 · 04/09/2011 08:53

Decapitated - A friend told me that if you don't have time for a full listing - just do what she called a "trial" listing. Just pick a category, write something like TRIAL LISTING DO NOT BID in the title, in the description box write the same again adding DETAILS TO FOLLOW, then do a starting price of something high (say £50) so nobody will be silly enough to bid on it!

Then you can go back when you have a bit more time and REVISE the listing - to include proper description, start price, postage costs etc

DecapitatedLegoman · 04/09/2011 09:07

Thanks for that - good idea!

It's a beautiful day here. Hope it's lashing rain everywhere else - I want my watchers to be indoors, bored and bidding! Grin

bilblio · 04/09/2011 11:17

It was me who said about listing for more than 99p. Mainly because I can't be bothered selling things for 99p either. If they're worth so little I'll Freegle them or send them to the charity shop.

Sold a couple more things last night. Got loads finishing today but I suspect I'll be relisting them for weeks. I've dropped the price once but I'll wait a while before dropping again. They're not the kind of thing everyone would want.

A question for you all... I sold some perfume last night, having got the address through I've realised the buyer lives about 5 miles away, and I pass there quite often. I've charged £4 for postage, (it's a big bulky box) and she's paid already. I'm really tempted though to contact her and say I'll refund her, £3? and drop it off.
Does this sound reasonable?

DecapitatedLegoman · 04/09/2011 12:17

I'd be happy with that bilblio. And thanks for the 99p tip :)

mogs0 · 04/09/2011 12:20

I was going to start listing tomorrow. My new working hours mean I will have 2 1/2 hours free two mornings a week and this is going to become my regular ebaying time.

As it's free listing this weekend, I'm going to list a double buggy today.

I usually list everything at 99p and have, in previous years, made quite a bit of money in the couple of months before Christmas.

I've done a couple of car boot sales recently which cleared a fair amount of clutter but there is so much stuff in bags waiting to be ebayed that I really have to get it sorted! So I'm hoping that my eBaying mornings will get me into a good habit of getting a fair few things listed each week.

Ds is currently organising the playmobil mansion and furniture ready to go on in a few weeks. I couldn't believe how much they were selling for last Christmas.
