Post your listings and questions here. The purpose is to raise money for Christmas and I'll start by showing my (so far) meagre listings here

Hi ladies would any of you like to look at my stuff ?www.ebay.co.uk/sch/dyzzidi/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562

dyzzidi · 08/10/2011 23:34

I am going to add a load more over the next few days!

Tortoise · 09/10/2011 10:07

All my items end tonight, not doing well at all Sad.

notcitrus · 09/10/2011 12:19

I'll be doing well to break £20 tonight, but most of my items end Tuesday - 24 watchers just on the futon...

I just ordered mailing bags and they turned up in under 24 hours from Ebay seller allpacksolutions, so that'll be useful. Time to put shedloads of old jiffybags on Freecycle...

After selling my first items I gave up on receipts as they only add to postage, and just message the buyer confirming it's been posted and please leave feedback to confirm it's been delivered safely and please contact me first with any problem. I only put one in if I think the item might risk getting customs fees and I want to prove it's 2nd hand and cheap.

Plan this afternoon is to smash up hideous wardrobes in the old spare room, now we can get to them, which should be therapeutic. :)

Carrotsandcelery · 09/10/2011 14:17

I am not doing too well on the sales front. I have 2 bids and quite a few watchers on a pair of jodhpurs and a boden towelling beach dress, otherwise there is not much happening and time is running out.

The inflated prices on my wii games don't seem to be successful. Do you think I should lower my price or let the listing run its 30 days and then see if they sell better nearer Christmas?

Tortoise there might still be a last minute bidding war

dizzyday07 · 09/10/2011 15:36

I have 16 things finishing today and single bids on about 5 of them - but a fair few watchers - so here's hoping!

JarethTheGoblinKing · 09/10/2011 20:13

Lots more listen tonight... here

(why does it take so damn long to list things?

Do my listings look OK? Not done clothes before and not sure if the pricing is right?

Carrotsandcelery · 09/10/2011 20:19

I have listed another pile of kids clothes tonight, they finish this time next week. Now the wait to see if anyone bites.

Carrotsandcelery · 09/10/2011 20:21

Jareth the photos of the clothes are clear and look appealing. I have no idea about prices I am afraid. You have reminded me to go through the dressing up box and list all the outgrown costumes. It is definitely the season for that one!

JarethTheGoblinKing · 09/10/2011 20:25

Carrots - thank you, I do try and spend time on the photos :)
(might not spend quite as long on the actual listing as I should do though)

We have a couple of other costumes to sell - I wonder if I can persuade DS to part with his Hamleys pirate costume Confused

JarethTheGoblinKing · 09/10/2011 20:26

Will I get lynched for Per Una owenership Wink

Tortoise · 09/10/2011 21:01

Bed failed to sell again.
BMX ended on £70 so just hit reserve and sold although I see the buyers address is cornwall and I'm in Somerset. Seems long way for collection!
Most items unsold.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 09/10/2011 21:12

Tortoise :(

Have you tried gumtree for the bed? Would you mind linking (I am v nosy)

I've got a feeling most of my lot will be unsold next week, bar the Next jeans and the maternity stuff :(

Mousey84 · 09/10/2011 21:14

Argh, someone has spolit my 100% feedback by claiming the brand new item with tags was actually used! The buyer made no contact at all prior to leaving feedback. Do I have any comeback here?

Carrotsandcelery · 09/10/2011 22:11

Tortoise maybe they have a relative close by or are coming that way for some reason. Shock Bad luck on the bed. How many times have you listed it? Is it worth trying again?

Something I listed at 8.30 ish has a bid already and there are a couple of watchers on that stuff already. I am trying not to get too hopeful though as it seems slow at the moment.

Mousey Sad I don't know but someone on this thread will.

Jareth positive mental attitude please. Smile

JarethTheGoblinKing · 09/10/2011 22:14

Mousey - contact ebay about unfair feedback. Presumably the pictures show tags attached?

fergoose · 09/10/2011 22:21

eBay will only remove feedback if it breaks their rules

pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-removal.html

you can leave follow up to it - have you emailed the buyer to see what their problem is?

Mousey84 · 09/10/2011 23:19

A brand new denim skirt (Bluezoo, so not a cheap brand) is apparently bobbly! I have never seen any denim item go bobbly. It has tags attached, and photo shows that.

Ive emailed buyer to ask if perhaps the feedback was intended for a different item as I had not heard anything from them to say they were unhappy (item was posted a month ago) and the skirt was BN and checked before listing.

My rating is still high and feedback is otherwise glowing, so hopefully it wont put too many people off, but I KNOW the item was fine when it left here so Im very annoyed and a tad upset!

They bought two items and left good feedback for the other one.

fergoose · 09/10/2011 23:41

that sounds very odd

If they agree you can send them a feedback revision form - otherwise leave follow up 'sorry you are not happy, I wish you had contacted me for a refund'

or something along those lines.

Mousey84 · 09/10/2011 23:44

thanks - im sure its a mistake, but if they dont respond Ill def take your advice on feedback. :)

Tortoise · 10/10/2011 00:00

Bmx being picked up by local grandparents.
Bed listed 4 times now I think. Always has watchers. 6 this time!
Tried ad in post office and putting it on local Facebook for sale page.
I've looked at gumtree but found it a bit confusing. Will have to have another look.
Can't link as on phone but scroll down page for link. Should show up on completed listings.

dizzyday07 · 10/10/2011 08:36

Made @ £65 (before fees etc) last night - but there was a climbing frame accessory which sold for half of that! Just hope my mailing bags arrive today then I can get them all posted off

mogs0 · 10/10/2011 09:30

My p&t has a bid, woohoo!! It has quite a few watchers so i'm hoping it gets a few more bids. Although, i think i have almost convinced myself that i'll be happy with its current bid - but secretly hoping it skips passed its original BIN price Grin.

I've got a bid on nearly all my other listings too so finders crossed they end well tomorrow and weds.

CristinadellaPizza · 10/10/2011 09:39

What is the deal with watchers? I have 16 of them on one of my items - will any of them actually bid??

I have also had a request for postage costs to Croatia dizzy - wonder if it's the same person?

HalleLouja · 10/10/2011 10:29

Can i join? I made over £100 last week selling a Bumbo, sling, buggy board connectors and carrycot for Phil and Teds. Still chasing payment for Bumbo and it sold last Sunday. Logged a complaint and was promised payment.

Have now put some baby clothes on but not holding my breath. Will link when on laptop later
