Post your listings and questions here. The purpose is to raise money for Christmas and I'll start by showing my (so far) meagre listings here

Well I doubt I'll be able to get £350 by xmas then :(

Tortoise · 30/09/2011 12:51

Hopefully now my account is back to normal, I will be able to make use of free listing.
Still have DS2s high sleeper to sell.

GossipWitch · 30/09/2011 16:00

Does it just have to be ebay?

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 30/09/2011 16:30

Gossip - no, I think any way of making some money for Christmas is good and finding an alternative to ebay is always a good thing :)

Gossip I had a 10 items per 31 days limit until I linked my bank account to my paypal account. Then they increased it massively. Go to paypal, through ebay and look for the link in blue print.

I have included the money I made in a local sale (£40 ish) in my £110 so far total.

Good luck with it Gossip. I started small and built it up.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 30/09/2011 16:54

And to be fair, the £350 was a figure I plucked out of the air based on what I needed to make, so anything you make is good news :)

Darn you Dino - I was thinking you were gonna pull a super " Heres how to do christmas for 20 people for just £350" plan out of your hat once we had all hit our target.... ;)

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 30/09/2011 17:56

He he Mouse - I may well do that too given enough time!

I still haven't taken any more photos - busy all day today and tomorrow is mad too.

I did offer the buyer a refund on the jacket and asked her to return it 2nd class recorded. I think she's mad - it will have cost her around £7 in postage for nothing. Oh well.

lljkk · 30/09/2011 18:29

More fool me, (sigh). I listed a snowsuit. Yes, A SNOWSUIT on auction to end this Sunday even. In the middle of the biggest September-October heatwave for the last 50 years (or whatever).

Anybody want to quote me odds on it getting No Bids whatsoever? Grin At least that means I can relist it in late November or so.

Mousey84 · 30/09/2011 18:31

Dino - you could sell it on ebay as an "information product" ;)

Tortoise · 30/09/2011 19:16

lljkk you could cancel the listing if you are worried about it not selling or not getting many bids.

Seabright · 30/09/2011 20:15

I've got a bid! Hooray! Am stupidly excited (can you tell?).

It's only £2.50, but it's a start!

GossipWitch · 30/09/2011 23:00

what size is the snow suit?

lljkk · 01/10/2011 04:38

I have never cancelled an auction, tis a new world!
How would I do that, what button to press?
Do I pay listing fees again if I cancel now & want to relist in 6 weeks' time?
2 watchers, no bids... but at least one of my other auctions has got 18 watchers on it :).

GossipWitch it's nominally size 12-18 months but I found it came up bigger & maybe better described as size 18-24 months. All explained in the listing, blardeblar. It's not a very very warm one, might suit somebody in Scotland this week, though. :)

lljkk · 01/10/2011 04:41

Never mind, I took the leap and cancelled it! Will relist in 6weeks or so.
Thanks for the tip. I feel a bit scummy for cancelling like that, but think I had to given the circumstances!

garlicslutty · 01/10/2011 04:59

placemark

Tortoise · 01/10/2011 20:38

My stuff ends tomorrow. Not doing well so far. Puppets have none or 1 watcher. Some have a bid. Thought they would do better than that. Will be gutted if they sell for 99p.

beararse · 01/10/2011 20:47

Happy with my stuff just now, a few bids and a fair number of watchers. One or two things won't sell (baby clothes are not selling as well as they used to IMO).

Unfortunately we're leaving to go away next week even earlier then anticipated so it looks like unless they all pay pronto I'll be taking a load of parcels with me ... Hmm

mogs0 · 01/10/2011 20:55

I have finally got round to listing...wait for it... one item Grin.

I'm planning more but wanted to get this on while it's free listing!

mogs0 · 01/10/2011 20:59

Tortoise - I have a mid-sleeper to sell but not sure if I can get ds' bedroom tidy enough to take photos that do it justice before the end of tomorrow - it's a big task! Also, not sure what price to start it at - it's a Thuka and comes with chest of drawers, bookcase and desk. Ds has chosen which bed he'd like to replace it but I haven't thought about ordering it or where his clothes/books/toys will go...maybe this isn't the right weekend to put it on ebay.

Tortoise · 01/10/2011 21:22

I didn't get very good photos. Small room so couldn't get the whole bed in! Listed 3 times now I think. On bin £70. Thinking auction this time but feel its worth at least £60.

mogs0 · 01/10/2011 21:37

Ah, ok. I was thinking of starting ds' at £50 but have seen similar go recently for £200+. I suppose it depends what area you live and who is looking for one at a particular time.

mogs0 · 01/10/2011 21:39

And another Grin

I've got 2 watchers on the buggy already - although, I am aware that it could be other P&T sellers checking out the competition!

Tortoise · 01/10/2011 21:54

link to my items.
DS's bed isn't anything special so not worth a huge amount but it is good quality for a metal high sleeper. It doesn't squeak like cheap one ds1 had!

Also have a BN BMX to sell! Really want £100+ for it so probably safer to pay out for BIN but that might put bidders off!
It wasn't collected by company bought from, the front fork was slightly bent and front wheel wouldn't go on. But i got it mended and its perfect now. (Had already bought replacement for DD2's birthday as needed it and that one was last in stock at that company)
