Post your listings and questions here. The purpose is to raise money for Christmas and I'll start by showing my (so far) meagre listings here

Decapitated I hate those creepy reborn dolls. So very odd!

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 22:13

Jareth I can't see any obvious errors. I am a newbie though so see what the others think.

oopslateagain · 20/09/2011 22:33

Jareth the boots are gorgeous! Not my size... Sad If I'm watching things like this, I rarely bid until the day the auction ends - I wait to see if they're going to be bid out of my price range before I start to get my hopes up! Fingers crossed for you.

Those dolls are WEIRD. In a not-very-nice way.

DL I love my scales too, but my digital ones are so much more practical! Grin

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 22:36

What are those dolls for?? eeek!

Millie1 · 20/09/2011 22:50

Thank you Decapitated - yes it is a genuine Grobag. That sounds a great price - hadn't thought it would be worth that. Sadly, the Spanish person has now bid so maybe it would be bad form to put a buy it now price on at this stage.

Jareth - your boots listing looks great - hope you get some bids soon.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 20/09/2011 23:19

Thanks all, glad to know it's not the listing.

I do have 15 watchers... I hope they go for a decent amount. Am hoping for £40+ Confused

DecapitatedLegoman · 21/09/2011 01:27

Millie, once an item has bids you can't add Buy it Now anyway so that solves your problem!

MustControlFistOfDeath · 21/09/2011 07:46

Dino You're welcome Smile

Tortoise · 21/09/2011 07:52

Jareth I think once you get one bid more will follow!

Byeckerslike · 21/09/2011 08:27

millie1 can you link to your thingsvplease, im looking for grobags? :)

Tortoise · 21/09/2011 09:33

Grin woooo woooo! Just had some brilliant news! Ebay emailed to say I have improved so no longer have limits on my account! Lots of listing to do ASAP! Grin

Millie1 · 21/09/2011 11:19

Well done Tortoise!

Byeckerslike here you go

Carrotsandcelery · 21/09/2011 11:21

That's great Tortoise - we will both be flooding ebay with our loot.

I have listed 3 more items this morning.

I still have loads to put on.

How does everyone get on if they post loads in one day? Does it cause a problem at the packing and posting stage?

Tortoise · 21/09/2011 12:35

For me, I don't have much trouble with posting and getting packaged up. My problem is affording the postage for it all. If I had ink in my printer I could use the money in paypal and print postage if need be.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 21/09/2011 12:51

I think the most we've packed and posted in one go was just before Christmas last year when we sold 40 things in one night and had to pack and post 35 of them the next day! It took me and DH our whole evening as neither of us was around in the day to do it and I wouldn't want to do it again! These days we try not have more than 20 things per day.

Mind you, I remember we got through watching a lot of our long list of recorded TV that night :)

Tortoise - that's brilliant news, am very relieved for you. How long did it take altogether to get it lifted? Seems like ages to me, sure it seems even longer to you.

OP posts:
Carrotsandcelery · 21/09/2011 13:06

Thank you - I think I will stop posting for today incase everyone pays at once and I end up in a flap.

Tortoise · 21/09/2011 14:42

Dinosaurs I'm not sure. Think was around March time so 6 long months!

Mass photo taking done! Will have to end items mid week because I just want to get on and list things! Few items scheduled for later. All school uniform bundles.

Byeckerslike · 21/09/2011 15:58

Thankyou :)

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 21/09/2011 16:13

Here are current listings from me, ending tonight, tomorrow and Sunday and I've managed to get an additional 25 things scheduled to start Sunday evening - everything I have to sell is done :) MY EBAY LISTINGS

I was ecstatic, especially as I've managed to pack and prepare every item as I've gone along this time, but then... I heard from my mum and a friend who between them have another 30 things for me to list :(

dizzyday07 · 21/09/2011 18:01

Think I am going to list a pile of DD's outgrown books - Charlie & Lola, Usborne Farm, Dora, WTP etc.

oopslateagain · 21/09/2011 18:35

I have persuaded DH to let me sell his stupid collection of Haynes Manuals FOR CARS WE HAVE NEVER OWNED!

Why? Confused

I am going to take great pleasure in photographing and listing them. Do you think there is enough time for people to see them if I list them tomorrow to end on Sunday?

fergoose · 21/09/2011 18:48

Why don't you do a 5 day listing instead - I find beginning of the week better than Sundays for ending listings to be honest.

Tortoise · 21/09/2011 19:16

23 items scheduled for listing.
Pile looked huge, sort of disappointed that it turned out to be just 23 items! lots more to do but don't want too many ending at once.

Honeydragon · 21/09/2011 19:19

I've got loads of clothes to bundle and do a 10 day listing for. I've lost my kitchen table under the heap Sad

Thanks to my boots my last listings made £150 after fees Smile

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 21/09/2011 20:45

Oops - TBH I'd go for 10 days starting (tomorrow) Thursday evening and ending on Sunday 2nd October - monthly pay for most people will be Friday 30th September so it's good for both exposure and price/payment :)

If you can't wait for the money then I'd go for 3 days tomorrow or 5 days tomorrow as Fergoose says, there's not much between Sunday/Monday on a short listing IME.
