Post your listings and questions here. The purpose is to raise money for Christmas and I'll start by showing my (so far) meagre listings here

Only a few hours left on my listings.
Waterproof is Upto £6.63!
Not much interest in anything else!

Mousey84 · 19/09/2011 20:15

Listed a few more bits over the weekend here, though wish Id had the time to list everything I had, just to get it all out of the way. oh well, Ill just hang on til next free listing day and relist everything that hasnt sold, plus the other 20 odd things Ive found.

Voodoo - Im listing everything - sometimes even though there are 20 other items at 99p mine sells because someone has looked at something else Ive listed and decided to buy a few items together. For this reason, Im trying to upload lots at a time, in the hope that if I even make 50p profit on each, its 50p I didnt have before :)

If its 99p or less you can list it for free (up to 100 a month) and then they have free listing days - its worth listing everything.

Carrotsandcelery · 19/09/2011 20:25

From my very limited experience it is definitely worth listing everything. Buyers go mad for what I would have thought was a less "special" item and things which I thought were beautiful and in great condition don't go so well.

Don't judge for yourself, just list honestly and see what happens.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 19/09/2011 20:31

Mousey84 - just sent you a question about the wrap top, it looks lovely Grin

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 19/09/2011 20:34

Listed some more stuff tonight and still got about 20 more things to go on this week, should all be done by end of the day tomorrow, yay.

My stuff

Dino I've just bid on your Santa, hope I win him! Smile

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 19/09/2011 21:56

Must - look out for the reindeer tomorrow night :)

MustControlFistOfDeath · 19/09/2011 22:02

Will do, but Santas are more my thing Grin
Got any others hanging around in the chimney ?

Tortoise · 19/09/2011 22:04

Im sure we have one of those Santas somewhere! Think I sold all the others last Christmas.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 19/09/2011 22:08

Sorry, no more Santa's here :(

Thanks Millie the gentle reminder prompted one buyer to pay up. The other messaged me to say she is waiting for a cheque to clear. It is only for £2 so I will not get too uptight about it.

I STILL haven't linked my bank account so STILL can't list anymore - very annoying. I should be near a bank today (there isn't one in our village) so should be able to get the necessary details to make the connection and get going again.

I am just trying to psyche myself up to photograph everything now while it is sunny as they don't turn out so well when the lights are on in the room I take them in.

How are the rest of you getting on? Any sales?

voodoomunkee · 20/09/2011 11:55

Right, I am determined to sit down tonight and list some stuff!!!

Machin11 · 20/09/2011 12:09

Hi carrots

I had a BN Body shop body butter that someone asked about Buy it now, I offered it for £5.50 and she snapped it up! One thing sold, only 9 more on, but it's a start!

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 20/09/2011 13:14

I've sold 9 things since the weekend, more ending tonight and then I'm going back to ending everything on a Sunday evening I think - easier for me to keep on top of, and I've proven to myself that Sunday is definitely the most profitable day to end listings.

I've made £100 in the last month so still a way to go and after this week will have seriously run out of things to list!

Apologies for my rogue apostrophe in Santas up there ^

And MustControlFistOfDeath - thank you very much :)

I listed 35 items (clothing) on the free listing weekend, taking advantage of Dino's scheduling trick. The only thing is, I've put them on for 10 days as I didn't want them ending on Sunday with The X Factor and Downton on TV. Suppose I could have had the items finish at 7pm-ish.
Going to list all the toys I've put aside this week.
I have 16 watchers over the 35 items already so fingers crossed.
I have DD4's birthday, niece's bday, my own bday and my mam's 60th in the 6 weeks before xmas, then new year and DD1's birthday the week after it. Haven't even started shopping for any of those!

Tortoise · 20/09/2011 16:36

Sold a couple of items last night.
Will re-list unsold items and list some more items.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 18:54

I have finally sorted out the bank business and I am now allowed to sell 100 items a month. That should keep me going. I am disproportionately excited about this. I took loads of photos today in the good light so I will post a few things this evening.

I thought after 8 might be the best time - would nearer 9 be better do you think?

Tortoise · 20/09/2011 20:32

I've just re-listed all unsold items. Too tired to do any more tonight.
I normally aim to list between 8 and 9.30.

oopslateagain · 20/09/2011 20:55

I just listed a load of bits, lots of handbags, boots and toiletries plus my lovely vintage kitchen scales - a bit worried about those as the postage is £8.50 but they weigh a ton with the weights too! list here

They're ending Sunday evening, it was a toss-up whether to time them for X-Factor or Downton Abbey, but I figure there's more 'dead time' in X-Factor so they're all ending between 8 and 8:30 using Dinosaur's tip.

Carrotsandcelery · 20/09/2011 21:05

Thanks Tortoise - I have listed a few more tonight from 8.30 onwards but the last one wouldn't list and I am too tired to faff around with it tonight.

I shall put some more on tomorrow.

Millie1 · 20/09/2011 21:14

Carrots - well done! Glad the email has prompted payment and a response! Everyone seems to be doing well - and busy listing!

I've got the minimum bid on 3 items of 16. About 9 have watchers. The girl from Spain, after all the emails, never came back to my final suggestion of £4.85 for postage.

Actually, on that same Grobag - someone has just emailed asking would I consider a buy it now price. I have no idea what to ask. The listing has 6 watchers but that doesn't really mean anything. It's an age 3-6 yrs Grobag, brand new but has been unpacked and washed - DS moved to his bed before he grew into it. It's listed at £3.99. Any suggestions as to what would be a reasonable ask?

Thanks

DecapitatedLegoman · 20/09/2011 21:31

Millie, if it's a genuine Grobag I'd look for £15 anyway.
Oops your scales are beautiful, I would love them but DH would Hmm at me a lot ...

I've got a couple of items ending tonight, my snowsuit's gone a storm despite my cock-up in the listing, hope it doesn't bite me on the bum! Most of the rest of my gear isn't ending until next weekend so I get a breather. Need to make up some bundles though which means lots of fresh laundering (does anyone else do that?) and the weather has been such that I couldn't face extra washing :(

Good luck everyone :)

JarethTheGoblinKing · 20/09/2011 21:48

ARGH! less than 1 day to go on my boots, I've got LOTS of watchers and had loads of questions but nobody has bid of them yet.

Will hopefully turn out into an all out bidding war tomorrow night - they only really go properly when they start from zero

Grin

Can someone have a look at the listing for me (possibily a bit late) just in case there is some glaring omission that I've made?

here

DecapitatedLegoman · 20/09/2011 22:07

Looks good to me Jareth :)

I've just sold a baby outfit. Had a quick scan of the seller's feedback and OMG look what they sell Shock

I find them really creepy.

Tortoise · 20/09/2011 22:11

Jareth Listing looks fine. Maybe its because of start price, bidders may be waiting to see if anyone bids before they do. Bet bidding war will happen tomorrow! Good luck.
