Post your listings and questions here. The purpose is to raise money for Christmas and I'll start by showing my (so far) meagre listings here

Could the robot be this? Magnetix MagnaMan

No idea on the other one!

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 16/09/2011 18:22

LaWeasel - yes! Thank you so much - definitely like that in red - how did you find it? I've been googling images (with my random & obviously rubbish words) for 2 days!

LaWeasel · 16/09/2011 18:23

Just luck really, have seen those ball bearings before and remembered they were called magnetix. You can get construction kits in the same style.

LaWeasel · 16/09/2011 18:23

And you're welcome Grin

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 16/09/2011 18:37

Just the one pic left to identify - can anyone help? here

Tortoise · 16/09/2011 18:53

Looks interesting but I have no idea! Try bright minds website. Sort of got they might sell.

Tortoise · 16/09/2011 18:54

Toy not got!

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 16/09/2011 19:19

Few more things ending tonight and over the weekend - looking promising so far Grin

DecapitatedLegoman · 16/09/2011 19:54

Oooooooooh bollocks :(

I've stupidly made an error listing a used snowsuit as "New with defects". It's got a bid on it so I can't end it! I did say in the description that it was "used occasionally only" but as the category is wrong I really shouldn't let it run as it stands. Should I

A) cancel the bid, then cancel the listing, then email the bidder to explain, then relist?
B) email the bidder and explain, then cancel the bid/item and relist?
C) end it and sell to the current bidder if they are happy to accept it as it stands?

Confused
Tortoise · 16/09/2011 20:02

I would probably add a note to the description explaining that you clicked the wrong one and its not new with defects. Would also email bidder and give them the option to cancel bid (if they do then relist!)

£1.70 for BNWT H&M trousers? Bugrit Confused

DecapitatedLegoman · 16/09/2011 20:13

Great plan Tortoise - thanks. I couldn't think straight through the mists of blind panic and envisaged red negatives all over my feedback!

JarethTheGoblinKing · 16/09/2011 20:24

NO last minute bidding warz. I am most upset. Is it because the listings ended on a Friday? Confused

LaWeasel · 16/09/2011 20:30

Riiiight Blush

Okay. My broken Wii saga. After being deeply suspicious of the buyer (I think in fact that English just isn't their first language so their emails can seem a bit odd) And then blaming the shipping company...

It was my toddlers fault BlushBlush Between us getting the Wii out to check it and packing it all up to be sent she pushed a load of pennies inside. BlushBlush

My question now is, I'm still pissed off with the couriers for bashing around and putting a hole in the side of the parcel even if it turns out it didn't cause any damage after all... do I keep going with my compensation claim? I don't know what I'd be claiming compensation for?! Or should I just ask them to change it to a complaint? But then are they actually going to give a rat's arse about a complaint?

LaWeasel · 16/09/2011 20:32

x-post - I don't know? I guess more people are out on fridays...

Carrotsandcelery · 16/09/2011 22:01

I am a bit Blush Ebay went a bit crazy over my dds pyjamas and they sold for £6+ Do you ever get bids that seem a bit much for what you are selling.

I have posted off my first 3 parcels and I have 2 wrapped and labelled, just waiting for payment.

I have also relisted something that didn't sell. Are relistings always free or is just because it is a free listing weekend?

My total for week 1 in £33. I haven't posted any new items yet as we will be away next weekend so I will wait until Monday, so I am around to do the messy bit.

La Weasel How annoying! Can you get the pennies out and get it going again?

JarethTheGoblinKing · 16/09/2011 22:12

Despite a couple of disappointing results I'm at £59 for the first round. Getting a bit obsessed and in danger of eBaying anything that isn't nailed down

Machin11 · 16/09/2011 22:48

Hmmm, I saw the free listings weekend mentioned, but when I went on eBay I can only find the free listing weekend from the 19th and 20th March (very weird), can anyone put a link on for me please? or let me know what the criteria are?

Cheers
Emma

Tortoise · 16/09/2011 22:56

I have just remember that 2 buyers emailed me to ask me to send to a different address and I was in such a rush to package them up that I labelled with address from paypal page.
Is this going to cause me problems? Or was it good that I sent to address on paypal? Neither gave a reason why different address either.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 17/09/2011 08:58

Listings ending on a Friday or Saturday night generally go for far less - Sunday night is the best night, followed by Monday IME.

Tortoise - if they wanted them sent to a different address to Paypal then you shouldn't send them as you're not protected. When that's happened to me I've refunded the money by PayPal and asked them to add the alternative address to their PayPal account, sent another invoice and then they pay me again, that way I can send where they want and I'm protected.

I'd contact them and let them know you've sent to the PayPal address as otherwise you lose seller protection - see what they say.
