morning everyone, after having no internet connection yesterday afternoon I need to get my finger out today. I was hoping to get at least 100 items listed this weekend. I have sold a further 15 items which I am still waiting for payment on about 6 of them.
Some buyers do frustrate me ! I had a message yesterday asking if I would accept a BIN offer of £4.50 including postage for my item ? Errrmmmmm which item there were 85 listings at the time !! Confused
And I do think its a little cheeky to ask you to drop a price when the majority of my start prices are as low as 49p-99p. Some this weekend are a little higher as I have some items which my daughter never even used.
One buyer asked me to drop the price of a Gap Hoodie which I had started at £4.99, I declined and it has just sold for £7.50 ! woohoo Smile
Good luck with listings today everyone

I've just had a huge toy clear-out (and some bulky furniture).

Let's hope this link works: shop.ebay.co.uk/salamleila/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

Salam · 19/06/2011 16:46

Argh, you have to copy and paste, but then you get to my site.

DinosaursHateUnderpants · 20/06/2011 21:48

We sold 17 of 33 items last night, funniest thing is that a huge candle stand which has been listed and re-listed 12 times (starting price 99p, no reserve) sold last night for more than we paid for it! Which just goes to show, you never can tell what will sell when :)

moomoo1967 · 21/06/2011 12:59

Its mad isn't it, I put a pair of girls BHS pj's on at 0.10 and they went for £2.50 ! Not even a brand name like Disney or anything

JarethTheGoblinKing · 21/06/2011 18:21

Hmm, £86 so far but some of that was stuff I'd bought in to ebay, so prob more like £66 I think.

Got another playmo thing with a few days left to run, and a couple of tents scheduled to start on Thursday :)

Tortoise · 22/06/2011 12:49

Put DS2's high sleeper bed on today. Probably over priced it for BIN but have added best offer so the option to get it cheaper is there! Need it gone ASAP as new (2nd hand off Ebay) bed comes Friday!

moomoo No it wasn't. It took me to my own my Ebay page!

OP posts:
moomoo1967 · 23/06/2011 06:53

doh ! I can never get that right. got them to remove it incase it compromised my account. Will try again later. My seller name is amanda7774.
I am gutted got a negative feedback which has taken me down to 97.7% feedback. Why on earth didn't she contact me first ! She bought some pj's from me and hand on heart I know that I wouldn't have listed them if they had been soiled and I inspected them before listing and they were fine. I have emailed her saying that I will refund the money as a gesture of good will. Funnily enough she has thrown them away instead of sending them back to me. How can one negative take so much away from 100%.
I just hope it doesn't put people of buying from me, all the other feedback is excellent. What do you all think, would it put you off buying from a vendor or would you read the other comments ?

roosterroo · 23/06/2011 11:15

I wouldn't be put off - if there is a negative I would look at the comments firstSmile

Ds1 has gone to France this morning so have time to list shop.ebay.co.uk/lrud3454/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562

will be missing him later - it'll be far too quiet Grin

Tortoise · 23/06/2011 11:22

moomoo I wouldn't be put off by one neg. You can reply to it too. I also wouldn't be refunding with out item being returned!

I GIVE UP!!! Angry
Seller performance still below standard despite barely selling (have i sold anything in june?) anything in the last month. Listing limit reached despite only listing a bed yesterday. Now below standard for communication (as well as despatch) too despite me contacting as soon as items have been posted. What more can i do? I am totally pissed off and have had it with Ebay!!! Angry

moomoo1967 · 23/06/2011 13:41

Hi thanks Roosterroo and Tortoise those comments have made me feel a little better. I did reply "I inspected item B4 listing and was fine" not many characters to reply. I wish I hadn't refunded it now but it was 0500 this morning, she said she had to throw the item away on her comment. She is also the buyer whose Ebay address was in Birmingham but then her despatch address in Paypal was in Southern Ireland. I don't sell to buyers outside the UK so she got round it by bidding with an address in the UK ! Grrrrrrrrrrrr
Tortoise, sorry I can't offer any advice as I don't know the ins and outs of Ebay that well.
Have you tried any other auction sites like Ebid ?

moomoo1967 · 23/06/2011 13:42

Tortoise, are you able to "put your case" to Ebay for want of a better expression ?

Tortoise · 23/06/2011 13:52

Moomoo I have no idea TBH. I know there is a customer services number which i have used twice and got no where fast! Both time foreign person on other end of the phone, could barely understand me and were of no help at all!

OP posts:
moomoo1967 · 23/06/2011 13:55

There is an Ebay forum on www.moneysavingexpert.com that you could try, maybe someone there could help you

fergoose · 23/06/2011 14:30

your best bet is to ask on the ebay community pages themselves - loads of help and advice there

moomoo1967 · 23/06/2011 16:18

I have now sold since 21st May 79 items. I have 146 active listings with another 20 scheduled for tomorrow night. So far I think I have made approx £124.
I hope to get the listings up to 200 by Sunday and that still isn't all of my daughters clothes. No wonder I never have any money lol I spent it all on clothes for my daughter Smile

Tortoise · 24/06/2011 22:06

Thanks, will look on Ebay community.

4 Watchers on DS's bed now! Wonder if any of them actually want it? If they just made an offer they may be surprised and get it! DS's new bed is here now so old one has been taken apart and lent against a wall in his room! His room isn't big enough for it all. Hope bed sells this weekend!

It never fails to amaze me how well toys sell. By the looks of it I will sell everything this afternoon as I have many watchers and a few local people have already messaged me regarding pick-up, so I am quite confident there will be a bit of a bidding war at the end. Fingers crossed!

Salam · 26/06/2011 05:54

Tortoise, I have something similar. 4 watchers on a Vertbaudet desk, chair and toy box set, but nobody wants to make me an offer. Just try it, I'd accept anything at the moment as I really want it out of my way. It's taking up too much room.

Salam · 27/06/2011 06:34

I made £101 from selling toys this weekend!!! So pleased and most are local pick-up so cash in hand :) A few more running, so should get it to £150 soon.
