I've just noticed that my Dashboard says that I have 4 low counts for Items as described(how wrong can you go by putting the size, make and colour !) which takes me over the maximum of 3. It says my standard status is at risk, does anyone know what will happen at my next evaluation ? Will they stop me selling ?

Moomoo You will have selling restrictions like I have. Currently allowed 21 listings or upto certain value, about £75. Hopefully if my listings sell I can get ratings back up. I really dislike these DSRs, I don't think they work.

Tortoise, everything else is fine, just the items as described. I am getting totally fed up of Ebay and the disadvantages to sellers.

I have just had an email from a buyer saying that if she hadn't received her item(posted on 18th July) in the next couple of days that she will start up a dispute. WWUD - has anyone had any experience of this ? I know the post office will advise me to wait until 28 days is up before filling out loads of forms.
Getting so fed up of the stress all these buyers are causing me and cannot wait until all the items have been sold

an item is considered lost after 15 working days - did you send it recorded?

If it doesn't arrive in that time you will have to refund the buyer and claim from royal mail.

Fergoose no not recorded, I sent 11 items all on the same day, all first class and all the rest got there the next day so it is quite odd. She has since apologised for seeming snappy with me and said that she has been having problems recently with items not arriving.

ok - well tell her after 15 working days you will refund if it has not arrived - and then you claim from royal mail. Ask her to please check with neighbours, sorting office if possible.

It is a pain in the bum which is why I send everything recorded
even this is not fool proof.

A nice buyer e-mailed me to say that their postman had pushed a recorded parcel through the letter box with no signature :( she said the item was fab and was worried that it would look lost when I checked after it on the post office web site lovely lady.

tortoise do you send the buyers a message when you post the stuff?
and do you check the box in your ebay saying dspatched?

I know it is a pain but I also add the tracking info to paypal payment and they get an e-mail with this on too.

Sorry Tortoise, I don't want to think about Christmas either, but couldn't think of anything more significant and lengthy enough between now and end of year!

And we've sold over 20 things tonight so I reckon the tumble-weed August theory is defunct so long as you do 10 or 7 days listings ending at the right time on a Sunday or Monday evening in August.

Go for it - and post your link on the new thread - I'm determined to link our stuff each week from now on and keep the thread bumped - I've been very lazy of late but am determined to get back on to it. I managed to get 40 things listed a week ago when I put my mind to it and have set that as my goal because I know that I can do it - my goal is to have an almost empty spare bedroom with only re-listings in it and a couple of new things each week. So far I'm on track with only 5 things left to be photographed for next weeks listings - they'll be done tomorrow night. I'm trying to think of running our eBay sales as a business now and imagining a boss breathing down my neck! And I'm fully using the automated re-listing option on ebay which is making life easier.
