Awe pickle the whole tracking thing is tough, I have been tracking with opks for a few months but never quite sure if its positive or not. Have now sprung for some digital ones so I can be sure. I tried the temperature but mine just seemed to be all over the place

HopingForALittleOne · 25/02/2017 18:39

Hey pickle I feel for you I'm currently testing for surge and then panicked incase i got it this morning as fc closed tomorrow. Luckily it's getting there but not quite surge.

I was definitely more stressed about this last month in case I missed it. Still feeling relaxed at the moment but only Cd13 - give me a couple more days and if no surge I'll probably be crying again!

I don't test temperature so can't help there. Annoyingly stress might cause delay so try and keep yourself occupied. Xx

karen how are we silently doing over there?

miri good luck with move to ivf and new clinic xx

HopingForALittleOne · 25/02/2017 18:45

stork I was reading back through some of the older threads and I think it was you who put a pic of your dog - a cockapoo?

hoping I'm ok. Just crossing my fingers. No bleeding, so I guess that is good. I wish I knew what my hcg levels were. I will go on Wednesday for a blood test. I'm tired. Found my peanut butter in the fridge last night, not where I keep it at all.

Is that your dog? Very cute. :). I put up pictures of my dogs. Molly is a golden retriever pup, currently 16 weeks old, a and a 3 year old westie poo.

HopingForALittleOne · 25/02/2017 19:38

Great karen my fingers staying firmly crossed. I remember nearly crying when you sadly lost your last dog and the picture of your new dog was adorable. I sure stork put a pic up of a brown cockapoo though?!

Yes picture is of my little angel and first baby Sophie. I got her when my mum had breast cancer a few years ago as it was horrible coming home alone to an empty house after seeing mum and going hospital etc. Don't know where I would be without her

INeedNewShoes · 25/02/2017 19:38

Karen - Wednesday must seem like an absolute age away! I won't ask whether you've tested again, but if you have been and you are seeing a progression of gradually darker lines I think you can allow yourself to feel a little bit hopeful Smile Try to keep yourself busy and distracted... or just watch feel-good films and eat chocolate Grin

Karendvm · 25/02/2017 19:59

shoes I'm binge watching fringe. Going to make a cup of jot chocolate and snuggle under a blanket. It's a cold windy day. I haven't tested again. I don't feel like I have been able to hold my urine long enough to be sure my hcg is concentrated.

hoping Sophie is very cute! I don't know what I would do with my dogs. I miss Moe and jack every day, they have left a huge hole in my heart. Try not to think about it too much. Need to focus on happy feelings right now.

HopingForALittleOne · 25/02/2017 20:06

Oops sorry karen yes pma - hot chocolate sounds just right for binge watching xxx

StorkAhoy · 25/02/2017 20:15

Mines a toy poodle hoping, but close enough!

Karendvm · 25/02/2017 20:35

Nothing to be sorry about hoping. Moe and jack were my dogs I lost last year. Presley and Molly are the two left. Might just have a nap now. Molly is napping and I looks like a great idea!

Since we're talking about fur babies, this is mine - Tessie. She's 6 this year; my parents bought her for me when I was going through tough times with my mental health... She's been the best recovery. Don't know what I'd do without her. They're really the best, aren't they?

Good luck with the clinic move Miri. Hopefully everything will go smoothly

Pickle, I know that testing for LH surges can be stressful but I echo what somebody else has said (can't remember who, sorry!), that stress can sometimes delay it. It's still early days - maybe you've had a slight shift this month for some reason. Our bodies aren't meant to work like clockwork... Would be easier if they did, but unfortunately they don't Sad

Hello everyone else Smile

I love Tessie! X

Karendvm · 25/02/2017 23:14

Tessie is adorable!

MiriAmmerman · 26/02/2017 08:18

Tessie is so cute Caution - and I remember your pics of Molly from a previous thread Karen. However, I'm afraid I can't allow the dogs to steal all the glory. This is our Beatrice ❤

Karendvm · 26/02/2017 09:51

Lovely cat miri!

pickle162 · 26/02/2017 10:08

Beatrice and all the other animals are gorgeous. I haven't got any pets at mo but last pet was an indoor house bunny 🐰

INeedNewShoes · 26/02/2017 10:11

I don't have any pets either Pickle - unless you class the spindly spiders that love my house!

I'd love to have a cat one day but I'm a bit allergic to both cats and dogs so I'd have to choose carefully!

pickle162 · 26/02/2017 10:15

Wait for next delivery to come-betweeen 10-6....I had no plans to move from the sofa today but something about waiting in for something is torturous (we should be pros at waiting,I think we will never want to wait for anything ever again)

pickle162 · 26/02/2017 10:18

lol yes if we are counting spiders as pets I have lots of them. I have specific one that lives in the basket in the downstairs bathroom.
I've always wanted a cat since our family cat died (20 odd years ago) but I quite like not having to get home for anything, can go away for weekend without really thinking. Obviously having a baby will be bigger commitment but in a different way

INeedNewShoes · 26/02/2017 10:26

I had a cat growing up too and, like you, I would love a cat and would have got one when I moved into this house (4 years ago) but I go away for weekends so often and would have struggled to afford cattery fees on top of pet insurance, food etc. and would have felt guilty leaving cat in a cattery too often.

I think babies are more portable than pets (if you ignore all the clobber that has to travel with them!). Its generally socially acceptable to go and stay with someone and take baby with you, where as not all hosts would appreciate you turning up with your dog, and most cats get distressed traveling.

Snorkmaiden85 · 26/02/2017 10:30

Aww miri, Beatrice looks a bit like my Ellie!

Pets are so great, Ellie helped me loads in the aftermath of my break up. I worry a bit that she'll never get over it if I have a baby - she's terrified of my nephews! But hopefully she'll adjust.

Such beautiful dogs too, I'd like a dog one day, a whippet or a wire haired fox terrier Smile

I also have a 'pet' spider! It lives by my front door and I used to be scared of it, but now I've become weirdly fond of it and get concerned if I don't see it for a few days!

INeedNewShoes · 26/02/2017 10:35

Snork - don't get too attached to your pet spider. I had a spider that lived by the front door (mahoosive one at that) and would creep out of this little hole every so often to scare the hell out of me (I used to be very phobic but miraculously realised one day that I could actually cope). Then one day when I hadn't seen him for a few weeks I found him squashed under the doormat Sad

Beautiful cat Smile I'm sure Ellie will make it known at first that she's not impressed with a baby turning up (its amazing the way that cats pointedly turn their back on you!) but will get over it and they might end up being friends!

I really must stop procrastinating and get on with my work...

Snorkmaiden85 · 26/02/2017 10:40

shoes and pickle, it does definitely affect your flexibility with things like going away. This is where staying friends with my ex definitely turned out to be a good plan, he misses Ellie loads and loves to cat sit her when I go away, so I'm very lucky in that regard! And I know she's with someone who loves her and that she trusts.

Even so it does make it harder to be spontaneous. But it can also be a useful excuse for going home or not staying longer than you want to!

witchmountain · 26/02/2017 11:12

Loving the animal pics and a good dose of patchwork too, I used to like doing that with my Granny.

Tygr if you've found the new thread I'm doing some filing and have my LWC full price list if you want to see anything on it.

Kwick hope you're hanging in there ok. Funny you should mention walking the cat, last time I took him to the vets the vet suggested he might quite enjoy it. When he gets to the vets he hops out of his basket, rubs his face against the vet and then has a good look round the surgery room, jumping onto counters etc. I assume most cats just cower and look unhappy.

CautionHormone · 26/02/2017 11:56

Thank you all Grin I'm obviously biased but Tessie really is beautiful, and like I said previously, she's been great for my MH recovery - she's more like my little best friend!
Aww, Miri & Snork, your cats are beautiful! I've never actually thought of getting a cat; I don't think I've ever needed too because Tessie is enough on her own... If that makes sense?

Pickle I hate waiting in for deliveries!! Especially when they give you such a big time slot Hmm it's so annoying!!
