Has anyone chosen to be the non-resident parent after separation?

Has anyone given the kids to the dad and decided to be the NRP? I would do this if it was an option but he wouldn’t have them so sadly it isn’t. I know it’s controversial but I would happily be the NRP. Has anyone done this?

Yes, interesting how the more freedom and autonomy women gained through the law, education and employment, the more intense mothering became.

I'm sure correlations are complicated but using childcare obligations as a way to trap and disempower women is likely one factor.

I don't agree with this.

Maternal hormones from pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding reinforces bonding and as more mothers are the primary caregivers, children are usually more attached to their mums. Of course children are emotionally attached to their fathers too, especially if they are actively involved with their caregiving.
