How does it feel tone in here?

I'm just pooling around on my iPad, wasting time, when I realized that Dadsnet is in the club section of mn and wondered how people felt about that?

Would it be more relevant to be in the parenting section, or does there even need to be a separate section?

Just curious, really, but it sort of feels like being a Dad is some kind of hobby group you might sign up to on a Thursday evening, when I suspect that really it's part of everyday life.

Have you posted on any other thread today that your post was deleted on?

MrGin · 17/08/2012 13:35

Didn't we tell you ? One post in DadsNet and your tainted I tells ya, tainted !

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 17/08/2012 13:35

Marks place, hoping MrGin's suggestion that that thread will eventually reveal itself to be a map of the male brain, when printed out and property arranged, will in fact work Wink

The deletions are confusing me too after reading the thread from beginning to end Grin

TheDreadedFoosa · 17/08/2012 13:35

Kicktheguru, email hq and ask for an explanation.
But you pretty much admitted to trolling and your posts, just on this thread, have seemed rather like an attempt provoke dadsnet posters to join in with derogatory comments. How i read it anyway. Luckily your comments have been mostly ignored.
I didnt report btw, but i dont think youll be any great loss.

I think MNHQ owe you an explanation KTG .

I can't fathom what would be deemed delete worthy in your deleted post.

Maybe MNHQ has been stormed by a crack troop of radLems

MrGin · 17/08/2012 13:41

WTF

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 13:43

Counting the seconds till ur post gets deleted.

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 13:44

That was aimed at gin.
Agree WTF?

UnquietDad · 17/08/2012 13:44

Hello. I still lurk. Don't post any more though. Pan is right, I was here from about 2006-2011.

MrGin · 17/08/2012 13:45

I think she's been deleted.

Oi MNHQ what gives ?

NewStartSameStory · 17/08/2012 13:46

Bloody hell Shock posts are being deleted all over the place! Angry most of them for no obvious reason.

Changlingz · 17/08/2012 13:46

UQD- a big hello.

This is very mysterious, and in Dadsnet as well.

NewStartSameStory · 17/08/2012 13:47

Evening UQD.

MrGin · 17/08/2012 13:50

I can only speculate she was banned for something elsewhere, but search just reveals she spends ages talking in conception.

I read her original deleted post and there was nothing what so ever that broke any guidelines or was in any way offensive, except maybe if you were a bone.

You missed a few by the way MNHQ.

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 13:51

Afternoon UQD

Shock
NewStartSameStory · 17/08/2012 13:52

And it only appears to be this thread on which she is deleted. Very odd. Mind you it is possible she has multiple names and she did something in a different name. I have given up trying to figure out mn logic.

NewStartSameStory · 17/08/2012 13:53

*MNHQ logic

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 13:53

I dont get it. I read post and i still dont get why it was deleted.

UnquietDad · 17/08/2012 13:56

No big mystery to my departure - it all got a bit much, that's all, combining with Real Life. And DW's on here now, so I risk saying stuff that could out me!

Who knows, I may come back and say the odd thing from time to time.

I got my head bitten off in the Feminist section a few times too. I think the problem with it is that a lot of the feminist posters are used to such fora being "safe spaces" where they can sound off without being challenged, and without men coming in and, as a certain notorious poster delightfully put it, "vomiting all over our table." (A real charmer, that one was.)

But the MN Feminist section isn't a feminist "safe space", it's a section for open debate, challenge and banter (though that word's become a bit Awkward Turtle) like any other. And I think that caused a few misunderstandings.

TheDreadedFoosa · 17/08/2012 13:59

I love having a good old potter around Dadsnet, its calm and slightly goofy.

I think ktg was just here to stir up a bit of aggro. Good riddance.

TheDreadedFoosa · 17/08/2012 14:03

Although i wish there wasnt so much harping on about FWR. Say what you have to say on the relevant thread but they're not your enemy.
