How does it feel tone in here?

I'm just pooling around on my iPad, wasting time, when I realized that Dadsnet is in the club section of mn and wondered how people felt about that?

Would it be more relevant to be in the parenting section, or does there even need to be a separate section?

Just curious, really, but it sort of feels like being a Dad is some kind of hobby group you might sign up to on a Thursday evening, when I suspect that really it's part of everyday life.

KickTheGuru · 17/08/2012 11:21

I think the scary thing is "what's WRONG with me breastfeeding my 4 year old while my husband sleeps in another room? My baby NEEDS me" isn't actually the OP taking the piss Shock Hmm

MrGin · 17/08/2012 11:22

I once mis-posted ( thinking I was posting in an old clique ) in the middle of some raging argument about God knows what that I had my favourite underpants on and was putting the party music on :o

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 11:24

MrGin i remeber that so funny lol

KTG. What on earth did you say, and who would report it?

MrGin · 17/08/2012 12:20

? Eh ? Why on earth was that deleted / reported ?!

MrGin · 17/08/2012 12:23

Oh for God sake, someone has been reporting posts all the way through this thread if you look back.

utter ........

MrGin · 17/08/2012 12:24

< rustles newspaper in an angry fashion >

NewStartSameStory · 17/08/2012 12:28

I am glad it is not just my med addled brain that is confused by the deletion. I like dadsnet/ the male pov as it is generally factual. Not as emotionally driven. Emotions and this house is like standing next to a tub of gunpower with matches. One false move and it is going to end badly.

And it was obviously not yesterday that the cooking apple eating occured. Everyone else slept soundly Envy

NewStartSameStory · 17/08/2012 12:31

The early deletions on the thread happened last night though. A couple of them had happened before I joined the thread.

Changlingz · 17/08/2012 12:33

There's been a lot if deletions.

There's a saddo out there, poised to report.

Get a life.

MrGin · 17/08/2012 12:35

Oh well , whatever. Life goes on. If some trigger happy lemon sucker is hovering over the report button more fool them.

MrGin · 17/08/2012 12:40

< pulls a party popper >

peoplesrepublicofmeow · 17/08/2012 12:40

hahaha changlingz , this really made me laugh

^' I have been here 4 years and Dadsnet has always been a bit like a quiet, empty bar with the odd bloke nursing a pint, some football on a screen in the corner, a buxom barmaid looking surly...

...and a loud, wild, hilarious party of mostly women going on in the room next door.

Occasionally a tipsy woman will stagger in through the doors, clutching a bottle, wearing a party hat and blowing a party vuvuzela. She will then laugh uproariously at us, say what a bunch of saddos we are in here and invite us to come in and join the proper place if we have the balls. She will then slosh and teeter her way back through the door again, cackling madly.'^

why are posts getting deleated? seems odd to me it's a fairly innocent and no so serious thread.

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 12:47

What happened? Why the deletions? MNHQ please explain?

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 12:47

Goes off to see if anything i posted has got deleted.

I suspect you'll be able to time with a stopwatch how long my above post remains undeleted.

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 17/08/2012 12:58

Lol i think your right.

MrGin please dont namechange i like your nn :(

None of my post have been deleted :-p

MrGin · 17/08/2012 13:00

The early deletions are because I dared to mention a rather unpleasant state of affairs which MN seems to want to forget, even though it's still happening. I've seen a raft of posts saying people are uncomfortable posting in FWR ( now chat )

put it this was I don't think it's a RadDad doing the reporting.

Why KicktheGuru's post above was deleted is a mystery. It was completely unrelated.

MrGin · 17/08/2012 13:00

And lo, we're talking about it again !
