Velogames appears down at the moment but I know my team will be doing badly so probably best I can't look!

OK so method of team choosing - pick a few higher value people from the top categories, forget Ganna, go back and rearrange to put him in, realise I have two spots left and only 8 points remaining.

Need two four pointers, get the list up and close eyes and point at screen. Pick nearest rider to finger.

I wish I'd seen Taco, because I'd have picked him on the basis of "great name" and then he won a stage!

That's exactly how I picked him Endo, his name just shone out. Ganna on the other hand - I'd completely forgotten he existed. And I pretend I like pro cycling.

I forgot Ganna last year so was determined to remember him this time.

@lljkk I have Sagan. I thought he would be worth it as Quickstep weren't sending a sprinter so he would get more points even if he didnt win a sprint stage. To be fair, so far my only non scorer so far is Jai Hindley.

Bit miffed Ewan is ducking out for the Tour training thing. Not in the spirit of velogames, innit. He should be told. Avoiding early exiters for another race just means choosing a velogames team is even more fraught!

Have they always had that bit when you click on each riders name in your team you can see the percentage of other people who have them? Was quite impressed with my 1.7% of other people with Taco but obviously gone very mainstream by picking a Yates at 49% of the teams containing one or both

I picked the Yateses too, but am yet to see the benefit of this decision. They were expensive, as well.

Yes, I'm wondering about the wisdom even of getting a buy-one-get-one-free deal on the Wine Lodge boys.
One of my team attracted 1.6% choice, and he is being...consistent with expectations.

I continue to follow these threads, not because I am particularly following the Giro but because maybe just maybe some of these "new" name will become more familiar before I have to make the TdF choices

@MrSlant Probably my best value rider in that regard is Christopher Juul-Jensen, 1.3% picked him but he has scored 94 points.

I'm pinning hopes on Pello Bilbao getting me points today. After crazy fast descending he did in... Tour de Romandie?

My least chosen rider is Simone Petilli (0.2%). I feel sure I saw him in a great breakaway this spring in another race. Then again, may have mixed him up with someone else (!)

I wonder if there were any riders that nobody picked at all.

@lljkk I saw that Romandie stage and that was the exact reason I picked Pello Bilbao, he had better repay my faith.

I'm kicking myself over not picking Chris Juul Jensen, as my very scientific method of team selection was to begin with the riders I've met. As I've met Chris a couple of times he should have been in but I overlooked him and he would certainly have been good value so far!
I'm hoping that my climbers are going to come good in the high mountains though.....lots of time for everything to change yet!

Pah! Caleb has abandoned. I'm very disappointed in him to be honest. I know it's something sprinters do and I was expecting it at some point but not so early and certainly not whilst not in the maglia ciclamino.
