Thankfully my gamble on the winner of the TT paid off, otherwise my team wasnt stellar yesterday. Still it's a marathon not a sprint.

@MrSlant don't worry, Peter Sagan had a pretty successful mountain bike career as a junior but eventually saw the light!

I wish ITV 4 would cover this, their highlights are so much better than Quest's.

I'm glad you said that, I hadn't realised Quest had highlights. Although they're not great, I watched it in Welsh yesterday (and didn't understand a word )

Do we know what the littering guidance is? at 10k we had a shower of bidons being hurled into the grass fields. Littering the countryside with plastic bottles!!

They may have started hurling bottles about 200m before the bottle offload zone, but I think will be ok, in the spirit of the rules. Did you see the bottle explode, DH wonders if that was intended. All the times we went to stand on roadside for Grand Tours and never got a bottle or rosette, I feel envy at the spectators.

Spectator seemed to get a bit of a shower from a bottle at 10K.

We have a bottle somewhere from the Tour de Yorkshire that landed in my mum's front garden!

I haven't caught up on the days events yet but note that I am in dead last place. What's Italian for plus ça change? 🙄

Wasn't 't that just the most amazing end to a race, the look on Taco's face when he realised he was going to make it was brilliant. The number of times he managed to say fuck on camera was also pretty impressive

Next big race I'm going to make an entire team of names that tickle me and see if that's the best way to do well.

I love it when a breakaway makes it. He was considering retirement as he didnt have a contract so it is lovely that he won.
