This is for results. See tour de France thread for details.

I thought that prettybird. Was really surprised when doing the sums today that nobody else had him as I was sure I'd remembered him being in another team. You never know what is going to happen though, Thomas de Gendt is always in the breakaways but there's no points unless you make it to the end, which doesn't happen very often.

Having just seen that it was Woods that took out G and nearly all of team Ineos I am nominating him (of course he is in my team) for the first subtraction of the tour!

EndoplasmicReticulum · 14/07/2019 09:40

Not sure Mr Slant, did he do it on purpose?

OP posts:
prettybird · 14/07/2019 10:46

If Wolef didn't score any points yesterday, isn't she still on 115 points?

(sorry Wolef Wink - but I'm sure you don't want to share that lanterne rouge Grin)

MrPan · 14/07/2019 12:25

I agree with MrSlant. Big Fanny points off for Woods. Deliberate or not it was a miscalculation where he should have known better....but it's the Commisar's final decision...

And it would help MrSlants attempt at a glorious oblivion, which we should all support. Grin

MrPan · 14/07/2019 12:36

Cyclingweekly have a list of penalties handed out so far. Inappropriate disposals of bidons figure highly. As does drafting. As does urinating in public......whilst drafting....

EndoplasmicReticulum · 14/07/2019 12:47

Yes sorry typo, Wolef is 115 and still has lanterne.

OP posts:
EndoplasmicReticulum · 14/07/2019 12:49

Will take 20 off for Woods then when I recalculate later. Do not want to know about urinating while drafting that is grim.

OP posts:
MrPan · 14/07/2019 13:14

Tis grim. I made that one up.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 14/07/2019 15:17

Ah, that's a relief :-)

Just a warning that update will be late tonight as I am going to the pub and won't get a chance to watch highlights until after my return. So may needs some sums correcting.

OP posts:
MrSlant · 14/07/2019 22:13

Thank you for supporting my glorious race to the bottom MrPan Grin

DS1 and 2 were watching with me yesterday (age 19 and 17) and were reduced to floor clutching giggles when Eurosport inadvertently showed one of the riders 'winkies' as he took a comfort break. It's good to know they aren't too mature to find that sort of thing funny still. Feeling very sorry for the riders who are fined though, what are they supposed to do, find a suitable portaloo?

EndoplasmicReticulum · 14/07/2019 23:12

Stage 9 results.

Olinguito 160, Wolef 150, Pan and Endo 40, Felicity and Prettybird 20, Mr Slant and Alpaca 0.

I took -20 from Woods for crash yesterday hence Mr Slant losing 20 from overall score.

I have awarded a bonus 20 points to Richie Porte for managing to make it through stage 9.

Overall score:
Endo 1790
Pan 1590
Olinguito 1235
Felicity 1220
Alpaca 705
Mr Slant 405
Wolef 265 (go Darryl Impey!)
Prettybird 175

OP posts:
SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/07/2019 23:59

Hurrah for Darryl!

prettybird · 15/07/2019 08:21

Congratulations Wolef Smile

Daryl Impey was another one that almost, but didn't, make my team HmmGrin

MrPan · 15/07/2019 08:53

Have no concerns MrSlant - they will never stop giggling at that sort of stuff. A colleague and I, both on the wrong side of a big age number, independently guffawed at the word 'dongle'. It's the gift..

I remember a rider on Stage Two in 2014 (Yorkshire-my back garden-Yorkshire) saying there was no 'safe place' to wee, the crowds were out on the fells/hills as well as the towns.
This is slighty contradicted by another rider who described the stage as "like riding through a night club".....which suggests there were plenty of places to wee....
I'll stop making such references now....

Olinguito · 15/07/2019 11:13

Yay, some unexpected points from Benoot!
And what a brilliant day for sport, even if it did require several screens in use simultaneously.

EndoplasmicReticulum · 15/07/2019 11:18

Husband was at one point flicking channels between tennis which wasn't ever finishing and cricket which wasn't ever finishing.

Neither of which I am particularly interested in / understand how the scoring works. Plus there's no scenery with those.

Results in early today because I watched live.

Stage 10 - Alpaca and Pan 240, Endo 220, Olinguito 170, Felicity 100, Prettybird Wolef and Mr Slant 0.

Overall:
Endo 2010
Pan 1830
Olinguito 1405
Felicity 1320
Alpaca 945
Mr Slant 405
Wolef 265
Prettybird 175

OP posts:
Olinguito · 15/07/2019 20:49

An exciting day! So pleased to see Wout van Aert win a stage - he seems like a real talent to watch in future.

FelicityLemon · 16/07/2019 14:05

Still comfortably mid table. My excuse is I didnt want to jinx Julian by picking him.

prettybird · 16/07/2019 15:44

So no points for the fact that G is now 2nd in the GC Sad

EndoplasmicReticulum · 16/07/2019 17:51

Sorry prettybird - as this is all a bit last minute decided to just do stage points, not for GC. Alaphillippe gets 20 for being in yellow but nowt for second.

When G's in yellow he'll get points. Or if he gets in first 10 of a stage. Which should happen once mountains get a bit more mountainy. And I'll do some "overall GC" points on the last day.

OP posts:
EndoplasmicReticulum · 16/07/2019 17:59

Appollogies to Alaphillippe if I'm not getting the correct number of ps and ls in there.

Could do a rest day points thing and give out some for positions on GC? What does everyone think?

OP posts:
EndoplasmicReticulum · 16/07/2019 18:00

Bearing in mind this will give me more points as I have the maillot jaune....

OP posts:
prettybird · 16/07/2019 18:40

I was teasing and desperate for points Wink
