What are your thoughts on the above?

I have looked in to it and watched/read a lot of things and can't help but think this is most likely true.

Although it's likely we will never know the truth.

OP posts:

@StarUtopia

Jesus. They're not actually putting the kids inside the cabinets. You're 'buying' the child but not in the actual cabinet!

Definitely to do with the elite, pizza gate (check out the sicko Chrissy Teigans tweets for starters, and Tom Hanks) and trafficking of kids.

We live in a sick world.

The kind of sick world where a man walks I to a pizza parlour shooting a machine gun because of some conspiracy shite he read online.
longwayoff · 18/07/2020 22:34

"I love the poorly educated" said the POTUS shortly after surprising himself by being elected. Why wouldn't he when people are so easy to fool? The Internet is not a reliable news source. Dan Brown is not a historian. I despair.

Awwwshutup · 18/07/2020 22:51

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
You're on the wrong forum!!

Awwwshutup · 18/07/2020 22:52

I also despair

longwayoff · 18/07/2020 22:58

I've just ordered 3 Gertrude Jekylls. I'm expecting roses. If something different turns up I shall blame Hilary Clinton. Is that right?

Pobblebonk · 18/07/2020 22:58

There's definitely some truth in it.

Do you have one iota of actual evidence, @Awwwshutup?

Alabamawhirly1 · 18/07/2020 23:07

Apparently some of the missing kids that had matching names have turned up.

There definitely was somthing dodgy going on, wayfair may not even have known seeing as they are just a hosting site. But it's more likely just money laundering.

There is some weird stuff where pictures showing the for sale items had had weird books or art edited in.

verypeckish · 18/07/2020 23:23

@user1209

When your argument starts taking the form of personal attacks and name calling, it's a pretty clear admission that you don't have anything valid or worthwhile to say.

What's even more concerning is not adults believing the theories, it's adults who can't have a conversation/debate with others, without throwing insults if they disagree.

The trouble is that it's not easy to say that this is all a shedload of utter bollocks without appearing to insult the people who believe in it.
AdoreTheBeach · 19/07/2020 02:01

Goodness me! Does that mean Hobbs has been a leader in on line sex trafficking as their dresses all have girl names?

Holy told go - what’s Ikea about then. Is that in code? Are we all doomed unless someone deciphers the Ikea code? Ikea is just about everywhere!

SickOfNorthernExile · 19/07/2020 08:06

Tom Hanks and Chrissy Teigen? I don’t imagine you’re suggesting they’ve been putting the flat pack child smuggling wardrobes together, so assume you’re talking about Epstein’s plane?
They’re not on the flight logs, it’s bullshit. You can check the logs yourself, they’re available online.

But you should seriously also definitely look up a resource online that can support you to develop your ability to identify “fake news” ... MediaWise (the US one, not the British one, which is a media training company for NGO leaders) is a good start www.poynter.org/mediawise/

This thread has shown how worryingly difficult many adults find it to separate fact from fake news online .

Awwwshutup · 19/07/2020 08:15

Haha well Epstein and Maxwell didn't get arrested for nothing.
Anyway I said Wayfair are not selling children in cabinets.
But there's definitely truth in the matter.
People have children and don't register them, they sell them. Just because you wouldn't do it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
#metoo must have all been fraudulent claims then.
There's literally so much evidence.

These people are getting away with murder, but hey what do I know.

It genuinely seems bizarre to me that most people on here just believe what the TV tells them, yet claim that conspiracy theorists lack critical thinking, which is exactly the kind of thinking required to question the mainstream narrative.

Haha no we live in the kind of sick world where people are so stupid, they actually believe what the government tells them.
That people have allowed themselves to be told what to do, how to do it, and what to think it seems.

Awwwshutup · 19/07/2020 08:18

Exactly, there's so much crap online. If you find a post and follow it to its original source, you'll more than likely find it was doctored or not in the correct context.

That doesn't mean that what's going on is fake news though.

TornadoOfSouls · 19/07/2020 08:23

I love a good conspiracy theory but this one is so bad it doesn’t even meet my minimal standards for a twenty minute cup of tea and a digestive.

Yep.

But you can’t reason with conspiracy theorists, unfortunately. This one is so ridiculous it’s quite depressing that anyone believes it. Nobody is denying that child trafficking happens, they are denying that this has anything to do with a furniture website. But conspiracy theorists tend to see any disagreement or even contradictory evidence as further ‘proof’ of some sort of cover up, unfortunately, so they find it very hard to let go of their ideas.

SickOfNorthernExile · 19/07/2020 08:26

@Awwwshutup

I absolutely believe that children are trafficked, and that Epstein and Maxwell abused children and that there were likely many others involved with them- some of these will be public figures.

Do I believe in Illuminati conspiracies, lizard people and Wayfair wardrobes as a front for child smuggling?
No.

Though I admire the creativity of conspiracy theorists in constructing narratives, I can’t say I’m at all convinced by their research skills. Or ability to discern the difference between fact and fiction.

BakedBlossoms · 19/07/2020 08:27

Why do people who believe these nutjob conspiracy theories never know how to write in coherent English?

blurpityblurp · 19/07/2020 08:42

Conspiracy theorists blindly believe anything they read online. It’s the definition of gullibility.

onalongsabbatical · 19/07/2020 08:42

When I were a nipper, things like cupboards didn't have names, they were just cupboards. Then Ikea came along and every fucking thing under the sun had to have a name. Half a dozen teaspoons? That'll be a Farfellio, madam. That's not an occasional table, that's Cerona. Meet your new bedding, name of Belloniss.
BLAME IKEA - they started naming shit! How many names can people make up before we all go stark staring bonkers?

kimlo · 19/07/2020 08:46

@BakedBlossoms they all just use the same phrases and write in exactly the same way, you could play bingo with them

beleive what the tv tells you
sheep
sheeple
inapropriate use of random capital letters FACT
mainstream media pushing an adgenda, while ignoring the adgenda of the sources they are using
I've done my reasearch while being unable to link to a credible peer reveiwed scientific paper
watch this youtube/facebook video it explains it all

Awwwshutup · 19/07/2020 08:51

Haha ok, well I'm sure 99% of non conspiracy theorists don't even understand what they're saying themselves, as for talking in coherent English. I will assume they have not studied the etymology of the actual words they say.

Hahaha yes it's all IKEA fault. Although they do good meatballs, or so I thought, maybe I'm not so sure anymore 🤔 maybe that's where all the missing children went!
Yes! IKEA meatballs conspiracy!!!

Where did anyone mention lizard people and wardrobes. Hahaha, although that sounds like an interesting plot.

Yes, you have to be careful when conducting research that you're just not flipping over to the other side of the same coin.

Awwwshutup · 19/07/2020 08:52

Well do you believe the mainstream news yes or no lol

ghostyslovesheets · 19/07/2020 08:55

You lost me with the idea of billionaires shopping on Wayfair

longwayoff · 19/07/2020 09:02

Come on ghostly, have you seen the interiors of Donald Trumps residences? I've definitely seen Milania shopping for goldy looking stuff in the Middlesborough branch. Dictator chic.

ghostyslovesheets · 19/07/2020 09:12
Grin
TornadoOfSouls · 19/07/2020 09:17

you have to be careful when conducting research

I think describing it as ‘conducting research’ is a clue as to what’s going wrong here.

Awwwshutup · 19/07/2020 09:26

Well yeah lol that's why I said you have to be careful.
There's no denying the internet is full of out of context shite. That's when it's important to apply critical thinking, which is lacking on each side of the debate.

I think it's been established that Wayfair are not actually selling children in cabinets, although it seems like a strange thing to do, especially when it could all be done on the dark web.

I still think that there's an element of having to reveal the actions in order to class them as acceptable. Therefore avoiding karmic consequences. Something like that.
