Not a great title but can't think of anything catching this time of the morning. Will figure out how to link to the old thread.

Sorry to hear about your daughter Drinks. So hard.

Hope your son is ok Tiny.

My brother has been sentenced and the press coverage has started. We are completely beside ourselves. I thought we were through the worst but I was wrong.

tinytemper66 · 02/09/2018 21:40

Oh Lonely x
Thinking of you and drinks x

Pandamodium · 02/09/2018 21:44

Oh @drinkswineoutofamug I was on your first thread.

I've just caught the last page but has hospitalisation been mentioned as an option?

drinkswineoutofamug · 04/09/2018 08:19

lonely it will be fine, don't worry to much about press coverage. It will be someone else next week, in my experience.

tiny I'm glad your son is alright.

pandamodium no beds. Mh services in this country are poor.

She's in court today, pleading not guilty. Hope she turns up.

MH services in this country are shocking. How on Earth can they send someone home who has attempted suicide? It’s beyond belief. Suicide rates are spiralling out of control. Or maybe we just hear about them more now. I don’t know. It’s really sad that our children and families can’t get the help they need though.

Lonely 💐💐

Lonelystarbuckslover · 04/09/2018 15:19

Thankyou for your kindness. Wheels are in motion for people to move house because they helpfully published his address. He lives in prison! I'm not engaging with any of it. Because of his age, a certain demographic are sharing it all on social media. We genuinely feel as if our lives are over.

drinks please keep us posted about your daughter. This is all so sad.

Andro · 04/09/2018 16:49

Wheels are in motion for people to move house because they helpfully published his address.

There's no need for journalists to do this, it just wrecks innocent lives that are already in turmoil.

We genuinely feel as if our lives are over.

I suspect life as you know it is! You are enduring a life-altering event, you'll find your new normal in time. This is why I see the family as being victims of crime in their own right, there's no denying the horrific emotional (and often financial) impact something like this has.

tinytemper66 · 04/09/2018 17:05

Thanksto you all x

drinkswineoutofamug · 04/09/2018 17:25

She didn't show up at court so warrant without bail has been issued. Better give the house a quick tidy before the police turn up

Oh drinks. X in my thoughts all on here who are going through the mill as it were. X

Groovee · 04/09/2018 19:44

Oh drinks Gin

drinkswineoutofamug · 05/09/2018 08:35

Police never turned up last night. Not sure how long it takes for a warrant to be issued. I'm hoping she's locked up for her bday and Xmas. Might make her think then. I was in bed by 7:30 last night, think I was exhausted

I am still reading the thread my heart goes out to you all
Things are not much different for me my son is still not sentenced

Sammysees · 05/09/2018 13:58

Same here ruby. Everything is so slow. And in the meantime my sons physical and mental well-being is rapidly going downhill. He admitted to me for the first time yesterday that he’s suicidal. I knew he was of course. He’s attempted twice. But he’s never spoken the words to me before. Very un-MN but massive love to all of you who are suffering.

Rubygold4 · 05/09/2018 17:13

I'm out of words, I just pray for strength and fortitude for all of us

drinkswineoutofamug · 06/09/2018 01:28

She's in custody. Police just been for her meds

drinkswineoutofamug · 06/09/2018 08:39

When I asked the nice officer this morning if she will be remanded, he didn't know. I was on the understanding that a warrant without bail, if she skipped her court date she would be held until the next court date 🤷🏻‍♀️
He probation officer said it was a do not collect £200, do not pass go, go straight to jail. Suppose it's going to depend on the judge today. Will wait for a phone call.

Lonelystarbuckslover · 06/09/2018 10:16

I wish I could say something drinks. I am reading and you have my heartfelt empathy. I wish I could give you an actual hug, that's what I want to do to everyone on here.

It's a very lonely devastation.

I feel sick all the time, I'm worried for my brothers mental health and I'm devastated for my Dad. My Dad is struggling although I cry when I realise what a kind man he is - my brothers mum is having to move house (they are not together) because of the address thing, and my Dad is on hand for the practicalities that entails.

Everyone will think we are utter scum, we have been too scared to be seen out this week. How long can we sustain this? Why are we serving a sentence as well?

Rubygold4 · 06/09/2018 10:30

(((Lonelystar)))
I feel for you

Sammysees · 06/09/2018 16:58

What a devastating time we are all having. And how many other families are going through a similar thing right this minute? I wish there was something I could do that would help even a handful of these young men and women who are in trouble because of their mental health. Sad
