Will be brief, daughter due to be sent down. Any one have a clue what to pack? Do we pack a bag? I've looked on line and it's a bit vague . Any help greatly appreciated.

OP your love for your DD shines through your writing. You are a legend. Un-MN hugs for you

Groovee · 27/09/2017 12:31

Just Catching up drinks. Thinking off you. Being a parent is so hard but you are doing a fab job. You care so much regardless of dd's choices.

Sonnet · 27/09/2017 13:04

[FLOWERS]
Don't know what to say but wanted to know I am thinking of you xx

catiinbo0ts · 27/09/2017 13:04

Oh Drinks I've just seen this update. I'm so sorry for you and DD. Addiction is a thief. It steals so much from you. I hope she gets the help she needs, whether it's inside or outside. Much love.

cat x

Scotschic · 27/09/2017 13:09

I would pack some clothes (obvs just casual) and some toiletries+underwear, and some books maybe, everything will be searched anyway x

drinkswineoutofamug · 27/09/2017 13:17

I've not heard off the courts/ solicitor yet. They will be I suppose on their lunch break now.
I'm having flash backs to January when she was remanded the first time and you guys talked me off the ceiling.

That's appalling that the police didn't give her the meds. They should get training in epilepsy. My adult DS has diabetes, that's another illness they should get training in. Hugs to both of you.

drinkswineoutofamug · 27/09/2017 16:10

Phoned the solicitor as heard nothing. The case has been adjourned until mid October. She has till then to prove she's accessed drug support services and is sticking to it. So her choice. 2 weeks.

Maryz

You are absolutely correct about the self medication, there is more heroin in there than out here and I think heroin is the worst drug that there is and a lot of prisoners say that using it gets you through the days quicker, this has even been said by ppl that went in without a habit and came out with one.

I hope that the ops ds just keeps her head down though.

catiinbo0ts · 27/09/2017 18:06

Drinks what is it like in your area? Can she self refer? So
You think she would visit a GP (with you maybe) for a referral?

Waiting lists are so long as well. Can probation push for her to go on a rehab course?

catiinbo0ts · 27/09/2017 18:07

*or not so

Hope it works out for her, Flowers for you op.

catiinbo0ts · 07/10/2017 11:12

Oh no drinks. I'm so sorry.

This sounds a terrible thing to say but maybe she needs another stint inside to detox/dry-out/see sense.

I embraced my recovery on my third sentence.
