Will be brief, daughter due to be sent down. Any one have a clue what to pack? Do we pack a bag? I've looked on line and it's a bit vague . Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi drinks

How are you? When are you seeing DD next? The email system is great isn't it?

How is she coping? Is she any more settled?

I hope her meds have been sorted

x

Glad you can start to see the 'funny' side of it all.

Has DD managed to make any friends yet??? X

drinkswineoutofamug · 30/01/2017 21:40

I suppose I will find out on Thursday cat ,

I've had to gain a sense of humour or I would spend my time crying.

Chin up Drinks , your're doing so well.

youarenotkiddingme · 31/01/2017 07:01

Morning drinks Brew

Glad you have a visit sorted. I think the new top sounds a sensible idea given the alternatives available!!!!

Carollocking · 02/02/2017 06:38

I hope you have a good visit, drinks, and that there is a lot to set your mind at rest.

It is bound to be very emotional for you both, but you will be with your dear girl, albeit it for such a short time ... another hurdle taken.

Thinking about you and your daughter and wishing you the best.

drinkswineoutofamug · 02/02/2017 16:54

Just got home. She's ok. She's been looked after by some older inmates. She's in a shared cell. They won't put her in a house because they think she's mentally unstable and too. Vulnerable to be in the main prison. She is doing her maths and English . A girl has threatened her and tried to attack her but the officers stopped it. So she's now scared . She's spoken to the officers about being scared and they told her she has to deal with it herself , so she's back to not leaving her cell , no showers. She has a woman following her around who 'likes' her. But she's been polite about it . Told her not to tell anyone that she's lesbian in there! The fwexgf is trying to find out where she is . Will put a stop to that. I'm ok, didn't cry this time just hugged her tight and said I would see her next week.

Pleased she being looked after somewhat. I don't think anyone prisoners included should be in fear of violence.

My friend who was in is 34 and a mother she ended up being "buddied up" with newer younger prisoners.

drinkswineoutofamug · 02/02/2017 17:07

Checking social media now to see what the ex is saying about her. Will also speak to her solicitor about it tomorrow .

Glad the visit went well and things are ok for DD. Hopefully the rest will settle down soon.

And well done you for being so strong for DD. Look after yourself this evening and have Wine Cake and a good cry if you need to.

drinkswineoutofamug · 02/02/2017 17:30

Managed to get onto her face book page. There's messages off people about her being inside. She didn't want this. She said it's bad enough letting us down with out people seeing it on fb.
Says mum , trumping it out for the world to see.

Glad the visit went well Drinks, that's why I hate facebook and the local press who have published my son's name and our address on occasion. This isn't a part of parenting you can ever imagine when they are young. You're doing a good job, thinking of you

drinkswineoutofamug · 02/02/2017 18:06

She will get over it. It will be some other bell end in a few weeks time. She's just got to say she was working away! That was her plan, like my big fat diary , she was in France Grin

If you have access to her page, can you delete the comments and lock it so no-one else can comment?

Hanban16 · 02/02/2017 18:48

I have just been reading this thread! Drinks you are doing a grand job! Thinking of you both x

drinkswineoutofamug · 02/02/2017 18:48

Wouldn't know how to. I looked at her page from her sisters page (?) I don't do fb.

ChocoChou · 02/02/2017 18:50

Just wanted to jump on and say what a fantastic job you're doing OP, she's very lucky to have your support and when she gets out I hope she can turn it all around WineFlowers

Carollocking · 02/02/2017 20:19

Glad you saw her today
Sorry that she's having problems with someone in there, they should be helping to sort that as been threatened is not right.
Hope she carrys on and gets though it with some help from others as it's hard without some friends in there I'm sure.
Your doing great job and admire you standing by her when she probably needs you more than ever before.

Broken11Girl · 03/02/2017 01:27

Glad she's relatively ok. The officers need to deal with this other inmate who has been threatening, it's not good enough to tell her to just deal with it Hmm
Oh loved MMFD Grin yes she has to be in France. Ugh, yes had well-meaning people post stuff on my FB when I was in psych hospital, didn't want the world to know (ie 'friends' who I hadn't seen since primary school). It is possible to delete them. Could her sister do that if you're not techy, if she'll give her sister her password?
Keep going Flowers
