Worried about Drumcree

I feel like an interloper here and apologies if this isnt in the right place.

im really worried about the decision over Drumcree and I can’t see it ending well today either way.

I have no time for Jamie Bryson or Carla Lockhart and it seems that tensions have been stoked on both sides.

My parents (and one set of grandparents) were a mixed marriage - my mum and dad moved to England in the 1960s, and my granny and grandpa moved back in the late 70s/80s once they retired. Im aware I don’t have enough if a real understanding, but I have enough to be worried.

again, im sorry if this is the wrong place or offensive.

Like dogs needing to piss against things to get their scent out there. Vile bastards.

Yep that's why MON & Sinn Fein can't believe that the Parades Commission allowed it this year. Why this year for the first time when every other year it gets rejected. In fairness to the OO they are relentless in trying. Stubborn f**kers. Why on earth would they want to risk their lives doing something so contentious. I have to ask how they are allowed to parade in other Catholic majority areas too though. Although these areas pass without incident it's still wrong to parade where they aren't wanted.

The whole point of the parading is to do it where they're not wanted. It's about demonstrating supremacy and triumphalism. You don't get that in your local area.

It looks like the OO are not agreeing to the proposals set out by SOS. GR residents said they are happy if the OO agree. Still no full details but my sense from reading commentators is that the proposal is the OO walk this year then a line is drawn under it. The OO won’t agree as at the start of this they said their intention was a full parade (bells and whistles) next year.

Yes I believe that is their intention too. This is their little way of trying to slip back into the route. I see they tried to march again last night and were prevented...again!
